What’s up with Bai Xiao Sheng? What sort of spirit is he? I can imagine Yan Hui beating him up after the stunt he pulled in the arena……

Yeah, he was really just a foil for the FL in A Girl Like Me and his character also took strange twists and turns I felt - not well thought out. I think ZY still takes up most of the attention here again but perhaps NH will have a chance to display better skills? Let's see. Anyhow can just enjoy their cuteness 😂. I was just commenting earlier that he at least can pull off that look with those flying side bangs (or I think you once described them as cockroach antennae 🤣).

IKR? Some parts are just laugh out funny - so slapstick. And ZY is looking so pretty - prettier than in WOH. And NH is always so Mcdreamy.............

Actually I think this couple is very cute and I would even say both of them are really beautiful😄. And they are supposed to be running around in the jianghu and getting into occasional fights - lotsa ornaments would be inconvenient/inappropriate. Anyway, it's entertaining and a bit of comic relief amongst some other current heavier costume dramas.

Eh what's wrong with their hairstyles? I was just thinking Neo can really carry off the hairstyle with the two flying side bangs. I remember how poor William Chan's look with the same hairstyle was soo disastrous in Novoland: Pearl Eclipse. And ZY looks so pretty - prettier than in WOH. Plus they have nice new costumes everywhere they run in the jianghu - as if they carry an invisible magic suitcase 😄

Actually I thought the dragon was quite ok..........not sure what those funny twirly creatures were supposed to be but okaylah, it's a fantasy anyway 😄

I'm just hoping it will be a nice not taking-itself-too-seriously rom com with great looking leads 😂

Ah if you watch the penultimate episode in WOH you will see her amazing performance.............I will go check out Youth in the flames of war. She's really pretty in BFTB. Another one of those dramas where they go wandering in the jianghu but can pull out nice new costumes everywhere like magic 😂.

Think the author may be involved in this - she also wrote Cang Lan Jue/LBFAD and Zhaoyao aka The Legends. I remember she was definitely involved in the Legends although she said she was forced to stretch it beyond recognition because the producers wanted soooo many episodes. But that's 2 dramas with happy endings so there's hope for this one...........

Have you seen her debut in WOH? If not highly recommend - she pulled off an amazing performance especially at the end............and I think at that time she was still finishing college?

I still haven't watched the last 12 eps - the characterisation of YXW in the eps leading to the tower scene was so botched and so disappointing - just felt sorry for LYX and BL - why can't they get great scripts...........I switched over to The Ingenious One for the moment and now this lah.

Yeah, right? You know what I'm talking about......not going to mention the name of recently aired drama cos am still getting over my punctured expectations. Just hope they don't press the self-destruct button on this drama too...........I like this author's works - hoping that this will turn out to be more Cang Lan Jue/LBFAD than the farce that Zhaoyao/Legends turned into.
