tbh for 400yrs that's very little. Some 20yr olds now have a bigger body count than this lol
That means one every 18 years. She wasn’t loyal to anyone and seems to “fall in love” quite easily, so the ML ends up feeling like just another addition to her body count. I’ve put the show on hold because of this — the magic and romance are gone for me. I’ll wait for the finale to see if she gives up everything to be with the ML; otherwise, he’ll just become another body buried in the same place, one more among many she can easily visit, with more likely to follow.

tf is wrong with an A-list actress coming back after a 4 year hiatuas playing a sapphic role? do u understand…
Thanks for saving me from watching this. There’s no tag warning about it. I wanted to watch it for the ML, but I’d rather skip it now. I gave up Western shows because these themes were everywhere, in almost every series. And yes, it’s disappointing to see her, in her 50s, trying to stay relevant by taking on such a role. I’m also disappointed in the ML actor. I guess Korean actors aren’t that different from Western actors after all—willing to take on any agenda for the sake of money.

Then don't watch it. We're not in the 2000s anymore, rom-coms with 1-dimensional FLs characters aren't a trend…
Well, one-dimensional FL characters are actually one of the reasons K-dramas became popular worldwide. Bringing Western-style themes into K-dramas will only lead to their downfall.

What?? That’s far too many for my taste. If this is true he would only be truly special to her if she chose…
Well, they should have changed that in the series. In most adaptations, they change so many things, so they could have changed this too. 22 is just too many, especially with all of them buried in the same place. Creepy. It feels excessive and like too many lovers — just my personal taste 🙂. How does the novel end? Does she give up everything for him?

In episode 23, she said that over 400 years she had 22 lovers. Did she really mean it, or was she just saying…
What?? That’s far too many for my taste. If this is true he would only be truly special to her if she chose to give up her immortality to be with him. If the show ends with her loving him only for the duration of his life, then he’d just become one of many.

I was a bit disappointed that the younger couple didn’t get married at the beginning. The angst in the middle of the series would have been more compelling, and the stakes would have been much higher if they had already been married. It also would have brought something new to K-dramas—a happy, lifelong marriage starting in their early twenties. Instead, they chose the usual route most K-dramas take: possible marriage in their thirties.

Sorry to say but 10 hours of my life wasted on this. 😢 I should have dropped it after episode 4, when I realized it was going downhill and no longer made sense. Not a single character to like.

Disney obviously won't be streaming this series in my country. It's just another drama with limited access. That's…
It seems that Disney won’t be streaming it in my country either. I don’t want to use a VPN just to watch it in another region. If Disney wants my money, they should make it available in my country. So, piracy it is 🤣

I’ve watched the first 6 episodes and I really like it so far. Both the ML and FL are very likable, their chemistry is off the charts, and the visuals are excellent. The ML and FL are equals—equally strong, intelligent, and cunning. So far, I also appreciate that the ML isn’t weakened or pushed to the sidelines just to highlight how “strong and independent” the FL is.

I can’t stand the FL. She’s even worse than the FL from Our Universe, and I didn’t think that was possible. She’s so selfish and weak. She broke up with him 10 years ago for no reason other than her own selfishness. And for what? Just a job at the hotel—because we can’t even say she built a real career. Come on, that inn is a complete joke. And now, 10 years later, she’s even more selfish. She drinks and gets melancholic with her ex while barely caring about the ML or the issues he’s facing with his brother and grandparents. This is honestly the first K-drama where I don’t want the ML to end up with the FL. I hope he saves himself from this horrible FL.

I haven’t started this yet—I was waiting for it to finish to see if there’s a HE. But I don’t like what I’m reading in the comments. From what I understand, the ML is more of a secondary character and we don’t really get to see him in action. I like Zhang Linghe and was mainly interested in this show because of him. The show was advertised around him, and I believe his New Year performance is what generated so much popularity for it. If he’s reduce to just a loverboy and not a main hero on equal footing with the FL, I'll probably skip it and wait for his next project, Overdo.

Forgive her... for dating other people after their breakup that happened many years ago?
After that horrible, selfish breakup, there’s no way she can still be likable—she had no business dating that guy who influenced her and even tried to keep her from seeing the ML while she was working at the hotel. Why was he good enough to date, but the ML wasn’t?

So she dated the SML and even admitted she had feelings for him? I can’t stand her. She ended things with the ML in such a terrible way, then went on to date and develop feelings for the SML—and now the ML is supposed to forgive her and take her back? I’m dropping this.

I can’t wait to watch it, but unfortunately I’ll have to rely on pirate platforms. It seems Disney won’t be streaming it in Europe. I don’t understand why MBC allows their drama not to be officially streamed in certain regions. If Disney didn’t want to cover all regions, they should have licensed the remaining ones to another platform.

Episode 1 was so-so, but after episode 2 I can say it’s really funny top tier humor. There’s a bit of drama too, and maybe some romance will come later.

I had high hopes for this drama. Sadly, it’s one of many recent dramas where the FL doesn’t love the ML as much as he loves her, and I really hate that. Please, C-dramas and K-dramas, bring back FLs who are loving, caring, and loyal—not just MLs like that.

I don’t understand the low rating. The first two episodes were pretty good, and I really like both leads.

is there the possibility of a second couple?
What kind of love triangle? The kind where it’s clear the FL only loves the ML and the SML’s feelings are one-sided, or the Our Universe type of triangle where the FL plays both the ML and the SML? I can’t go through another Our Universe–style love triangle again. 😂

Overall, it wasn’t the worst show. I skipped quite a few scenes, but that’s just me. However, the story wasn’t engaging enough to make up for the lack of romance.

A terrible FL. On a Saturday, she chose to go out with the SML instead of spending the day with Woo Joo. What she did at the end of episode 10 was far too little, far too late. She only needs a baby-sitter and a housekeeper. From the ep 11 preview, it looks like she’s still leading the SML on and hasn’t clarified the situtation. I can’t wait for this show to end so I can erase it from my mind. I’ll never watch anything by this writer again, and I doubt I’ll watch this actress either, after this and Crushology.
