But it seemed a bit rushed, she Just broke up with her bf, I wasn't expecting such positive response from her.
It’s been months since the break up. YZM and MCH have been in touch a lot over those months, they even travelled together which she’s never done with her previous bf.
ZhiMing and Huan Huan in Ep 17 were so cute! I love their chemistry and how easily they keep up with each other be it when teasing or talking business ideas. Communication is very important for a couple, they seem to be going in the right direction!
The reason why the mother thinks it’s okay to behave that way aside from their culture is also the family. They keep enabling her, saying “it’s not your fault”, “Huan will come back later after she calls down” etc etc. Somebody like her mother will never wake up to reality if they are not directly told that they are overstepping big time!
Episode 14 was so good! I loved the Huan & Zhi Ming duo performance. The mistress is shameless, but Mr Xin and his family really take the cake, particularly the daughter. What a rotten family.
Plot is a mess… this drama shouldn’t have been so long and drawn out. Good lessons in it, but goodness mine was this drama all over the place. Actors had good chemistry, so there’s that at least
you got too much brainwashed by west mainstream media. it's you who lives in the Truman Show. you need to visit…
Have you ever lived in a communist country? Do you know the amount of blood shed at the expense of completely innocent people for the sake of communism? In China, 60+ million were killed, in USSR also tens of millions. Brainwashed? More like you are completely ignorant of history.
Quite enjoyed it! The two Male Leads pretty much carried the whole drama, not that the other actors didn’t go a good job, but their chemistry and play of each other was what made me stick with this drama.
The SFL had more flavour than the FL, and her chemistry with A’Jiang was so on point, but I still enjoyed the FL and ML’s chemistry. I do wish we had spicier scenes between the two though…
I must’ve watched loads of similar plot dramas or read many such novels, because I pretty much guessed every villain in every crime they uncovered 😅😅
"1 second" is a fantasy-action webtoon. "romance" isn't the primary focus
Usually even if the webtoon doesn’t have romance as its primary focus, the drama will end up including more romance elements anyway, so I’m hoping for a good FL, who won’t take away from the story but add to it.
A man should always protect his family, but he should also protect his [future] wife, once he chooses to have one.
If your family is mistreating your wife, you are most certainly aware of it, it’s not a one off thing either, you either firmly stand up for her or you keep your silence and go aside, as you’re obviously incapable of doing the most basic thing for the one you chose as your partner.
Most important thing in a partner is to have his/her support in everything. If he crumbles in front of his family, or brushes away their absolutely horrendous behaviour, how can a woman rely on him?! Her mum isn’t a gift either, but goodness knows she at least doesn’t treat people with hypocrisy and in a two-faced manner like his family have done over and over.
Jia Liang is a horrible partner for any woman, not just Huan.
Any person who doesn’t stand by you 100% is not a person worth marrying. Marriage is full of trials as is anything of worth in life. If the both of you are not 100% on board, you will not be able to pass these trials.
That’s great, LJS’s dramas are usually really good and a treat to watch. While You Were Sleeping had a similar concept to this one and I love that drama so much! I keep rewatching it. Hope this one will be just as good. Fingers crossed for an FL that can act on his level and have good chemistry with him 👍
I’m generally not somebody who roots for the second lead, it’s not my fault the Male Lead had almost no presence, his character boring and the actor’s acting not up to par.
If you like mediocre things, that’s your business, but don’t lower other people to your level.
I read the novel, so I was pretty excited for the drama adaptation. However, I thought the drama to be not as good as the novel. It’s got quite a few good points, but I would say the novel felt a bit more exciting. Some of the unnecessary melodrama was also missing from the written story.
The chemistry between the lead actors is amazing though.
P.S. In the novel, Su Jin /Jishi does her best to terminate her contact with Mu Xiulun rather than extend it. He goes after her without the contract between them. Way better premise in my opinion. In fact, their relationship wasn’t known to the public, way way more interesting that way.
People who say that the FL’s condition isn’t actually depression have no idea what they’re talking about. Burnout will most definitely lead to depression and anxiety if left unchecked, which she did.
My cousin is a psychiatrist and she said that depression comes in many shapes or forms, however a good specialist would try to help their patient through therapy, provide the patient with the necessary tools to deal with their depression and anxiety triggers. She wouldn’t prescribe medication straight away without first doing some blood tests and assessing how the patient responds to therapy. Of course that also depends on the severity of the patient’s condition.
Anyway, my mother in law, who coincidentally is a doctor paediatrician, also got into depression and anxiety from severe burn out. She had to take medication too, but ultimately had to retire a bit early; she’d left her mental health get to the point where simply resting was no longer enough.
Don’t neglect your mental health just because the symptoms aren’t as obvious as a broken wrist or gaping wound. It’s just as critical that you treat it asap.
