I have just finished rewatching the drama. It really reminded me of Story of MingLan. It certainly has the same type of vibe: the FL shows full support towards the ML, and his love for her makes him strive for greatness (though they were already quite capable and kind, but kind of lazy/uncaring?). Then they fall in love and together they help the royal family bring peace to the country.

I already felt that the ML and FL had an amazing chemistry, but now that I know they’re dating irl, it all makes sense. I hope BJT & SY are happy together and will have many more joint dramas. Watching them is such a treat.

They truly managed to butcher a good novel plot. Why don’t they just stick to the OG story?! It’s been done many times, you follow the story, the fans are happy. You add some crappy narratives into a beloved novel and you get a rubbish product and very disgruntled viewers.

True, but that’s unfortunately how the FL looked in the manhwa. I think she put on the weight back, if they follow the manhwa plot.

Loved the latest episode. It answered so very many questions I had regarding Han Ri Ta and Do Ha’s relationship progression. I have a feeling that Do Ha’s death had little to do with revenge. I think Do Ha remained on Earth due to his promise. He says those exact same words as he looks at his dead body.

Why can’t directors just stick to the original story?! It’s obviously good enough if so many people liked it. We don’t need more dog blood drama 🤦‍♀️

The characters’ maturity was shown through how they handled the break up, which took almost no time at all, because the ML and FL truly cared for each other, and Shi Yan couldn’t bear to not look after Shu Yi. Why do they have to muddle the waters like this… 🤬

The original is way better. Their relationship doesn’t seem half as childish as it appears in the drama /sigh

Shu Yi in the book wasn’t as tactless in her relationship with Shi Yan. I’m still not sold on this new ML being added into the plot. Why make things complicated? Sometimes less is more.
