haha. Well yes, I gad some doubts as to some of thise adds. But you said they were safe so I trust your word on that. Really? it;s not dynamic? Interesting. Thanks for telling me, I really need to be careful what I do online as long as I"m here. Back hiome as an individual user, I have dynamic IP too.
Great actor...he did wonderful job in Golden Time & Miss Korea...I became a fan! Edit: after Miseang he's an acting-god!
he does do the gangster character justice doesn't he? Some scenes were unnecessary for him but overall his character was the most magnetic in Miss Korea. He is a good actor. Shone brilliantly in King2Hearts with his smile and presence. he was a good fit for a King.
It's definitely not terrible. The beginning is weak with some weak twists and overacting but there are some cool ideas here like what is a man to do when a woman does better in life? ha, I found that interesting. I like the Lee Sung Min gagnbster character and the PhD woman. I've seen worse dramas and this one at least doeasn;t have the usual over-angst. Not a typical set up for sure. I may give it more attention in the future. Cast is only half- good. They shouldn;t have brought the Pasta guys- those people were terrible actors and kind of brings the story down. It's half mess but half kind of cool because ideas are not bad at all. And I found myself liking the gangster and the PhD woman. But there were fragments that felt were ripped off other dramas. Why was the Phd woman styles as the stupid girl from Wild Romance? I found it a little disquieting. And then there was a dance number which resembled the dance number from City Hall. It's half bad, half okay with some really cool ideas. Lee Sun Gyun feels a little out of touch with acting though -.- But I really like Lee Sung Min's gangster character.

particularly liked the second leads...there was this guy played by my well-liked Lee Sung Min (king from king2hearts) who was a gangster and he fell for a woman who has a PhD. It's actually interesting to see how they may overcome the differences. The drama is weak overall but it had its good points. Lee Sung Min and the PhD woman were nice for one thing. I can't speedwatch Sandglass because it's a more serious drama that has a lot more substance to it so I won't be cheating my way through it bit I need to find energy to give it the attention I think it deserves. For now, I"m too lazy and otherwise busy for that.
Ha. Dramas behind dramas make me think about King of Dramas. I think King of Dramas really captured the sort of thing you're telling me about Inspiring Generation. But maybe it will get better later on, or is it already half-way through? The large set of characters sounds appealing though, but often the more characters the less the writers are able to keep things together because they forget what each character is supposed to do. It's deterimental overall because it may make them forget what they were supposed to write for them and then either repetition sets in or the drama becomes inconsistent.

Not just yet. It's not the drama's fault. The drama is good. But I goit lazy with my attention span. It doesn't help that the version I'm watching has two episodes packed into one file. it makes it longer. It requires some attention but I still feel like the background is authenthic amnd opens up in front of my eyes a periof in Korean history that is not very often a serious sbject in dramas, if it is at all. I'll get back to it one of these days for sure. It's a heavy drama all in all and requires more careful attention, at least more attention than for the vast majority of dramas because it's so fresh in terms of setting and background for me in particular. In the meantime I felt like speed watching something lighter so i ended up speed watching Miss Korea. Not bad actually I quite liked the ideas there. But the beginning was very wobbly, it got better in the second half or maybe I just got used to it hehe.
After talking about dramas, the next step is to speed watch a drama that seems stereotypical enough because you will be able to guess most of the things that are happening. Well, actually, that wasn't the case her.e It really wasn't so bad but the beginning episodes had some terrible script and the actors were either struggling or overacting to compensate and overcome those issues. Like you, I instantly recognized BAD stuff when I feel embarassed about what I see. There were scenes early on in Miss Korea that made me think: man, whaaaat? This is too much! But it got better as I speeded along lol. but then I didn't watch everything very thoroughly, just the things that interested me. What's interesting in Miss Korea is actually the issue of male pride when confronting women who do better in life. It was really nice. I
This is indeed refreshng in a sense. Definitely requires some maturity. It;s refreshing but also a little bizarre…
oh yes!! I love that part! It grabbed me completely, it was probably the fragment in the series that I found most inspirational. It was sensitive and very heart-felt.

Yes, Masaaki's Ryoma was really as he should be. Watch Ryomaden one day. Masaharu does a greast job portraying all nuances of what I believe would be Sakamoto Ryoma. Masaaki is great at portraying larger than life characters. I love the man. He's very involved. Happy watching, it is a warm story. I'll look forward to hearing your comments.

Certainly. If I like a route then I"m afraid other routes will spoil it forever so I am afraid to do them. lol. I"m pretty sure though that in Fushigi Yuugi I will love all the routes..well except for that youngest looking scholar guy, forgot his name, chiriko or something. I don't like the type. Just like in dramas I don't like the girly looking flower boys. It's a similar thing. Girls who like the cute types like them everywhere.
Oh and agreed on the last point! It took me a few years to warm up to Anne of Green gables. I didn't want to read the series at first. The films ruined the books for me later- in the bad sense. Did you watch them? I loved Gillbert and Anne in the books though and they were played by good actors that had chemostry in the films but the storyl;ine was changed especially in the third and fourth film. I was annoyed.

