And yes, they did date. He wasnt in love with FFYY it was an arrange marriage but she already was in love with other person. They lived like a couple in Qingshui Town calling each other husband/wife, making promises, risking everything. Just because he was stuck in a forced engagement doesn’t erase that.
It wasn't that Jing didn’t act it’s that his world punished him for doing so. He wasn't a man who can do whatever he want. Human worls are like this. If I can do whatever u want then life was was easygoing for everyone. No one has to bear sadness responsibility .He was trapped by clan politics, not apathy.
