The chemistry between the leads is what got me addicted to this drama. And the script is full of truths that can definitely be attributed to most celebrities, especially idols in China, Korea etc. Even fans in Western countries sometimes get too possessive of the celebrities they like.
Just because you pay for their content doesn’t mean you own them, just like an employer who pays your wages doesn’t own you.
I truly hope more people fully understand this and won’t bash their idols for having a life.
I loved the ML and FL. They stayed in character through the whole plot, there were no stupid misunderstandings and though sometimes the ML was super jealous, the FL always left him in no doubt of her unwavering love and devotion. It’s crazy how much the ML did for her, truly heart-warming. When the FL found the truth, she was so straightforward in her pursuit to return to him. I really like this type of characters.
The chemistry between the characters was great and most importantly I didn’t think of them sad Bai Lu and Xu Kai, but only Zhaoyao and Mo Qing. They truly immersed themselves into their roles. I was surprised how few of the characters got a happy ending, but in a way it felt more realistic so to say.
The ending of main couple was a bit confusing, but then I rewatched it and it became much clearer. The last scene is very cute between the two siblings <3
Despite the controversy surrounding it, the drama is rather enjoyable. Honestly speaking, if you don’t know much about the e-sports scene, you wouldn’t know whose real life experiences were used to write the novel and drama plot. As such, it doesn’t really take away from the enjoyment of the drama. I imagine if I were a huge esports fan, I might’ve thought differently.
The drama is quite sweet and the actors really suit their characters. The main leads have got great chemistry, the second couple is interesting as well. The plot isn’t too makjang and has a good flow. I wonder if their first kiss will be a proper one, or if it’ll be one of those “I was pushed onto you and our lips met” tropes.
The ending was perfection. It tied up everything in a very beautiful way that really warmed my heart. NDS and SDM were just perfect for each other and I’m so glad they were able to make so many friends despite initial misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and lies.
This drama portrayed how important it is to apologise and be able to work for a common goal when there’s passion and will to learn (and loads of talent).

P.S. My husband is also a software developer like the ML and they had so many things in common, it’s crazy. Even personality traits like one they’re stuck on something, they can’t rest until it’s solved, are exactly the same haha. I completely understand why she fell for NDS <3
If he does as well as he did in Triangle, it would definitely be enough to carry the drama (which is what he pretty much did for Triangle) even if the plot isn’t 100% solid. Fighting!
I love how that AI actually told HJP what I’ve been saying all along. If he keeps letting his fear guide him, he’ll lose the war! NDS, I’m still supporting you!
Ep 10. Finally people are starting to behave like adults. Proud of both NDS and HJP for finally speaking the truth. HJP though needs to actually apologise imo. He’s not very good at it, wasn’t as a kid either.
I found it really sweet that no matter how much NDS was hurting he still chose to make sure she was okay even if from a distance. Him running to change into that suit only to arrive at the playground to find her gone was so heartbreaking.
I believe in second chances, especially when mistakes were made out of love. I hope both NDS and HJP can repair the hurt they caused to the person they love.
I completely understand NDS’ s dream. Being successful career-wise isn’t always the end goal. I’m the same. Finding your life companion is much more meaningful to me, just like it is for NDS I guess. It’s amazing that his very first love is so life-defining.
Ep 9. One should always avoid lying, and if unavoidable, one should always strive to rectify the situation as soon as possible. SDM is actually much more understanding than other people would be, I think if she were told the truth she’d find it much easier to forgive than if she found out the lie on her own.
What NDS did for SDM’s grandma was so sweet!
HJP seems to sometimes retain that adolescence flaw of lashing out at people he cares about the most, when he feels cornered or hurt. I think he needs a lot of love and understanding, but he won’t be getting it by pushing people away or keeping them at a distance. At this point, getting professional assistance would help him to at least not push others away, so he could make meaningful relationships in his life.
That kiss scene without any music, but soft breaths and the wind billowing around them was so much more impactful. I was absolutely enthralled. I could’ve watched them kiss for hours because of it.

