This was such a refreshing watch. It takes a very familiar trope, the cold man and the kind woman who slowly melts his heart, but keeps everything surprisingly straightforward without unnecessary comedy, overdramatic twists, or forced misunderstandings. I especially loved that they didn't use the usual fake-dating-to-fool-grandpa setup. They genuinely agreed to date for six months, and actually treated the relationship seriously.

The biggest highlight for me was the relationship itself. Their chemistry felt natural, and I absolutely loved how openly they communicated with each other. Every important feeling, misunderstanding, and decision was actually talked through, even during the breakup arc, which was handled so maturely. There was no unnecessary noble idiocy or endless miscommunication, and that alone was incredibly satisfying. Their relationship progressed quite quickly, but somehow it still felt believable because we actually got to see them become a couple and build a life together.

I also loved the female lead. She was kind and warm but never a pushover. Her boundaries were clear, her "no" actually meant no, and she never allowed the people around her to simply walk all over her. Watching her stand up for herself again and again was honestly one of my favourite parts. The male lead also surprised me because he felt like an actual working CEO rather than the usual drama CEO who spends all day staring out windows. His phone seemed to ring constantly, but I loved how his professional side and his softer side both felt believable.

Another thing I really appreciated was how focused the drama was on the main couple. Almost every scene felt like it had a purpose, and the story didn't need unnecessary side plots just to fill the runtime. I especially loved that we actually got to see their lives after marriage. That is something dramas often skip, so watching them continue building their relationship after getting married was incredibly satisfying. By the end, I genuinely felt like these characters had enough time together that I could imagine them staying together for the rest of their lives.

The drama was also lighthearted without being silly, and even the sadder parts never felt unnecessarily dramatic. The conflicts were understandable, so I never found myself getting angry at the characters for behaving stupidly just to create drama. It's been a while since I finished a drama this quickly, and I can see why the rewatch value is so high. It's simply cute, comforting, romantic and easy to binge.

And I have to mention the wardrobe because I absolutely loved it. The colours were so beautiful and vibrant, and it honestly made me miss the era when dramas weren't afraid of colour. The reds in the SML's store, the blues, greens, greys, reds and yellows in the leads' outfits, especially the ML's wardrobe, added so much charm to the drama.

Overall, this is exactly the kind of romance I enjoy when I want something uncomplicated but still satisfying. If you like couples who communicate, stay together through problems, genuinely love and support each other, and actually get to enjoy their relationship after getting together, I think you'll have a great time with Something About 1 Percent. It's sweet, funny, sincere and surprisingly refreshing.
