You need to change your home dude asap 😶. Peace āœŒļø with you and yup i agree with you that writers deserve…
Literally all these events in all different cities šŸ˜€.
On Forecasting Love and Weather Feb 12, 2022
I love how they take weather seriously. As someone who has witnessed massive floods, one massive tsunami, three earthquakes, one landslide and one lightning strike in my home (thankfully no volcano yet. I still don’t know why this has happened to me.) I am so glad, that government agencies exist who job is to safeguard people. The details in this drama is amazing and it shows that the writer did a great job. I wish that writers became as famous as actors since it’s their work which ultimately makes everything shine. A great start today.

To all the supporters of this drama, let's keep on supporting this drama and our faves. As you all can see, there…
I agree I can see people here itching to have the ratings open up so they can downvote. I wish we could write to mydramalist moderators since there are some very toxic people. Including some who I can see are using abusive language but using non English languages. It’s super toxic. One will have to abandon this website if it continues to be so horrible

2 eps in and I'm not feeling anything..does it get better?
It’s super boring based on my super subjective opinion. But it’s just me. Most people love it. So maybe watch a few more episodes to see if this is you cup of tea? Another thing I observed ( and I could be wrong since I have a bias so it could just be selective bias on my part) The main leads keep crying from ep 14 until ep 19. It’s weird. Thankfully we don’t have such crying dramas anymore.

Title Wok of Love
Awesome chemistry between literally everyone in this drama. That’s very rare. The only other drama I saw like this was strong woman so bong soon. I was really invested in all the side characters with their flaws even. Including ā€œmiss onionā€. I have seen sheltered pretty rich older ladies like that who mean well but cannot lift a spoon but are cute nonetheless who make their family treat them like a porcelain doll. who are still loved.

unlike all the hater hating on noona drama I love it, but I don't like that long age gap like goblin, and my romance…
Me too I love noona romance. But the age difference should not be too much to be awkward. In this drama it’s not she in mid thirties and he is almost thirty. I mean if a man is old enough to probably die serving in the army he is old enough period. For reverse age difference I am ok with men being up to 10 to 15 years older as long as it’s not creepy. Goblin was in creepy zone since she was a minor. It was very lolita like for me goblin and super creepy. Especially with woody Allen and their fascination for teenage girls, it totally Icked me out. He was even her guardian since that’s literally the title and they are supposed to be like father daughter. marriage contract I loved since the lady was a mother and they looked equal socially and emotionally. I also loved clean with passion since the girl seemed more in control and the man needed more support so they were equals and balanced each other

Song Kang is a pretty good actor...šŸ˜’
That’s the main issue I feel. People watch the most overhyped run of the mill silly dramas (example love alarm , secretary Kim, descenders of the sun) and then say why is their acting bad. The thing is Navillera is a gem and Song Kang acting was good and but it’s difficult to watch that’s why. Similarly Remember was difficult to watch it was very hard hitting (tackling exploitation of women, chaebols mistreating people and Alzheimer) and real. But it’s our problem what we chose to watch really not the actors who clearly want to act showcasing a range of their talents.

Song Kang is a pretty good actor...šŸ˜’
Watch him in Navillera. Definitely not smiling or sweet home not smiling. I think he should go for anti hero or ā€œgrim darkā€roles. He has the height and can actually act well and not do the usual fluffy k drama hero roles. I wish Korea had more of these. One of my favourite acting chops role was how evil NamGoong Min was in remember. Park min Young was also awesome. I kind of feel sad for Park Min she seems to like dark roles as evidenced by city hunter, remember, weather is fine and queen of seven days and has done a great job. But only the silliest of them all (secretary Kim) became famous and she got typecast.

Most dramas there days - Bulgasal, Snowdrop, Tale of the nine tailed have featured men who are more than a decade…
To be honest I did not mind at all what she wrote šŸ™‚. As an Asian I feel so glad that Korean dramas are getting the international due šŸ™‚. And hence more body positivity, more diversity and more age representation especially of older women is probably needed since they are emerging to be trend and thought drivers of global entertainment

I like the three actors a lot!! My only wish is that the romantic couple (if there is romance whatsoever) is Oh…
Most dramas there days - Bulgasal, Snowdrop, Tale of the nine tailed have featured men who are more than a decade older. No one says anything. Why is this a problem if 4/10 dramas men older, 5/10 dramas same age, 1/10 dramas women older. At least Korea is showing some diversity. Korea is saying that age is not a bar for women. I think it’s really important. If you don’t like don’t watch šŸ™‚šŸ‘. When you cross thirty you will see how horrible the world is stacked against older women be it at workplace, social places and in entertainment. If women are laid off, it’s hard for older women to find another job if they have started looking old. All of these biases add up and we all will grow older you will too. I in fact wish there was more diversity and they showed us older women, older men, and disabled main leads also.

