Hi PrettyCareye. Sorry for the late repky but I got caught up in an eddy of duties myself. I am going crazy and I need a break..maybe next week I can afford one finally. In the meantime I have deadlines to meet. Ohh thanl you for thise titles, I will keep an eye out for them as I do enjoy bollywood. I saw a film called English Vinglish some time ago. I enjoyed it very much. Oh and Wolf Children WAS lovely, I just loved the ambience.
You know, PrettyCarEye, funny thing..MAster's Sun was what pulled me back to dramas lol. I guess sometimes it;s the weak plotless cliched stories that somehow manage to do the magic. But donlt expect good storytelling from Hiong sisters. It;s just as lazy as ever in Master's sun, the characters act as the same sterotypes they used in older dramas. Nothing new, just in a different package. I did like the ghosts though. Everyone I talk to does seem to

Hi CS. Yes I found the ending satisfying to be honest. I thought it was quite effective, that they wiped them pout off screen like that, it pointed that people become history but feelings stay and linger. I liked that. At the moment I am too busy to watch bit I will watch something when I return. I will finish Arigatou Papa. How are you?

well I find they are mostly mindless. It;s not that I hate them. I hate how people behave in mmos and what sort of behaviours mmos foster.

Yup, episde 1 was to me a sign that this part is just milking the franchise. season 2 will not be better than season 1 for sure. there was quasi melodrama towards the endn, not sure I like where it;s going. Lunar I am glad you are safe and please keep safe, okay? I hope you don;t live anywhere near the affected areas. I am watching good life arigatou papa and some romcoms to kepe myself in a lighter mood.

see and hear the sounds and sights of their novels and stories through replicating speech patterns, describing sounds with great plasticity. The audiobook refers so much to this tradition. And apparently first such devices really go way back. When we hear we can let our imagination go in a different sense than when we read, but in boith cases I alwas think each of us is provoked to have our own cinematic vision of what happens in the story.

It's been a long road. Yes, I don't know but a lot of really great novels or beautiful novels are rated really poorly say on goodreads. I sometimes wonder whether we are really losing sensitivity to words on paper or is it just that we have bad experiences associated with some obligatory texts. But a lot of what is read today seems to be a little thrashy and fast-paced, some of the titles penned nowadays do remind me of neglgent dramas written for money and public applaud. It's funny you mention sound. Do you listen to audiobooks. There is this researcher who is investigating relationship between literature and sound and is currently working on a book called victorian Walkman. He says having an auiobook, listetning to a book is like someone would whisper it in your ear. It;s funny though, because I always think that writers like Conrad aspired to make us see and hear through

Actually, it's the other way round. I've been working for Conrad for my MA as well and frankly it's been long enough. I need to change topics for research. I like him, he was an author of peculiar background and a peculiar temperament as emerges in the writings of his family members, but that's not srorising given the corcumstances if his early and later life. Conrad read Hugo as a child, he was well-versed in French language in general. He read Hugo's Toilers of the Sea. I loved "Les Miserables: myself, though I hasven;t yet explored more of his works. It was such an expansive novel and I loved the chapter which offered detours to consider the then Paris and its life and some backstories. That's the same reason why I love "Moby dick": I find it quite encyclopedic in scope in a sense. I haven;t read in a long while but I was fascinated hy all the details and the digressive chapters.
