Totally agree. I loved the maturity of this drama, the relationships and how there really is character growth…
Exactly and once he graduates college, girls will not be fawning over him anyways. People even the girls who follow him everywhere will mature. At work we are all used to seeing super good looking people around us but it’s not anything. It’s how you work. While in college girls do fawn over “dude” type boys. He really did have a lot going for him including the fact that he walked his talk. Only thing was that I was not convinced about the economic aspect of the show. How will these kids make money. Yu Nabi did not appear to have jobs lined up. And it’s weird that for a college show, there was nothing about money and how to earn it.

How many Park Min Young's dramas have you watched? It's her 3rd office romance. Please go and watch all her dramas…
Everyone is typecast since they carve out a niche for themselves. For example Nam Joo Hyuk only seems to come in retro dramas, Hyun Bin has played a super rich jerk hero in more than 5 dramas, Park Seo Jooon is always the rude and tough guy, Lee Jun Ki is always coming in dramas where he gets to look pretty in beautiful hanboks. Lee Min Ho is always the super rich guy. The only difference is that they are all men.

And people saying that they look like mother and son before the drama aired are also welcome!
That’s unfortunately true. At the same time two weeks ago when people were viciously trolling PMY, people were very mean about Priyanka Chopra to the extent that some were wishing Ill about the newborn child too. Strange thing is, before Priyanka almost 10 men from Indian movie industry did surrogacy and not one person had a problem. I literally woke up that day to see WhatsApp groups flooded with people saying mean stuff about PRiyanka and when I opened YouTube I saw mean stuff about PMY. And then I saw Jennifer Lawrence being trolled for Timothee Chalamet when he is just 5 years young and people praising her for starrring with Bradley Cooper when she was just 20 and he was 36. People are really mean and sometimes I think we are still stuck in the Victorian age.

The same double standard people who have no problem If George Clooney and Michael Douglas marry ladies 2 decades younger but troll on social media if actresses like Priyanka marry ten years younger. On YouTube the comments about this drama were very mean. And PMY was trolled. Whilst people had no problem with Bulgasal where I am sure the age difference is around 15 years.

Park Min Young with Park Seo Joon had the best chemistry for me even better than Healer (I didn't like Her Private…
It’s so funny how people perceive 🙂. The only drama I did not like was secretary Kim since I did not like the ceo and the power dynamics were off for me. Loved her chemistry with socially awkward healer version two, and with Yoo ah in sungkunkwan (no romance but the friendship was great)

I loved this episode superb chemistry. I also am loving the mom, her reaction is priceless. Another thing is that despite being a noona romance they have not made it a big deal about age neither is there too much power distance. I don’t like how they sometimes show the male lead too weak if it’s a noona romance for example encounter (it was a bit weird). My best noona romance if I can call such was Proposal, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. In that movie he was the only one who could handle her crankiness. Other age difference romances are marriage contract UEE and Secret Terrius which had equal power balance. Loving this drama so far

Only Korean dramas could make weather forecasting appear as intense as being in Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen
As someone who is south Asian myself but lives in east Asia, I can assure you that East Asian government employees take their jobs more seriously than corporates. For example in Singapore post office staff work 8 am to 9 pm and even on weekends. I have witnessed them being in the line of fire by bosses. In New Zealand A kiwi citizen can actually file a case against you and demand a rundown of each minute you spent at government office, to see if you are not wasting tax payers money. I have worked with a lot of government agencies in ASEAN and Aus and NZ and have been answerable for every minute including washroom breaks. In comparison at least the employees in this drama seemed more free they could take coffee breaks. Plus it’s a sense of responsibility they are indirectly in charge of peoples lives since weather discrepancies have killed people think of 2006 Tsunami, Fukushima disaster and Hurricanes in USA. These people do have an important job.

I love how they take weather seriously. As someone who has witnessed massive floods, one massive tsunami, three earthquakes, one landslide and one lightning strike in my home (thankfully no volcano yet. I still don’t know why this has happened to me.) I am so glad, that government agencies exist who job is to safeguard people. The details in this drama is amazing and it shows that the writer did a great job. I wish that writers became as famous as actors since it’s their work which ultimately makes everything shine. A great start today.

To all the supporters of this drama, let's keep on supporting this drama and our faves. As you all can see, there…
I agree I can see people here itching to have the ratings open up so they can downvote. I wish we could write to mydramalist moderators since there are some very toxic people. Including some who I can see are using abusive language but using non English languages. It’s super toxic. One will have to abandon this website if it continues to be so horrible

2 eps in and I'm not feeling anything..does it get better?
It’s super boring based on my super subjective opinion. But it’s just me. Most people love it. So maybe watch a few more episodes to see if this is you cup of tea? Another thing I observed ( and I could be wrong since I have a bias so it could just be selective bias on my part) The main leads keep crying from ep 14 until ep 19. It’s weird. Thankfully we don’t have such crying dramas anymore.

Title Wok of Love
Awesome chemistry between literally everyone in this drama. That’s very rare. The only other drama I saw like this was strong woman so bong soon. I was really invested in all the side characters with their flaws even. Including “miss onion”. I have seen sheltered pretty rich older ladies like that who mean well but cannot lift a spoon but are cute nonetheless who make their family treat them like a porcelain doll. who are still loved.

unlike all the hater hating on noona drama I love it, but I don't like that long age gap like goblin, and my romance…
Me too I love noona romance. But the age difference should not be too much to be awkward. In this drama it’s not she in mid thirties and he is almost thirty. I mean if a man is old enough to probably die serving in the army he is old enough period. For reverse age difference I am ok with men being up to 10 to 15 years older as long as it’s not creepy. Goblin was in creepy zone since she was a minor. It was very lolita like for me goblin and super creepy. Especially with woody Allen and their fascination for teenage girls, it totally Icked me out. He was even her guardian since that’s literally the title and they are supposed to be like father daughter. marriage contract I loved since the lady was a mother and they looked equal socially and emotionally. I also loved clean with passion since the girl seemed more in control and the man needed more support so they were equals and balanced each other

Song Kang is a pretty good actor...😒
That’s the main issue I feel. People watch the most overhyped run of the mill silly dramas (example love alarm , secretary Kim, descenders of the sun) and then say why is their acting bad. The thing is Navillera is a gem and Song Kang acting was good and but it’s difficult to watch that’s why. Similarly Remember was difficult to watch it was very hard hitting (tackling exploitation of women, chaebols mistreating people and Alzheimer) and real. But it’s our problem what we chose to watch really not the actors who clearly want to act showcasing a range of their talents.

Watch him in Navillera. Definitely not smiling or sweet home not smiling. I think he should go for anti hero or “grim dark”roles. He has the height and can actually act well and not do the usual fluffy k drama hero roles. I wish Korea had more of these. One of my favourite acting chops role was how evil NamGoong Min was in remember. Park min Young was also awesome. I kind of feel sad for Park Min she seems to like dark roles as evidenced by city hunter, remember, weather is fine and queen of seven days and has done a great job. But only the silliest of them all (secretary Kim) became famous and she got typecast.

Most dramas there days - Bulgasal, Snowdrop, Tale of the nine tailed have featured men who are more than a decade…
To be honest I did not mind at all what she wrote 🙂. As an Asian I feel so glad that Korean dramas are getting the international due 🙂. And hence more body positivity, more diversity and more age representation especially of older women is probably needed since they are emerging to be trend and thought drivers of global entertainment
