Yes the actor was wonderful and he made it adorable. But the character to me was a red flag, since I have met such men in real life you know. It’s easy to meet handsome powerful rich dudes especially in consulting worlds. But even if they are nice to you their narcissism means that they have a bite and can hurt you materially if not physically. He was actually very cold and very mean. A ceo who was done well and who respected his employees no matter how inferior they were to him in social ladder was Kang Tae in Business Proposal. I really really liked the way his character was written. He was not a jerk and he did not force himself upon the female heroine to make her like him. He was adorably written 🙂.

Despite everything I still love this drama, since I loved the leads chemistry and interaction. It’s rare when we see someone as a female boss. But I literally deluded myself saying the cheaters don’t exist and blindly fast forwarded whenever they were there on screen the cheaters. I agree with your points, the weirdest thing is that the female lead shows plenty of spine with the sweet male lead and keeps getting angry with him even for the slightest reasons. And I was like “girl you still talk to your cheater ex, you forgave your cheater ex, why are you so mean to this boy”. Nonetheless I still liked this drama, don’t ask me why though 🤷‍♀️. I hate this writer to be honest she is one twisted lady.

Thank you. I will try and watch this. In any case Shakespeares twelfth night which had the same concept is still my favourite story 🙂. I forgave that since that was written in the 1500s, but this is a bit foolish on this dramas writers part. But like you said let me give it a shot 🙂

Want to watch this drama but it’s biologically impossible to have male and female twins be identical. Since males have XY and females have XX chromosomes. So resemble an extent yes but identical no. This is such basic high school level science. Is this drama good otherwise, then I can suspend my disbelief?

I have an entirely different perspective. I do not want to see a Korean remake, because Korean dramas attracts a lot of viewers from more misogynist countries . Which means that we will now be bombarded with comments like “oh the actress has started looking old”, “oh the hero is too young”. The same people who have no problem with goblin where a 40 year old man (that’s the age when he died to become goblin) is romancing an underage heroine, in short the comments will have nothing to do with story or acting. The same way it was for forecasting love and weather. I mean the story was problematic but people kept hating for reasons which have nothing to do with the drama but with the age disparity. I have seen how quality of Korean dramas have dropped since the first time I watched it to now when they cater to more patriarchal audiences. I love Chinese dramas and Taiwanese dramas and I don’t want them to be also spoiled this way. That way then I will have nothing left to watch when I can enjoy a simple story without feeling triggered by the terribly gender biased comments viewers post.

This is such a healthy wholesome drama. No super toxic workplace (forecasting love and weather), no glorified cheating (forecasting love and weather), no stupid unrequited first love (2521), characters who were stuck in the past failing to live in future (2521). I don’t know why this drama was on my bottom list after forecasting and 2521. But I love this one the most… it’s such a squeal worthy, swoon worthy drama. While I liked, loved and hated forecasting in equal measure, dropped 2521 out of sheer boredom. This is how secretary Kim (this is most my hated k drama due to the toxic hero) should have been without a jerk face ceo, one who makes his employees work like medieval slaves with no rights. This one is so so so good. It shows how an old wine in a new bottle can taste just so sweet. Love it. 12/10 for me.

U know like for some readers it’s ok to skip pages when reading a book? I usually do that for super long Brandon Sanderson novels where it’s 1000 pages long and multiple plot lines, but I still love his books. This drama was similar to me. What I hated I totally skipped and what I liked I loved (weird I know) so maybe see if you still like it after skipping. By the way skip ep 12 to 14, they are well and truly horrible.

I hope this is a good drama. I loved Melancholia but didn’t like Song Hye Kyo in recent dramas. I did like her in that winter the wind blows. She was amazing in it. She did the part of a blind heiress very well. She did not come off as weak or helpless even once. So for that was a very sensitively played role by her defying usual conventions that visually impaired people should look helpless. That why I keep tuning in to watch her amaze me again. But sadly it’s not happened. So hopefully she will deliver this time. Lee Do Hyun is superb as usual. I am ok with watching age difference since usually outside of K dramaland we usually see male leads who are sometimes older than thirty years even so don’t understand this hypocrisy. But really I hope song hye kyo delivers

Uff when will this start airing? Never waited so long for any drama and with so much excitement. Xu Kai always delivers and so does Yang Mi.

The way to watch it is to pretend it’s a 10 episode drama and skip all the scenes with 1) them talking to their exes 2) the scenes of the cheating exes. If you cut that story line out and pretend it does not exist, I did a quick rewatch on fast forward and surprisingly found it quite nice to watch this time around which is why I raised my personal rating from 1 after 15 episodes to 7 after 16 episodes (they tied the story quite well) to 7.5 after a quick rewatch skipping everything about that idiot called Han Ki Joon and his cheating wife. Other stories were done well. I personally loved the redemption arc with the Lee Shi Woo dad, since I have seen similar things where people do change after a reckoning with death. This is new for me and my drama watching since I have never raised my ratings on rewatch after initially thinking of giving it one star. So just wanted to drop by and share my second thoughts. 👍

I agree. Just because of the last episode I gave this drama 7 even though I was planning to give it 1. Felt like a different writer wrote ep 1 to 9 and then ep 15/ 16. In my mind, if I rewatch this drama I will skip all the cheater scenes and skip ep 10 to 14.

And honestly why cheating? In this day of cell phones if someone has to be cowardly they can even break up over a text message and then ghost. Breakup even for people who hate confrontation is so easy. So I don’t see this point of this cheating anyways it’s a flaw in writing also. It shows how behind the times the author is

I know some people here have said that showing the cheating couple is mature but I really think that at least a discussion was warranted within the drama about how horrible cheating was. This was not addressed even once. Cheating can be construed as mental abuse. Also *trigger alert* I have seen cheated upon parties so hurt that they would do self harm and drugs etc. There may be people out there who are ok with it. But some sensitive souls may get shattered with life altering consequences when their trust is broken. I really feel that the author is pro cheating based on how she has written her story. It’s almost like if you love someone (even if they are attached) go for it without thinking of how much hurt your actions cause others. The second female lead regrets not even once what she did. And that’s not a view that really is great in my humble opinion

I liked till episode 9. I liked 15 and 16. The middle ones were a mess, if this was a Netflix type show where all the episodes were lumped together, I think it would have been better. However with this format there were weeks where this show became unbearable to watch.

Flaw or 2521? 2521 is not my jam so cannot say. Did not watch one episode got too bored. Flaw redeems itself somewhat. To me the star and as I keep repeating ad nauseam is Brigerton
