There are so many people who are in team Tushan Jing. He brings such emotional depth to the role. How can anyone…
Tushan Jing absolutely has emotional depth his conflict between love, duty, and survival is what makes him real.
He didn’t just stand still he made choices under brutal constraints, including giving up status for Xiaoyao and nearly dying for her.
And yes, they did date. He wasnt in love with FFYY it was an arrange marriage but she already was in love with other person. They lived like a couple in Qingshui Town calling each other husband/wife, making promises, risking everything. Just because he was stuck in a forced engagement doesn’t erase that.
It wasn't that Jing didn’t act it’s that his world punished him for doing so. He wasn't a man who can do whatever he want. Human worls are like this. If I can do whatever u want then life was was easygoing for everyone. No one has to bear sadness responsibility .He was trapped by clan politics, not apathy. If anything, he fought harder than anyone without power.
As for FFYY, he didn’t abuse her he was emotionally unavailable, yes, but respectful. She was the one manipulating and cheating.
Jing didn’t care only for reputation he cared deeply for Xioyao and risked it all for her, especially at the end. The novel and drama both show this clearly.
You can dislike him, but calling him shallow or selfish ignores everything he endured and sacrificed.
Honestly, Tushan Jing (Deng Wei) deserve the love. He’s the quiet strength, Tushàn Jing is gentle calm kind…
Jing didn’t lack virtue he was trapped in a political marriage and still ran away, gave up everything, and risked death just to be with XY. That’s not weakness that’s loyalty in a rigid, oppressive system. His engagement to FFYY wasn’t his choice, he wasn't committed with her ,he did neither loved her or like her it was his gm choice not his and breaking it wasn’t simple. He literally got imprisoned and tortured for it. and there was not any child you're claiming Jings son you haven't watched it properly or don't understand it was Tushan hous child his nephew.
He never manipulated Xiaoyao. In fact, he constantly protected her and backed off when she needed space. He loved her quietly, not possessively. And yes, he admitted he was selfish but he acted selflessly every time, even when it hurt him. That’s emotional maturity, not hypocrisy.
They didn’t give Jing the stink eye because he was morally wrong they did it because he was politically inconvenient. CX and the Emperor were navigating power and marriage alliances. Jing being with Xiaoyao disrupted their plans. This was never about virtue but control. Jing was seen as a threat, not a sinner
Saying he gave up is unfair he endured betrayal, loss, and still chose love over bitterness. He rebuilt himself not out of greed, but to be someone who could stand by Xiaoyao side in a world that only values power. Unlike Xiangliiu, who pushed Xioyao away and constantly hurt her for so called he4 good, Jing stayed, waited, and never stopped believing in her. He was her choice not like you're saying that he only pursued her.
I am not saying xianglius love or never understood Xianglius love In the whole drama he seem like always running before her and he like he4 or maybe loved her but at last they seem like friend to me. Every one has own views . Also, not forget Xiangliiu literally poisoned, imprisoned, and emotionally tortured Xioyao while refusing to give her a future. If Jing is selfish, what exactly was Xiangliu? If Xiangliu had a choice he'd also do what Jing did. Every one is in love see the world differently.
Jing wasn’t perfect, but he loved her in a way that was patient, respectful, and constant. That’s real strength.
Every person have own views some like toxicity some like simplicity. if liking simplicity like a human being and it's call attacking than I m not in it. i respect ever character as they are it's just I m fan of Ye Shiqi and Tushan Jing.
Honestly, Tushan Jing (Deng Wei) deserve the love. He’s the quiet strength, Tushàn Jing is gentle calm kind…
Tushan Jing is one of the most misunderstood characters in the drama, not because he lacks depth or virtue, but because his strength isn’t loud, flashy, or soaked in bravado. His story isn’t about domination or power it’s about quiet resilience, unwavering loyalty, and the deeply human struggle of self-worth in the face of betrayal and loss.