He’s protected her when needed, been that rock she could lean on whenever her own legs would weaken, took a leap of faith despite being scared and inexperienced, and he’s just so very thoughtful. The two competing on who could fix more stuff around the house was really cute. A guy having the ability to mend things is always a good thing in my book.

Hmmm, I think that you mistook my thoughts. I don’t think overconfidence is good, nor being lost at times a bad thing. I believe that determination is what keeps us going. We know that we want a better life so we think and try out different things, but we don’t give up on ourselves nor do we just keep postponing what we know we need to do out of fear.
My husband is only 3 months older than me, and in many ways he was very life-innocent, didn’t truly understand certain life-truths until we experienced them together and we helped each other overcome whatever issue we had. And his determination to become a good boyfriend and later on husband to me, despite never having been in a serious relationship before me, was what made me completely certain that he was the one for me. We lost our baby a week shy of reaching the first trimester this January, and despite never having taken care of somebody ill or depressed, nor seeing examples of it in his own family, he was by my side every single day, every moment when I needed him. This is determination. You want to be the rock for your family, and you learn.
It’s not confidence or aggressiveness, it’s being willing to try things out, and not backing down at the first stumble.

Ep 5. I’m crying because the FL’s grandma is an amazing person. Her heart is pure gold. I wish I could call my grandmas to tell them how much I love them, but it’s almost 2am where they live, can’t wake them up. Grandmas are the best <3
Update: Seeing ML struggle with himself to respond to her emotional and physical cues is so sweet to watch, since he’s absolutely new to love. I’m so glad that every time he struggles, he still finds the courage to do what his heart earns for. He reminds me of my brother. My little brother wanted to impress his prom date with his dancing, so I spent a whole evening with him dancing different styles so he’s get used to it (he’s never had a gf before), how cute is that?!
By the way, the second ML looks insanely alike XIA Junsu. I keep having to check if it’s not my fave Korean singer and musical actor haha

So I’m now at ep 4, and so far NDS has truly impressed me with his determination. A huge factor for any startup company to consider is risk taking. He’s not afraid to go for what he wants when it comes to his work, but also when it comes to the woman he likes. He boldly stated he liked her, he boldly chased after her (even literally chased down her bus to get on it because she took it).
One of the main reasons why I married my husband is exactly because he knew what his goal was and chased it with determination. After many failed dates with guys that either didn’t know what they wanted or didn’t have the guts to go for it both in life and romantically, you truly come to understand what a rare commodity determination in people is.
I’m very impressed with HJP when he was young, he worked hard and smart to go after his goals despite the circle of misery he was stuck in. However the older HJP is afraid of taking risks or admitting to himself truths that he wants to be in denial about. He’s already lost the first battle, the battle against his own fears. I must say he is indeed admirable for trying hard to repay a debt from his teenagehood but he’s also using this as an excuse. I truly hope he finds again his spirit of entrepreneurship or he’ll definitely lose the whole war to NDS, both professionally and in his love life.
I have one doubt the whole drama is the novel written by FL??..So in the novel she included body swapping??..Did…
No no, they get together later on. We only see the break up scene at the start and then together after she finished the book at the end. It’s a happy end :)
Plot went haywire, but the chemistry between the leads kept me watching it till the end. I actually think instead of a lot of the drama, they could’ve included more about the ML coming to exist in the real world.
Think about it, he’s got no valid identity, no job, no family, nothing. It would’ve been much more interesting to see them forge some kind of existence for him. Additionally, he had the brains and ambition to become a CEO. He’s obviously very bright, could’ve achieved crazy goals in reality as well I believe. Unfortunately, they hadn’t included any of this. Smh.
For me Untamed initially started as “WTH is going on, I’m so confused???” But less than 10 eps in, I was all “OMG WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO START WATCHING IT?!!!” Haha!
Eternal Love of Dream started off questioningly in my mind as I hadn’t watched Eternal Love, only the film version and read some of the novel. At first I wasn’t very enthralled, but some 15 episodes later, you couldn’t get me away from it if you tried. Lol
