I know right! He is downright impressed whenever she hits him or does like practically anything! He was amazed when she begged (not forgiven him for that yet), when she stabbed him with the candlestick, and if you have seen the previews when she slaps, and throws the knife. He doesn’t even try to hide it! He was so calm when she held it to his neck. He is a trained fighter who has been in battles. That wasn’t even like minutely scary for him. Put FLS in his position and he would’ve fainted. I don’t know if people noticed but YX and FLS start somewhat similar. Good for nothing playboys, only that YX is more as I THINK more mature, smart and cunning.

It is a plot hole, but maybe he tolerated her until she hurt his pride at the party. Plus, I think she never really rebelled until the party. So at its core, this conflict is just a very rich man being cranky over being told ‘no’.

True, I am biased and all, but he was genuinely surprised when she actually agreed. It was clear he was playing and didn’t actually expect her to do that, but when she did he was like “This thing just got real!”. Though it doesn’t excuse him, let’s hope Leshan beats him real good.