It’s easy to admire a character who fights with swords and roars with courage like xiangliu. But Jing’s strength lies in something far more difficult endurance. He lost everything: his identity family’s recognition, security, even the woman he loved and yet, he never betrayed who he was. He didn’t grow bitter or hateful. Instead, he tried to build himself back up with what little he had left, while continuing to love Xiao Yao selflessly. That’s not weakness. That’s profound emotional courage.
People say Jing is surface, but that’s projection. What’s ironic is that those calling him shallow often miss how deeply internal his struggle is. He may have had the appearance of a fairy tale prince, but his journey was about reclaiming his worth not through status or power, but through love and inner strength. Even after being stripped of everything, ,,,,,,he still tried to be there for Xiao Yao in every way he could.
Not every character needs to dominate the screen or win every argument to be admirable. Jing represents a different kind of love the kind that stays, that listens, that sacrifices without needing recognition. And if some viewers can’t respect that, maybe it's not Jing who lacks depth but their understanding of what real strengthj and love can look lik
Jing does have a large fanbase, mostly from the drama, I think. We all say Jing, but often what we really mean…
It wasn't just convenience or a dream of a husband as some claim. What Xiaoyao and Jing shared was real, raw, and deeply rooted in years of companionship, shared trauma, and silent yearning. It was the kind of love built not on grand gestures, but on trust, protection, and understanding without words.
Xiaoyao didn’t just fall for Jing — she chose him, time and time again, despite knowing his flaws. She risked her heart, waited in hope, and even endured heartbreak not because she was chasing a fantasy, but because she loved him for who he truly was. And Jing? He loved her too, but was caught between duty and his own emotional restraint. Together they share love forged in fire not fantasy!!!!
If that’s not love, then what is? Tushan Jing was 2nd male lead not third!!!!! It's okay Xl was her soulmate but she didn't end up witth him. her journey, romance, rest of life was with Jing so I think at last he's the main lead for her( not for the author , production team) Dismiss them and you miss the most human story of all.
There are so many people who are in team Tushan Jing. He brings such emotional depth to the role. How can anyone…
It's important to differentiate between a character's limitations set by the script and the actor's performance. Jing is a complex and layered character navigating personal and societal conflicts a trait that reflects emotional depth, not the lack of it.
To say Jing can't bring emotional depth is unfair and dismissive of the nuance shown in his internal struggles, especially when torn between duty and love. If anything, Jing is not just by the writing, but through the actor’s performance.
As for his relationship with XY in the first season, it's not about sneaking around or reducing XY to the other woman. It's about two people trying to find love in a system that constantly works against them. Jing didn’t choose his circumstances; he tried to navigate them without hurting people around him and yes, he made mistakes. That’s what makes him human, not unworthy.
If Deng Wei 's appeal is subjective, so is criticism. Many fans see Jing as a beautifully tragic character deeply emotional, restrained, and incredibly compelling.
I’m almost done season 1 and can’t understand how anyone can be team Tushan Jing.. she doesn’t love him…
There are so many people who are in team Tushan Jing. He brings such emotional depth to the role. How can anyone not root for him.
After getting many objections that she didn't loved Tushan Jing but I don't understand in the novel or drama they dated each other they waited for each other what was this! Ah xiaoyao...
But one thing I understand life is not a fairy tale sometime people meet right person in wrong time ! So many people in this world don't get the person they wish for but they get at least a person who is gentle kind loyal to him/ her. Its xiaoyaos fate she get Tushan Jing who always cared for her who will stay with her in her all lifetime.
Literally came here for Deng Wei from Love from the Divine Tree but I think I’m starting to fall for Xiang Lu…
Honestly, Tushan Jing (Deng Wei) deserve the love. He’s the quiet strength, Tushàn Jing is gentle calm kind loyal and always putting Xiao yao first , always protecting her, even at the cost of his own freedom and happiness. He endured so much pain in silence, whether it was the torment from his family or being used by anyone he was loving her selflessly.
