Did I write that what she was doing was right? I didn’t, I said she should have come clean with her friend from the get go.

I know that people said it is okay because Yichen is now a single man, but Wei Qiuzhi did not even wait a second…
If she fell in love with him, that’s fine, she can’t control her heart, but she can control her own actions. She should tell Ji Xing the truth and ensure that what she’s doing won’t hurt her best friend. That’s what people in good conscience would do.

Also did I interpret correctly in episode 17? XYX appears to have a girlfriend that he was texting in the bathroom…
There’s absolutely no way the guy is two timing her. No man would do as much for a woman unless he was genuine.

Can someone explain your interpretation of what I think is a psychological power play on Zeng Di in ep.15 the…
He’s telling her, if she schemes against him, she’ll pay for it. If she plays by the rules, she won’t be mistreated. She can’t cross lines. The fish was a warning that he knows her really well, and is well aware of what she’s capable of.

Ji Xing is way too soft on her employees. Being friendly is great, but as Han Ting said, it erodes authority and then you get employees who don’t follow established safety processes (which are there for good reason). The boss shouldn’t be a tyrant, but neither should he/she be a friend. You’re there to be a leader, so lead.

This drama was absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to actually watch it. I’m truly impressed!

While the ML & FL had nice chemistry, I actually got really into snooker (particularly the competitions where Lin Yiyang & others faced interesting challenges). Another aspect of this drama that I truly enjoyed was the brotherhood and sportsmanship shown by Meng Xiaodong, Jiang Yang, & Lin Yiyang. Their relationship was truly worth admiring.

A lot can be said by one episode, particularly the last one. I watched it, and this drama is definitely not my cup of tea. Liu Yifei certainly looked pretty in it though…

I'm on episode 10.. but I got to stop awhile and write here! I love the plot, the premise of the whole story but…
The ML is fat?! Lmao, how? Btw, they’re both 36

Watched it all in a very short amount of time, though inhaled would be more appropriate. This drama was great.

Wei Xie was obviously in love with her in both lives: in the first one, he was super sick and had a very twisted way of showing it, whereas in the second one, having a very good understanding of each other, their relationship was much healthier (though his possessiveness, stemming from huge trauma and abandonment issues, wasn’t exactly healthy).

Obviously by the end, his ptsd is dealt with because of her and his own efforts to overcome it, so that can only add to how right they were for each other. Her commitment issues, stemming from fear of making incorrect choices, had been resolved as well, and I think it’s only because of their great love and understanding of each other.

Zhang Zhe would’ve never been right for her. He was her standard of perfection, but one she could never attain and would always fear she’d stain it. She put him on a pedestal. I even doubt she was actually in love with him at all; it was more like a mix of admiration for his abilities and worship of his character. Unlike Xie Wei, ZZ would’ve never been able to sacrifice the whole world for her. That would’ve always fed her own commitment issues and brought disaster upon them.

Wan Lin, I’m certain, could have sacrificed the world for her in the first life, where he’d been betrayed and greatly wounded, but in the second life - much less likely. He was a good guy, but ultimately not suitable for her either.

I really liked the ending.

It’s been a while since I have ugly cried as much as I did for a drama, yet the last three eps had me bawling for Zhong Xi Wu’s heartbreak. I was so happy when she chose to go back to the one truly waiting for her. It would’ve been great if we got at least one kiss from them, but their chemistry was so good, I can’t complain too much.

Loved the drama, but I don’t know if my heart could take rewatching it a second time.

What was inside that particular bottle by Jiuyue, I wonder?
Seduction potion, they mentioned it in the beginning of the drama I think

Well said. The pain from the loss of a child cannot be described, I’d know, but that doesn’t give me or Wanning a green card to behave like a psychopath and take peoples’ lives left, right, and centre.

Absolutely addictive. I couldn’t stop watching it. Well acted, executed, and directed. I truly enjoyed it. Xiao Heng & Jiang Li had incredible chemistry, and the acting of the both of them + Wanning was hands down the best.

The ML chosen for Xiao Heng/Duke Su definitely understood the assignment. His eyes reminded me of an ancient fox, all knowing, playful but predatory. Perfect casting. His masculine charm shone through & through.
On Blossoms in Adversity Jun 14, 2024
I liked the drama, and while the FL was a bit too perfect, the actress did her best to show her as more human and less of a Mary Sue. It would’ve been better if they had given her a bit more of a character development and not made her pretty much infallible. Not that she hadn’t learnt certain things at all, but let’s be honest, they weren’t major flaws. Even her impulsiveness was shown as being righteous, and through its consequences - ultimately a good thing.

The ML’s growth was quite good, but certain actions of his (like taking several royal family members into the Hua family & not even telling his sister about their family’s situation) are on the questionable side.

They spent more time in some baby bathing ritual while glossing over deaths of family members they dislike. WTH…
