Started watching this today, from the very first 5 minutes I can say that it’s rather unrealistic, the FL’s legs are nowhere near those of a speed skater. They could’ve at least tried to make it look like she’s got some muscles /sigh
Liked it more than I thought I would. I did skip through some less important scenes, but the main CP & friends interactions are quite enjoyable to watch.
The ML was quite handsy, but the FL seemed more excited than anything else. I saw some people saying he was too much, but everybody’s “too much” line is different.
Personally, I find it exciting too. I’ve been married for a while and I get super happy whenever my husband squishes me to his chest or carries me around. Of course if somebody else is personally not okay with it, they should inform their partners. However, just because one person wouldn’t like it, it doesn’t mean others wouldn’t like it as well. Cheers!
Just from the opening MV I am amazed by the chemistry. I think it’s the best CP I’ve seen so far with Zhao…
Finished the drama. I agree with others that the last arc with the brother was entirely unnecessary, but I liked the ending well enough. The chemistry was awesome between the ML and FL till the end. Many said that he was possessive, whereas I saw her as being very immature at times instead (like not trusting him with her bad news not just the good ones, or keeping information from him, that’s a big no no in any relationship). Otherwise, they’re well suited and the drama was enjoyable because of them.

5 eps in and I love this drama to bits. The main couple have insane chemistry. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach is such a good trope especially because it’s true. That’s how I got my husband too hehe! I must add, this drama is making me really hungry at 1am…
Just from the opening MV I am amazed by the chemistry. I think it’s the best CP I’ve seen so far with Zhao Lusi, only exception might be her The Long Ballad pairing with Hao Dou.
I really wanted to like this drama because of the main characters, but unfortunately I couldn’t continue watching it… the plot holes and poor dialogue really ruined it for me. I had to give up 15 eps in, then just watched the ending and even that was… sigh.
The plot got unnecessarily embellished with a billion details that really made the drama draggy. So many changes in the narrative direction have left me confused as to what the producers truly wanted to achieve. The idea was interesting but they constantly stumbled trying to deliver it. I can’t say I’m crazy about the main couple, but the chemistry was ok-ish, I’ve seen much better. The last plot arc was really strange…
I loved Legend of Fei, and perhaps it’s not a popular opinion but actually enjoyed the chemistry between LiYing & YiBo, as well as the cute brat and country bumpkin. It was a fun drama, but the book was better plot-wise. Just like with General & I or Ashes of Love or The Long Ballad. The original book/manhua are waaaay better, but I can still enjoy the drama and have rewatched them many times (except for TLB which is still airing).
They portrayed Lord Wei even better than in the manhua! His friendship with Ashina Sun and our ChangGe is even better than I would’ve expected. So good! I hope they meet again as friends <3
Guys, in the manhua, where does the plot stop? which arc?
Li ChangGe finds her family on her mum’s side, who are Uighur Royalty basically. She’s the Elteber’s niece and helps create a trap for the Eastern Turks during Uighur/Turks military clashes. Ashina thankfully wants to break away from the Khan (after finding out he’s full Khitan and his parents, the previous Khitan tribe leaders, had a very sad ending), and fakes his death making a secret deal with the Elteber.
LCG and AS mistakenly believe the other’s in danger, put a great romantic show in front of her uncle, Ashina says he’ll marry her once he’s settled his people (really annoying her uncle in the process). By very unfortunate happenstance, the Tang envoy see her in the Uighur tribe, when they are there to broker a peace treaty (or something like that) and she agrees to return to Chang’An with them as an Uighur Princess guest/political hostage. That’s the last chapter so far.