Anyone can root for him That kind of devotion? Rare. !!!! 🥹💔 Deng Wei brought so much subtle emotion and sincerity to the role it’s impossible not to respect and admire Tushan Jing.
I’ve been waiting so long for Take Me Where the Cloud Rise! Just seeing Deng Wei in costume already gives me chills, he fits these roles so perfectly. Hoping it airs soon!
Been waiting forever for this drama! Deng Wei looks amazing as always. Can’t wait for the release!
This is a drama based from the japanese manga then adapt to anime, Tales of Saiunkoku. Deng Wei plays the antagonist…
I hope this time he will not experience bullying like when he played Tushan Jing.. he put his heart into Tushan Jing but some people criticize him in online .
I hope he get everything he deserve. He's such a hardworking and deserving man. He deserve appreciation ,love .
Love of the Divine Tree was such a touching and beautifully made drama. The story was emotional and kept me hooked from start to finish.
Deng Wei's acting was absolutely amazing so genuine and heartfelt. He really brought his character to life and made every scene memorable. You could truly feel the emotions through his performance. Julia Xiang also did amazing acting.
Such a wonderful drama with incredible acting all around!
Does this drama have a happy ending?? Pls spoil no
It’s a beautifully crafted story with deep emotions, strong characters, and unforgettable moments. It’s not your typical happy ending, but the journey is powerful and absolutely worth watching.
Xiaoyaos journey is filled with pain, growth, and tough choices. Tushan Jing is gentle and loyal.
Cang Xuan is ambitious and conflicted, Xiang Liu is fierce but selfless, Feng Long is steady and sincere, and Ah Nian adds innocence and complexity. Each character leaves a deep mark.
Same. I realized, its a depthful story. Author foreshadowed from start as Xiaoyao, XiangLiu & Cangxuan are hardworking,…
I get why many are drawn to Xiangliu he is powerful, and mysterious but not ignore the darker sides of his character. He constantly pushed JiaoYao away emotionally, made choices that hurt her, and was never truly available to give her the peace she deserved. That kind of love, while passionate, can be incredibly toxic in real life. I understand the shift in opinions toward XiangLiu and others, but I still have a soft spot for Tushan Jing. His quiet strength, loyalty, and gentle nature offer a different kind of value. Not every character has to be outwardly powerful to be meaningful.
Jing’s struggles with insecurity and loss actually make him more human and relatable. He represents a kind of love that is patient, enduring, and sincer something that shouldn’t be overlooked just because he isn’t the strongest or most dramatic character. Growth doesn’t always look like power it can also look like resilience and kindness.
Om the other hand Tushan Jing, may not be the flashiest or strongest, but he loved Jiao Yao with patience, sincerity, and devotion. He never played mind games or pushed her into pain to prove a point. His struggles make him real ,he faltered, but he never stopped trying. Theres beauty in quiet, loyal love too. Sometimes, the one who stays through the storm is more deserving than the one who is the storm.
Yearning in this drama is on next level. Once Xiaoyao said that only 2 types of person can get her, 1st who is…
Tushan Jing is the person who represents the quiet tragedy of almost. He’s gentle kind but also passivity and regret his love is sinceretoward Jiaoyao, but it’s shadowed by indecision, burdens of duty, and a lack of boldness when it mattered most.
in this drama Jing was never everything nor nothinh he was the in between that fate cruelly placed in Jiaoyao’s path. Someone who might have given her peace, who have loved her. His tragedy lies not only in failing her but in failing himself, losing his identity, family, and even the chance for redemption as he followed her, clinging to a dream already lost.
In the world of Lost You Forever, Jing is the quiet echo of love too soft to survive the noise of destiny.
He didn’t just stand still he made choices under brutal constraints, including giving up status for Xiaoyao and nearly dying for her.
And yes, they did date. He wasnt in love with FFYY it was an arrange marriage but she already was in love with other person.
