Hey Winnie. I saw on feeds that you finished Old Boy. what did you think of it? It's one of those that really provoked me to some thinking...but also one that was very difficult to watch, a bit like death note.

I never watch hbo so i'm unlikely to ever see the live version of it :D I will watch monster soon, but right now i needed a detour into fluffy shoujo romance. Variety is the spice of watching after all and somehow I am in the mood. Once I satisfy this craving I will watch Monster.

lol. now that's a change from the anime. how could they pull THAT off? so what's the point of mello and near if L wions over Light? You know I"ve been talking to someomne about death note, someoe who like me liked L and she thought L's death was meant to be a bluff to catch Light lol. Now I"m thinking that the movie creators may have worked off that premise. Maybe I;ll watch them after all. But judging from what you;re saying they turned the movie into typical hero-antihero movie, there won't be that same frustration-turning to throught-streak that I experienced with the anime. After all Light was winning in the anime for such a long while, outsmarting everyone.

I may watch it, though I REALLY don;t feel like it, because itazura na kiss case told me that actually watching drama from anime is not such a good idea. Except maybe for nodame czntabile. but in this case it;s only becaise i saw the drama first. Only the first arc? Meaning only L without Mello and Near?

Well I changed my mind about death note :) I concluded that this is precisely why this anime is so good: it;s very thought provoking. No dramas for me yet, I"m in a definite anime mood. Are you still watching HunterxHunter?

hiya Stranger :) How;s your week going? I've been having a bot of stressful days recently. This line of work likely isn't for me. Yes, I felt a string need to see his face somewhere LOL. I swear, he;s the most beautiful Korean man I've seen.

No. I will not watch the drama. As I've come to realise basing on itazura na kiss dramas from anime are actually very rarely any good. And it;s not I am beginning to like it. I like it. I hate Yagami, however. These two aren't mutually exclusive. I just needed to think this through. I hate the character so much, but the anime is good because of it. I don't want drama to spoil this. The anime is thought-provoking and characters are smart, even if I hate some of them.

Monster is next in line :) I"m really curious about it, I took a peek at the first episode. The character looks nice, but I feel the hospital director is going to be a problem, along with that fiancee. But I"m taking a detour into some light shoujo before I continue with Monster. :) I hope it's okay if I share my impressions when watching Monster :)

That's all right Lunar- I'm just happy to have people to share anime impressions with :D Doesn't matter when you reply, you reply if you want to and when you want and I"m always happy to read your insights. Your English is very clear. Well, I guess you could say I like to identify with characters. For that to happen I need to have a character who has a human streak, at least some amount of feeling. Or at least should be likeable. I never thought DN is a mess, just that the character is obnoxiously hateful but you're right it did make me somewhat more negative towards the plot, because it was foregrounding a character that would normally be the villain.