Somehow I could never go for Hikami. For some reason I felt he resembled someone bad. I won;t say who because I don't want to spoil your memories of the game. But I just..in that uniform and with hair like that...eh. I liked Himuro better. I guess for me it was jumping from teacher to teacher XD. But you;re right. the main guys in both games feel like the storyline is for them alone. Also I don't like that they used shadow at the ending, made it feel generic. i like tangible endings, you know? haha. I never tried. I am far from trying to scare guys off. I Heartstring Bugs you have the option to do a "crazy face" in raction to something- it raises lots of love but if you do it too much, it will also freak them out hehe. I figure it may sometimes be the best option to get rid of someone. Not in Tokimeki. I was annpoyed with the "bombs". Seriously. I never paid attention to guys I didn't want to pursue and tried to be friends with the rival girls instead and what? they STILL crush on me AND bomb me? Nu-uh. Not cool! >< Although now that we talked about it I feel like playing it, even though I will get bored with it. But what I really hope to play one day is the Fushigi Yugi games you mentioned before ><

Hi Cheerful. Both actually. I am in need to extend my project so I"m rying to find the words I need. It takes a while. Also, my MDL password is long and complicated so I keep it jotted down on a piece of paper. So if I don't have that slip of papoer with me or if I don't feel like digging it out wherever I store it, then I just don't come. Usually talking about dramas will get me right back into them, so will see.
haha. I'm glad you found it to your taste. Ah. my bad. I lose track of when people celebrate what since we all come from different cultures and religions but I don't want to offend by making assumptions. We should have International Culture Day to celebrate. Not Christmas, not other religious festivals, just a day for all of us to exchange wishes regardless of what beliefs or culture we practise.
So what are you watching now?

aww. Ditto, Winnie! Unless of course you are off to make a drama XD I'm sure I will. just talking about dramas helps, you know. I speed watch most of the typical stuff anyway since I know 6/10 times what's going to happen. K-dramas in particular are predictable at this point, at least most of them. But last time what pulled me back to drama world wa... Master' Sun. It's usually the nad ones that pull me back ><
Ohhh Romeo Blue skies! Yay! It's a nice anime. i really liked it. It was warm and full of friendship.
Yeah, but for me the best part was the one when we got to discuss which version of the past did the doctor go to. He didn't go irectly to past A, he want to past B... well this is just an example. It's a bit more complex than that. it's as good as Stein;s Gate, you can just twist your brain around it!
I heard about this movie. Maybe one day I'll give it a watch too.

Though in Tokimeki 1 and 2 I went for the teachers first. Himuro and the chemostry guy from 2. I don't know why I think it;s because in general I like older men. Also I think in Tokimeki I was tempted to go for the sports guy next. I never finished the route. I never finished the main "prince route" because ultimately games like Tokimeki bore me. Too much stat grinding for heaven's sakes and too few random events. I'm too shy to do skinship and I always refrained from doing it to be honest. But I wasn't going far without skinship so after consulting a walkthrough/guide I uhh finally dared go for skinship every now and then XD But I don't really like it. I guess I"m old fashioned.
Ah yes, LAwrence of arabia would probably be on my list too. I'd really have to think about it. I am tempted to add Apocalpyse Now. and maybe Lord of the Rigs too because I did find it to be of genuinely epic propotions. But absolutely- the more we watch, the more experience we gain overall, our perceptions change. That's why it's so difficult to come up with a canon of this sort. I guess I could try to come up with cannon for each time period in my life then I would be able to trace pmy evolution hahaha. But to do so, I would have to travel to the past and tell my young self to keep a list. I didn't start keeping lists until much much later.

Well I think you;ll have it figured out in a manner of moments. I think though characters are a little more interesting in Tokimeki...who did you go in Tokimeki for if you played it? To be honest, I can't say in Froizen Essence and Heart Strings I only played one route so far. In Frozen Essence that route was one that I instantly liked so I couldn't bring myself to play other routes because I didn;t want that one marred. Irt was Water-Light ending. I never got dark ending because I don't like sad endings and lighter variants are good endings but from what I saw handled in less typical manner. I"m also looking forward to playing Winterwolves Roommates- it;s one of very few college otome games and I hope they will be back to form with this title because they made a few lackluster titles in the past. But I liked Winter in Fairbrook.
As for the paths in the other visual novels I mentioned in Serfaina I went striaght for the General. He's man with a moral spine and sense of justice and I liked him best. It;s a pretty well written story! In Line of Heroes I also liked a character b est, it was Melek. But to be honest Lines of Heroes was kind of weird at times. It was imaginative bit there was something off about it. The writing is okay and it's quite adventurous (they even added a bit of dungeon crawling) but in any case it's free and doesn't take too long so it was fun. Games like heartstrings Bugs don;t usually have a preferred path.
