They portrayed Lord Wei even better than in the manhua! His friendship with Ashina Sun and our ChangGe is even better than I would’ve expected. So good! I hope they meet again as friends <3
Guys, in the manhua, where does the plot stop? which arc?
Li ChangGe finds her family on her mum’s side, who are Uighur Royalty basically. She’s the Elteber’s niece and helps create a trap for the Eastern Turks during Uighur/Turks military clashes. Ashina thankfully wants to break away from the Khan (after finding out he’s full Khitan and his parents, the previous Khitan tribe leaders, had a very sad ending), and fakes his death making a secret deal with the Elteber.
LCG and AS mistakenly believe the other’s in danger, put a great romantic show in front of her uncle, Ashina says he’ll marry her once he’s settled his people (really annoying her uncle in the process). By very unfortunate happenstance, the Tang envoy see her in the Uighur tribe, when they are there to broker a peace treaty (or something like that) and she agrees to return to Chang’An with them as an Uighur Princess guest/political hostage. That’s the last chapter so far.
yesss, l also love that scene so much. and how i respect mr Qin, he's so wise.
He’s indeed a very wise person, it is obvious that he’s seen much in his life. I think that Governor Gongsun and ChangGe are very lucky to have his loyalty.
They included the fight scene between Ashina and Mr Qin’s men! I’m so happy! I loved that scene in the manhua; it was the start of an awesome relationship based on deep respect between them.
Her character growth is clearer to see. It was a simple one. Changge's was a complex one. Deeper down the road.…
I think a big part of both the manhua and drama, is her realising that she’ll have to suffer defeats no matter how brilliant her plans and strategies are. Losing is very important in building character. Leyan’s journey is more direct because she was so weak initially and she wasn’t aware of her strengths so she couldn’t use them properly.

Yeah the drama adaptation makes ChangGe’s growth rather obscure. But you’re right, that is a priceless reward. Leyan is very brave to have gone through so many hardships.

P.S. I’m glad that I won’t have to cry for Mimi in this drama!
