Why do the antis have so much time on their hands to do such bullshits? Like Really? Why not go watch something…
I completely agree, but given the number of liuliangs in the drama, I’m actually not surprised that it attracted so many anti-fans. In China, they seem to be especially crazy.
No, in the manhua, they fall in love quite slowly and they “confess” in a rather non-orthodox way. Only in…
Oh, 100% a different actor would’ve been needed for the Ashina Sun of the manhua. And I agree that if poorly executed, the manhua plot wouldn’t be successful. It’s just a pity we don’t see something so important in the journey of our couple, such as getting to know each other at their worst and striving to be better together.
Just saw on Twitter that allegedly some people are being asked by antis via DMs to change their Douban reviews from good to bad for money. Not sure if this entirely true, but wow... how low can you go?
CG got really ill due to constant exhaustion and cold while working to best the Ashina clan. When she walked barefoot…
Yeah, I agree that her illness was my biggest worry regarding an HEA for the manhua. In a way, her pushing forward despite her illness always struck me as something she does because of her strong and unyielding character. They seem to have shown this in the drama using other means, so it’s okay.
True, we don’t know what plot lines they’ll integrate and how, so we might yet see them protecting each other.
I agree, they showed him as somebody capable of sacrificing his personal and tribal gains for her, it’s just weird seeing him like this in juxtaposition to his initial character in the manhua haha.

Yeah, I wish they stuck to the manhua plot, it all makes much more sense in there. His character transformation is the most amazing among all tbh, from an apparently cruel person to somebody ready to do anything for his people and for her. Truly a pity
I love this drama, and the actors are amazing, but am I the only one not getting the CP feels??? Like what I mean…
No, in the manhua, they fall in love quite slowly and they “confess” in a rather non-orthodox way. Only in chapter 59, did Ashina openly discuss his wish to marry her. I’m also a bit surprised by the pace of the drama.
In my opinion, the visuals of Chang Ge walking barefoot through the snow towards Ashina was much more striking,…
CG got really ill due to constant exhaustion and cold while working to best the Ashina clan. When she walked barefoot through the snow for the surrender of Shou Province, the cold seeped deep into her body and she was ill for a long time. It’s a huge part of the manhua plot. I guess the drama creators want to avoid it. Her illness was the one thing Ashina openly admitted to regretting. I felt it was a very important point in his character growth. Since then he started treating her as if she were made of jade, very sweet.
In the manhua, they confronted each other on the battlefield before they knew each other. Afterwards, them being enemies was something they tried to avoid at all costs. He could’ve never tried to hurt her, and when he almost got hurt due to her schemes, she cried so much, apologising to him over and over.
I feel like the plot the drama follows doesn’t depict their desperation to not hurt each other as well as the manhua.
In my opinion, the visuals of Chang Ge walking barefoot through the snow towards Ashina was much more striking, wish they had included that in the drama.
I cried for Governor Gong Sun when reading the manhua, cried for him now watching the drama. Such an upstanding leader, ready to sacrifice his own life for the good of his people. Unfortunately, there aren’t many people like him, especially nowadays. My heart...
~ this isn't really a spoiler but just in case ~A lot of people are saying that this might be a tragic ending,…
In the manhua, Ashina gets seriously injured, arrow to the chest and all, but he survives and then even tries to rescue Chang Ge, he’ll be fine. He’s a smart guy, got himself out of many tricky situations
Tsk tsk tsk! I thought my lil Wu Lei would have higher standards than going topless for the cameras... I had to…
Ashina Sun even has a topless scene bathing himself in a river in the manhua, along with quite a few other scenes. They had to incorporate at least some of it in the plot, haha.
The drama creators did add loads of extra scenes that don’t exist in the manhua. The manhua is quite fast paced, but it does slow down a bit when they’re in the grasslands.
