Taking care of a disabled sibling is really hard.First because it's a choice that was made without your consent…
It's caregiver's fatigue. It doesn't mean she doesn't love her sister but she's not in an emotional state to do it properly and so it might be best to take her distances.
She still kept in contact with ger sister and took her of her financially but she wasn't in an emotional state to do so.

Man.. I disliked young ok a bit this episode.. the way she kept ignoring her sister and running away and not seeing…
Taking care of a disabled sibling is really hard. First because it's a choice that was made without your consent Second because you know you'll have the responsibility to take care of your sick sibling until the end of your life. The situation is much worse in the show because she had to be responsible for her sister all alone since she 12
Third point imo, there are no proper facilities to take care of them. The two sisters when in the same class and the facility in which the sister is currently is a small facility run by a compassionate woman.
Let's not for get that it's Korea we are talking about and they aren't the most tolerant people out there (case in point the guy who was pissed to be seated beside the sister in the plane and who changed seat)
It's complicated enough in western countries where people are more aware of Down Syndrome.
Let's not forget that she has been disappointed tome and again in her relationships because no one wanted to accept her sister as she'd be a responsibility they'd have to take on for life. Also, Kim Woo Bin still wants to marry her he'll have to face his family disapproval because in Korea they take these kind of factor into account alongside finances. They'll undoubtedly seethe sister as a burden and also the risk for her to get pregnant with a disabled child as it's genetic.
the age gap.. why.. if it would be other way around.. people would call it out as noona romance..
The age-gap isn't huge or problematic. About ten years or so. There are plenty of dramas out there where there is a similar age gap with the woman being older.
Episode 13 was so good. I had always wondered with about Myong Bo's marriage and had just thought he seemed terrified…
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. I don't think Miran is playing the victim here.
She might be self-centered and childish but for her, Eun Hee is her constant. The person who will always be there for her, the person who will never judge her life choices. I fact, it's Mi Ran who always makes to keep in contact with Eun Hee.
For me, Eun Hee was sooo very wrong here. If she doesn't like confrontation, she could have gone low contact and then no contact with Mi Ran. It would have been quite easy as they already live in different regions. Instead, Eun Hee kept in touch with Mi Ran and was being two-faced.
How can Mi Ran think there is a problem when Eun Hee has never said anything about it ? If one of your friends hurt you, you tell them so that it never happens again. Period. The people one might be the most truthful with are their friends because they are their chosen family.
Now imagine Mi Ran who was already ecstatic to see Eun Hee again -to the point she bought her new curtains, reading about her chosen sister calling her names, not taking her side during a fight (she actually beat her back more than once in the park) when Eun Hee has never showed she disliked her ? She would hurt and question the sincerity of the friendship.
Eun Hee didn't even let Mi Ran talk when she went to fetch her at the airport/station and that's why she still doesn't so she know Mi Ran was ditched by her daughter. It's obvious Mi Ran came looking for the comfort of her friendship but Eun Hee didn't make time for her.
Also, Eun Hee puts herself in the position of always serving Mi Ran, because she has an unresolved inferiority complex imo.
Eun Hee should have spoken up when Mi Ran pulled that joke years ago and not let the resentment fester. It might have been something she'd have forgiven (Miran might have had an explication) or maybe that would have ended the friendship but at least their Eun Hee would'nt need to be an hypocrite. Seems to me that the frienship was one sided on Miran's side for a while already.
The lunchbox incident is sad but they were teenagers. Eun Hee herself forgot about it.
Miran is indeed the victim in this case imo though she should see a therapist because she also has some issues to deal with.
I mean after all her scandals, any one with some brain cells would never consider her pure nor innocent. She is…
I know what you mean but even with all those scandals, it never really affected her as ML was always standing by her side and doing his utmost to salvage her reputation.
The Xiao family (except the sister) also never doubted her. Even when she was pregnant and that the ML was acting standoffish with FL, the aunt was acting as if the baby was undoubtedly ML's when the timing coincided with her running away with SML and her father's mourning period.
And you're right she's just stupid. The people she trusts are untrustworthy and those she doesn't are the one who always help her. She's full of prejudice which is a turn off. We are told she's that smart ladybut we don't see it.

I know what you mean but if you noticed, these scandals didn't affect her much as her husband was always standing guard for her.
The Xiao family (except the sister) never doubt her too.
Heck! The aunt was acting as if the baby FL was waiting was Beinchen's when he himself was acting standoffish with his wife during the pregnancy

SML will appear again on ep 38-39 (trailer,). Work for japan now, together with SFL
He was never a patriot, just an opportunist who couldn't handle being poor and powerless. Had he still been from a well to do family, he wouldn't have even fathom joining YMCA.
Also, he was much more interested in snatching Beichen's wife than completing his missions
SML will appear again on ep 38-39 (trailer,). Work for japan now, together with SFL
And he had the nerve to be hurt when the YMCA kicked him out! They saw this guy's loyalty was shaky. Like how come he could become the Warlod's godson overnight and enjoying the power it brought him to try and challenge Beichen and pretend he was still working toward the cause ?
He's been in all the camps now : the communists ; the warlords and the japanese.
FL is so self-centered that despite living all these years with ML she doesn't know him. It's Shen who had to tell her that Beichen didn't trust their fake story and her fake identity.
I swear! Had FL make just 1% effort to know and trust her hubby, a lot of things could have been avoided. 2ML and 2FL had confidence in breaking them apart because of her distrust and overall attitude.
I might be old school but it's so inappropriate to come to your in laws with another man and acting as if he was your hubby! Especially in this day and age! More so since FL has always been shown as "pure" and gentle. I'm getting secondhand embarrassment.