I respect your opinion but according to me this male lead is one of the most endearing and lovable male leads…
As a boyfriend he was not but as her boss he was. Was there not a old English saying ā€œjudge a human by not how he treats his equals but by how he treats his inferiorsā€. Plus he was very possessive and controlling. The thing with kabir singh was that he was written to be unlikable but here in secretary Kim, his behaviours were glossed over. Which is why I actually liked Kabir Singh beucase they showed his redemption arc and he did lose his medical license and he lost his social equity with his family and others, so he paid his dues. A very complex character portrayed very well. This guy I found him mean and he did not pay for his behaviour at all and it was all fine and dandy. Having said that of course opinions differ šŸ™‚.

Why's there so much hate for Song Kang? I've only seen him in Nevertheless, but he was great there. Sure, he was…
I think it all correlates. In South Korea the idols are scrutinised so much and not even allowed to date. Same goes for actors I a guess the moment their fluffy bunny image is shattered people have a problem. He portrayed a dark character and people conflate him with that. Which is so absurd. Basically this means that act in fluffy pain vanilla dramas such as beloved summer or else get blacklisted. This is why I never see them play anti heroes. The only actor who has broken this trend was namgoong min in remember and boy did he play that well. I actually don’t think song Kang is bad at least he acts better than Cha Eun woo. He did a good job in navillera.
On What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Jan 25, 2022
I have never hated a male lead so much. He was such a huge jerk. Just because he was handsome and rich does not mean that’s ok. One of the most toxic leads I have seen, very similar to Kabir Singh (an Indian movie). This is in such contrast to private life. Ryan gold was really Gold. He was progressive (open to LGBT) people, professional, respectful and also supported the heroine in her madcap adventures. Private life showed that beautiful, rich, talented Men do not have be such massive egotistical jerks. Another drama with a fluffy bunny amazing and super cool hero for me was Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Third drama with respectful and vulnerable but strong hero and a rich CEO was private life of my secretary. Veronica park was legendary. The hero really shined in that drama. This drama is horrible, is offensive to women and I don’t understand how women can like being bullied like this. It’s inhumane to make someone work 18 hours a day for 10 years without a break. She did it because she has a loan to pay. With COVID around I have seen people around me struggle even if they had to put in 12 hours a day, how it this ok and in with country or planet is that ok.

Totally agree. I loved the maturity of this drama, the relationships and how there really is character growth…
Also when you are younger the patriarchal society always wants you to be with the guy who like you so basically saying men can get what they like and women should roll with it. But as you grow older in life and you have seen how women are made to do things which are hard and the whole society keeps telling them what to do like painful pregnancies or feeding babies and not sleeping for years etc, you release how important it is to do things you like for a change even if it may not always work out. I think older women will have a different view of this drama šŸ™‚. To be honest I found the noddle guy more toxic ā€œ I am the man. I have the honourable intentions. Be mine and I will follow you everywhere. She should be honoured since I care so much about her. ā€œ But he never asks her what do you want like ever. As if that’s not important. It felt like mansplaining and that he was talking down to her. While the so called toxic guy kept saying it’s your choice and be with me as long as you don’t have any regrets. I will respect your boundaries and back off if you have regretsā€

Dropped it in the middle! This drama is simply frustrating tbh. The male after being dumped very hard every time,…
I agree. Even as a woman this is offensive. Someone breaking up with you is painful. They have already badly hurt you once. You were sad about it once. But if you keep going back to the same person you really don’t have any self respect. It does not augur well for such relationships. Imagine they get married and she cannot conceive (hypothetical) is she again gonna run away after a brutal breakup. If they face any kind of hardships is she again gonna run away? Forget about being a girlfriend it’s hard being even friends with such a person. It’s just like a broken record this drama, break up make up cry and be sad and then again make up… gosh this to me is the worst drama I watched last year
