hahaha. We'll see. But not any time soon. I am still sticking to anime. Having a good Thursday, Yeona?

Well that's still a different issue. Adapting books to film is never going to be unaminously successful since while reading we tend to project our own "films", so to speak. Ther vision of the film director may be vastly different from our own. Remaking or refreshing films is more problematic. Sometimes, it's not a bad idea. Like with You;ve got mail adapted from Shop Around the Corner, as long as the refreshment has its own flavour to it and can actually stand its own ground. But to be honest I think the best films do not require remakes becaise no matter how dated some concepts become, their message remains timeless.

Happy watching then. Yes, unfortunately, I do. I really don't like the idea. It won't lead anywhere good. It;s the same as with Sassy Girl. They are also going to make the remake of a moment to remember..apparently with...the cringeworthy actress, Katherine Heigl. Ridiculous. Remakes in geners are a bad idea. Even taking Gambit as an instance. I really liked the original version with young and dashing Michael Caine and charming Shirley MacLaine. The new version doesn;t have that. The remade the movie Sabrina from 1954 with Bogart and Hepburn and that one was also weak, if only becaise of Harrisson Ford and Greg Kiinear. Julie Ormond was nice as Sabrina, actually, but it just didn;t have the same charm as the original movie.

Same here. Near was kind of...fish out of water to me. Still, he was L's successor, except L didn't name him and they are all kind fo similar to each other in some way. I was also angry that Yagami was pretending to cry after him. What a hypocrite, though for a while it seemed like the two of the in other corcumstances would have made a great detective duet. Maybe in another wordline lol. So what are you planning to watch now?

well I only said that because Arang bored me out of my wits. But I'm willing to be open-minded and see if I can enjoy it. Right now I'm getting ready to watch Monster but while preparing for it I'm sort of watching random romance shuojo. I just watched kamisamia hajimemashita (which was kind of fine but something was missing. It was still kind of fun to watch ) and a short ova called Kyou, Koi wa hajimemasu, which was a bit like lovely complex except much more dramatic and far better animated. too bad it was so short, the animation was really something but it made me want to reach for the manga, actually. right now I;m still unsure whether I want to watch another shoujo or move on to Monster. I still have a number of josei to watch, including nana, but somehow I'm not in the mood yet.

Yes, I felt that he was terrified because it didn;t work on him and so he must accept the reality of what he did. In fact, for a while I was even lef to question that the previous hypnosis didn't work either, but then the daughter was under hyponsis too. I;m sure otherwise there would some hint of recognition, but 15 years in a hotel room could make one forget one had a life before and if I remeber correctly he was pronunced dead. It would have been better if L triumphed, not Near. But Yagami's ending was justified since he got outsmarted and run out of arrogant self-confidence. Frankly the most accessible eps were 17-24 where he forgot his memories, even if this had been his plan- very subversive, I gotta say. But even if he used the opportunity to fool L he didn't really remember it without the notebook so just for that short period of time he actually was innocent.

lol. I liked King2Hearts remember? :P Though k2h had a unique narrative so it;s probably a bad comparison. Though I was bored with arang and the magistrate, but I also liked My girlfriend is a Gumiho. I will give it a try. I feel Gu may be like a combination of MGIAG and Arang.

But I"m glad you are enjoying it :) Sounds like a promising drama I will try it, when it airs jopefully :D First I will try Gu Family Book. I have a feeling I may like it.

I think I identified with the detective MAtsuda the most because he expressed the same doubts and anxieties and emotions that I felt. I wasn't particularly disappointed with the ending. I somehiw felt relieved that finally someone outsmarted him and showed him that he is no god. The anime made me really shake inside, because Yagami was just very difficult to accept. But then the number of thoughts I arrived through hating Yagami is very telling.

Indeed, the hotel scenes were actually terrifying. What I couldn't get out of my head was the whole hipnosis thing. The revenge was so meticulously planned. But I think what constituted the revenge raised the most interesting questions. What did you think of the ending?
I finished Death Note. I was disappointed that L actually died before the end of the series. I really liked him. I was infuriated by Yagami. His attitude is very problematic. Who is HE to judge others. But then again who are WE to judge him. But you know..the worst part that bothered me was his lack of empathy. He was just using people. He drove his father to his death. But then, if I accept that he is a god in the making (by his own ambition, I don't accept that either), is his character trying to make ma ask, does God NEED empathy?

OTP is One True Pairing for shipping characters, in harem anime theire is usually one already but sometimes viewers like to make other pairings after all. I hope you will enjoy them. :)

Then try the anime version of itazura na kiss. It;s very endearing. And Kaichou wa maid sama -it's comedy driven with a lot of romantic tension and anticipation and nice characters. And lovely complex- thiough in lovely complex art may be difficult to get used to, but the story is hilarious. All lovely romcoms with a lot of humour in it. For harem fantasy romance I would suggest Fushigi Yuugi (a sort of fantasy with lots of make out byt the OTP, though not sure if you will like the OTP as there are other well drawn gentlemen there you may like better than otp lol) If you like fantasy then Inuyasha may also be good, since it has a strong romance plot. There is also ayashi no Ceres that is very dramatic but it is connected with romance.
