I have just watched the trailer, and I’m already super hungry. I can’t imagine what watching the drama will be like. Royal Feast indeed! I hope for a happy ending!
They were trying to portray awkward people, but unfortunately they portrayed unrealistic people with awkward acting instead. Not all of the actors ofc, but it was enough to put me off.
Ok I don't get it.... Why would u stuck a catheter in the neck.... Do u pee there......? Some medical student…
I think you should look into what dialysis actually does. It’s meant to replace your kidneys’ function when they’re no longer working. Meaning it filters blood. Hence why a catheter needs to be put into a blood stream of a certain type.
P.S. Not a doctor, but I took biology on my baccalaureate and have plenty of surgeons in the family, you tend to pick up stuff from them.
Finished it! So Yu He was actually Consort Yan’s brother, both of them the children of the last Sui Emperor,…
High five to you! I generally dislike it when historical figures are portrayed as saints when clearly they aren’t. It’s an insult to both our intellect and history. He was a good emperor but obviously did some horrifying things. It’s possible for a person to be both good and bad.
Completely agreed on all of the choices made. I’d of course add my all time favourite novel “The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage”, though I do believe a drama is already in the works for that.
Sansheng is a rather short story but so beautiful! I re-read it every so often. She and the God of War are such a gorgeous couple.
But....North Korea is not like that, they have light And stuff like that.
With the fall of the Soviet Union and a slow awakening of the people. We started voting non-communist parties when I was in the middle school, and the situation is kind of improving I guess. But the corruption that took very firm roots during the soviet times is hard to eradicate.
But....North Korea is not like that, they have light And stuff like that.
Actually aside from the potential lack of an issue with electricity, there’s not much of a difference between North Korea and the soviet country in which I spent my childhood. The only thing they might be an issue is that their portrayal might be a bit outdated but that’s about it.
And if I were you I wouldn’t believe the North Korean info on their country, number one rule about communist parties is that they’re all liars and deceivers.

Or imagine my young mum with a baby me attached to her back waiting at 4-5 am to get milk from the shop. She was given coupons like everybody else to be used in the shop, but the supply was so miserable, that she had to wake up before dawn either during summer or winter, in order to queue for milk so I could survive, because her breast milk was just not enough. @isaatalla

Hmmm… living in a communist country is so much bigger than one’s worries about light. And North Korea is unfortunately still prisoner to the communist madness and cruelty. I don’t even know where to start explaining what it’s like.
Perhaps imagine that any word you say could be overheard and wrongly interpreted by any of your “comrades”, and that gets you and your whole family, sometimes even relatives and friends abducted from your home in the middle of the night to be either deported or killed.
This happened to a family with 8 sons living near my great-aunt’s house. She said overnight they just disappeared and the house was taken over by the government. It’s scary even talking about it.
Having read the novel, I’m very happy with the adaptation. It was super on point. Some are unhappy with the main actress/FL, but they don’t know that she’s portraying her character like for like.
As for the controversy surrounding the novel/drama, well I have very little knowledge of the real life e-sports scene, as such I have no idea which irl player the characters are supposedly imitating. The writer hasn’t used any irl names and could only use public knowledge facts from those irl players (and not their personal life info), so I don’t really see the issue.
Beauty Inside is such a masterpiece in showcasing the love of two people which is above physical aspects. That line: “How can I dare love you when I’m so messed up?” really broke my heart and made me tear up. I rewatch this drama every 4-5 months because it’s /that/ good.
A drama that I think should be added to this list in either the Love at First Sight or Unconditional Love is While You Were Sleeping. The FL & ML have such deep trust in each other and they fell in love pretty much at first sight. Can we have a Fated Love category for them? Haha
Under the Fated Love category, we should have (c-dramas included but I can’t not include them): - While You Were Sleeping - Story of Ming Lan - You Who Came From the Stars - Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms: Eternal Love - Ancient Love Poetry

For those saying he can’t act, are you blind or just pretending? He most definitely can act, so keep your ‘in denial’ opinions to yourself.

My all-time favourite OST from him is “The Time Is You” - Drama “Six Flying Dragons”. It’s got heart-wrenching feel to it.
