Ji Hyuk in the webtoon was all angles and straight cut lines. This guy is as soft looking as they come… smh

I’ve finally finished watching it. I really loved the drama. I found almost all of the characters endearing and their journeys meaningful and relatable. I definitely recommend it. Granny Xie is my most favourite character, she’s awesome ❤️

At ep 16, he’s absolutely in love with her. Her understanding and support of his aspirations is what any man would want from his partner. I think he wouldn’t be able to forget a woman like her… ever. Even I would fall for her were I in his shoes 👍👍

Modern drama My little happiness. Insane kissing scenes. Period Drama The Legends with Bai Lu and Xu Kai, they had some crazy kisses in that one (they did date though). Ah, Falling into your smile and You are my Gloey had crazy kisses too.

His acting is no joke

The 34th episode followed the book to a T, with a tiny exception. What Shuyi wrote to Shan Shan about Shi Yan not having his way with her. It was a bit naughtier and incendiary in the novel. Otherwise, it’s perfect. Ah, of course that annoying extra guy didn’t exist in the novel, but it’s not that big a deal in this ep.

I’m at ep 11. The way he looks at her… what falling in love, if he’s not in love with her already, I’m a prima ballerina.

So far, it’s a masterpiece. I pretty much watched every single second of it, no skipping because the drama is so heart warming and full of wisdom.

I also moved from London to the countryside and feel blessed every day that I took that decision. This series is exactly my cup of tea ❤️

I have just finished rewatching the drama. It really reminded me of Story of MingLan. It certainly has the same type of vibe: the FL shows full support towards the ML, and his love for her makes him strive for greatness (though they were already quite capable and kind, but kind of lazy/uncaring?). Then they fall in love and together they help the royal family bring peace to the country.

I already felt that the ML and FL had an amazing chemistry, but now that I know they’re dating irl, it all makes sense. I hope BJT & SY are happy together and will have many more joint dramas. Watching them is such a treat.
