I'm really impressed with Soredemo. So many perspectives taken into account. I LOVE eita's character. He shows incredible integrity and stregth and then there is Futaba, she's so much at the end of her tether that the viewer really wants to see her at peace and happy. Such an unlikely freidnship develops between the two. I can;t help but feel a little sorry for the two of them. their friendship is almost like that of soul mates and had corcumstances been different other possibilities would be viable. Such deep caring. Eita was just phenomenal but then his mither in this drama gave such a pained performance and Futaba's dad too. I am completely mesmerised. How fogiving can you be? How easy it is to criticise others when you don;t know their circumstances? Pretty darn good drama!

Title Ip Man
I guess it's okay as a story with a character named Ip Man. Kevin is rather likeable in this role, as are his mentors. Kind of excessive drama at times for me., I did not really like the whole side story with Yuen Wah's son. At times I felt like some things were cut plus it ends in a way which suggests continuation.

This was my first ever hong kong drama and it was a good watch as far as I"m concerned, certainly mostly an easy watch. I am addicted to the opening theme.

the other one looks a little weepy? Maybe a repeat of That Winter-like effect.

don;t you think its because of his family? They probably want him to star in "reputable" dramas.

agreed. Age is not a good indicator of how mature you are; age only makes you reponsible in front of the law if anything. Hope you will like the final eps. Happy watching.

for the record, this is the first drama that literally made a fool out of me towards the very end. I mean I was…
That's the charm of this series. It will resist the typical drama :) Don't you just love Saori?

yeah. The become worn out, it was quite powerful, to be honest. Though Suzuki was a bit of a problematic character for me. I was a littttle uneasy about his fantasies but then maybe it is easy to cross the line and he was afraid of that...but this bit in particular was really uneasy. Let me send you a pm about the other part.

I managed to dig up your comment on that Suzuki complete post. It;s buried under a ton of others. So you're a teacher? Do you teach kids this range?
What I also liked is how he is not judging people by age but trying to evaluate their maturity to discuss a certain issue. I do hope you get to see the final episodes! The last one was really something.

...ojjjj Evony ta drama bardzo latwo wchodzi do czlowoej trojki mojej. Tak ludzkie dramy z taka glebia i jeszcze takim superb aktorstwem across the board..absolutnie i niezaprzeczalnie jedna z najlepszych japonskich dram.

A Drama offering this much depth, faith and hope comes only ever so often.. This is a gem of a drama and a gem of a cast. A rare drama which doessn't put one side on trial and glorifies another. Oh no. It suspends judgmentality and shows, instead, understanding. The strength the leads in particular demonstrate is very hopeful.

The drama just has a very deeply human streak that moves you to think about things. Acting's phenomenal. OST is haunting. It's just one of those rare dramas that leave a lasting impression in your heart. And one of the rare dramas that deserve an easy 10. I loved that the ending didn't dumb the drama down.

No but I will likely at some point. But Soredemo is incredible. It's deep and doesn't moralise just...perspectivises.

In general I like the values japanese dramas tend to highlight because I have a semi- conservative mindset, you could say. Perhaps that's why I don't usually find them preaching or am otherwise not bother by it. But this...this is incredibly well-done. I LOVe the leads and I find that I really feel for them. Suzuki Sensei is another drama which is interestingly atypical and moves away from the model of "inspiring teacher motivates academically undisciplined students" that's been done to death now. Have you seen it?

Yeah I share your feelings on this Cheerful. The story was complete as it was. Do you know who the screen writer is supposed to be?

I do hope you will find to be as powerful as I am finding it to be. I think this drama is something of an experience so I'm hesitant to say enjoy.

you weird, it makes YOU special in the best possible sense of the word.

Soredemo is incredibly emotionally powerful for me. It's difficult to watch at times but very interesting and acting is top notch, they convey those emotions so well. It's an amazing drama. I am planning to watch Orange Days soon as well, so far I couldn't get in the right mood.

Aww, Cheerful, I think everyone here on this site has a particular strong interest in something. I think it makes us all unique. And I think it's really good to have a strong focus, interest in something extremely specific, be it blood, katanas or taekwondo. I mean very specific points of focus. That doesn't make

yeah, drama slumos can be very painful sometimes. I hope you will find this to your taste. I am watching Soredemo, Ikite Yuku and it's a very powerful drama with excellent cast. Handles a difficult theme but does so with the hope that there may be a light somewhere along the way. I really love it. I have had a streak of excellent dramas in recent days, beginning with Reply 1994. Then I watched Suzuki sensei, which is very thought provoking school drama and now this.
