Is it happy ending? I ask because I will only watch if it is and I have to buy a Viu subscription if I watch it.
Thanks 🙏

Hope we get a female lead who is about 4/6 years younger. His other female leads have been so much younger. I like age gap in western shows (example Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney in anyone but you) since the power difference is not there, but with Korean romance the power dynamic feels off if the female lead is a lot younger.

I love how much the leads love never wavered through it all. no crisis ever lead to a breakup. I love that!

I did watched handmaiden but not entirely, but I remember reading fingersmith written by Sarah waters. Handmaiden…
Are you for real, why would I lie reading or watching the movie 😎. You are so amusingly funny 🤣

I watched those scenes and thought it was necessary to the plot. I am not a judgemental person. If some graphic scenes make me uncomfortable (like bridgerton for example) I fast forward since the overall story and the large themes it wants to portray is more important. Some of the more graphic movies have been the most thought provoking example - bandit queen (how she was exploited), siddhartha (there were scenes), shame (Michael Fassbender about mental illness) and many more. All of these are a part of human experience and sometimes need to be shown in the right context, including birthing scenes which can be gory and graphic (birthing is not easy or pretty) and people who are adults want to experience hard hitting scenes. The movie ratings do reflect that also. Porn is something else entirely

What is the obsession with GL. Also im sure its present seen as KTR has done lesbian porn in the past im sure…
I did watched handmaiden but not entirely, but I remember reading fingersmith written by Sarah waters. Handmaiden is based on fingersmith. Fingersmith was nominated for booker prize for that year and we all know booker prize is awarded to porn writers.
This book was about female exploitation's, murder, r@pe, exploitation of the underclass in the world at that time. The main female lead is brutally abused and has no rights and is helped by the poor servant girl and they form a relationship.
If human experiences where half of the population (rich vs poor), or (men va women), or orphan beggar children being forced into labour seems porn to you, than good for you. Watch shows where only the super rich are shown and realities of life like death, pregnancy, old age and sex don’t exist. These are porn right.

People should realise ageing is very asymmetrical. The graph is not a steady decline. A person at 50 could be far healthier as compared to a person a 35. After 30 a lot of it is genetics (what your parents gave you) and genes (your own unique combination of chromosomes). People usually can be extremely fit until mid fifties and take part in all sorts of events such as the iron man. On the flip side some people can be hammered by a sudden auto immune disease when they are 35. But a lot of it is stress related and I think the life of a Korean actor must be stressful. Which is why their ageing can look very different to normal ageing.

Kaisa hai yeh? Kuchh dinon se I am watching Brigerton, then watching season 1 and season 2 and then watching queen Charlotte and then rewatching season 3 five times. On top of that I am reading all of the brigerton books (I read them way back in 2015). So yes on a loop here. Once I get off that series I was thinking is this good? Is the romance worth it ? Is the story otherwise worth it?

Title DNA Lover
that was my first thought when I read the synopsis
Yeah I remember trying to get someone to source the illumicrate edition of that book. I collect books with sprayed edges if I like them and can source them cheap. I remember not getting it anywhere at the budget I wanted. So this book is very fresh on my mind and I read the synopsis for this drama and I was like “Whoa…. Hold on… what?” This drama story reads like a mish mash of plots from book 1 and book 2 in this duology

Yupp I too felt this. He seems to be the Leo do caprio of kdramaland. He ages but his women are always 25. Right…
It’s a specific age group of women who are pick me and they grow quickly out of it. Till that time damage is done. They are almost always preyed upon by these men. Anyhow nothing new. I am Indian and the worst acts of violence towards women are usually committed by fellow women. No idea why women hate women so much

He is into much younger women apparently. I always found him a bet iffy
Yupp I too felt this. He seems to be the Leo do caprio of kdramaland. He ages but his women are always 25. Right now the age difference is only 10 years but I have a feeling it will keep widening till he is 45 and will settle with a woman who is 22 to 23. I get those vibes from him and my sixth sense with men is never ever wrong.

This drama is so Mormon coded (without the polygamy of course) … nonetheless I am still liking it a lot.

Yes.
Because in most countries the law system has a proportionality clause. The more severe the crime, the more the sentence. Possession of drugs and consuming drug is a minor petty offence in most countries. The narcotics acts in most countries even define the amount of drugs found with you (in grams) and the sentence you get. The sentence is pretty mild for possession (only 3 months to 6 months at max).
But drug peddling could be a severe crime with death penalty also in some countries (Singapore, India 20 years minimum jail). His treatment is not in “proportion” to what he has done that’s why. He is not a narcotics dealing drug boss.
Law should be nuanced a spectrum. Which is why the justice lady holds balancing scales (symbolic representation of law). It’s not like she holds hammer, trying to bash the heads of everyone who commits a crime.
