Actually in episode 9 the Kangning goes to meet him and then the ML starts talking about how the family is not of nobles and they should be grateful. They can't expect his mother to treat them with the same respect. He wasn't wrong, but as someone who wanted to marry them, it was... sad and quite heartbreaking. I wrote this review when Chai An wasn't at his best or fully developed, but later Chai An did become the best boy and I did side with the SIL alliance. Yeah so, he was kind of hateful in ep9, but ONLY ep9

I am waiting for the scene from the outro where LeShan pulls YX away from the parents and again when she bangs the gong. I mean, they are my favourite out of the 5, but still, like, I can’t wait. I am too curious about them. I want all episodes right this instant.

YX is such a sweet boy. Like he is not a villain. He stood up for her (You can’t convince me that he wasn’t planning on smashing the faces of those pieces of trash). And then the concubine jiejie’s story, and then how he smiles so loveingly whenever she beats someone, then how he shyly blushes and hides whenever she gets close to him. You can’t tell me that is the behaviour of a villain neither can you convince me he is not about to become a lovesick puppy in the next episode(s). Oh and bonus, his thoughts about the family and how he literally becomes a boy in presence of Madam Li. He is such a sweety. Definitely kinky though.

He was amazed when she begged (not forgiven him for that yet), when she stabbed him with the candlestick, and if you have seen the previews when she slaps, and throws the knife. He doesn’t even try to hide it! He was so calm when she held it to his neck. He is a trained fighter who has been in battles. That wasn’t even like minutely scary for him. Put FLS in his position and he would’ve fainted. I don’t know if people noticed but YX and FLS start somewhat similar. Good for nothing playboys, only that YX is more as I THINK more mature, smart and cunning.

ep 8 and I can’t hold in my laugh. The BIL’s judging the new husband as if they were really the elder brothers was so sweet and funny. They are the best and I am giggling as if in love (I am in love, in love with this drama that is!)

Finally we get LeShan’s arc! My favourite cute tigress will finally be at the focus! Can’t wait! You know I like her direct and open nature, she will not let any miscommunication, mistreatment, mistakes, missed opportunities, and any other mis pass. I love her!

It is a plot hole, but maybe he tolerated her until she hurt his pride at the party. Plus, I think she never really rebelled until the party. So at its core, this conflict is just a very rich man being cranky over being told ‘no’.
