heh, thats a great approach :D I guess I"m pouting a little. I hate arguing but end up arguing because I am annoyed at a character in a melo lol I hope I can be forgiven, I guess I feel like I've been a little arrogant towards her and am regretful and angry at myself. I like to keep peace with people arround me but sometimes I do end up arguing because something does not agree with my sense of values- I can still be a reactionary sometimes and a little too headstrong in my opinions and feelings. If I slip into this mode it means I got too comfortable with myself and after I feel that I beat myself up over this and then turn reticent. The mood as I am now is usually the moment when I feel like escaping out of embarrassment. And I end up escaping, using work as an excuse. Maybe it's the weather. It's awfully rainy/dark today.

I just got depressed right niw because of the argument. I felt like sharing my opinions as I was having a hard time watching Missing you, but ended u not having enough ground to stand because i skip too much becaise I lack the patience for the melo >< I think I may stop watching korean dramas alltogether, seeing that I started arguing with friends in a sem-civil manner >< I'm depressed now I think I may leave for a couple of days. I guess melos and makjangs are definitely not for me as I am now, not anymore. Yoong Seung Ho's character in Missing you is a little interesting and I can understand hima little but he's manipulating Yoon Eun Hye's character and is starts getting on my nerves whenever I try to pick it up again. ><

How heavy of a melodrama is five fingers? I started watching missing you but I lost my nerve to continue. Peeked at the ending, argued with a friend over one of the characters whom I dislike but who is complex...makes me wonder of melodrama is something I should stop considering; maybe it;s not a genre I should watch after all.

In the end whan you say "forced", I say it's because the genre of melodrama does not lend itself to easy reception overall. Oh well, I tried. Thank you for your comments, as always.

Im sorry if you think I am attacking harry without knowing all the story but as I said his character/ the whole story is a little too hard to take. I may continue just to see more of his complex character. He IS an interesting/damaged character and certainly a challenge to act, I think, especially for one so young as Yoo Seung Ho. I guess I was looking for some motivation to watch on since it was beginning to be too difficult to watch, hence I shared what I thought so far.... Do you mind if I share opinion again after I've seen more of Harry.. Ultimately I am driven to think think it;s Han Tae Jun who is the real villain. All children were a victim of his actions.

Well, agreed and to be fair I am going to try and finish the drama one of these days. As I said overall I found it too heavy and hard to take Harry, much as I love the actor. I think maybe melodramas are not for me as I have little patience or tolerance for them; that's what makes me want to see the ending first usually: inability to tolerate the heavy-handed melodrama, all the cryong, all the twists, I go crazy when I see all that and it becomes way too maudlin. There was too much crying in there over all. Her mother got on my nerves with all the hitting too. I understand her situation, I do, but...it was too much. I"m glad she was able to find support in the end. Yoochun is not the most amazing actor, to be honest. His child version fares much better, but I did appreciate that he simply picked up from where the child version left off.

indeed, so we have Hanzawa samurai and now Komikado samurai maybe they should let Sakai just play a samurai in a taiga drama XD

Indeed, I get that artificial vibe off of him. i guess now we know why.

Yeah, it;s pretty good. It's a lot of fun. Christmas is a blessing for us the hard-workers. I'm relieved to be going on a break too, although I need to keep up with my writing.

So how did you like the episode? I thought the preview looks interesting. I do still enjoy mayzumi and komikado banter haha. and that speech towards the end of the courtroom speech was quite good Have to say. It seemes to me like everything is back on typical Komikado track, which is a relief. Ohhh but did you see the preview? haha what do you say about Hanyu now? Trust the scripwriter to offer a surprise twist at the end...though it;s not as good as Saori....oh well You can;t well have Saori number all the time.

woman falls in a love with a creep who mistreats her and then defends him even if he abuses her, psychologically or emotionally or physically. I am having difficulties accepting this.

Thank you for your thoughts. Sunflower, I was happy to read them, even though I disagree. I think Harry was not protecting her. Harry was protecting himself and acting as a creep. He is sympathethic but not in a manner that would make me root for him as a love interest on the contrary. It's good that he lives though: he has a chance to repent for his actions and start a new, better, more hopeful and meaningful life...I hope.

I hope you are having an enjoyable Sunday, Sunflower :)

He was a young boy And afraid, too. His dad has a lot more to answer for.How can we blame a young boy for not acting like a dashing hero? He could have also hated himself for what he was seeing. And Harry? Harry was manipulating her emotionally from the moment they met, stalking, I think there was even a case of using force. You Seung Hoo is a great actor but he becomes way too creepy to be considered a love interest. I had a look at the ending. I think he got what he deserved. He is alive at least. I do symoathise with him at times but I find him creepy. it would be too much if he got the girl. especially since Jung Woo showed so much repentance and devotion after what happened. In this case then I happen to disagree with you. Jung woo is the better guy. Harry is much too troubled. I find that this is type perpetuates the sterotype:

it's a case of sharing brithday with a few but BIG personalities :D Sir Walter Scott was born on August 15 too :D

Oh and Bogart along with a few other. My favourite oldtime personality is fred Astaire though. He had such an aura of likeability about him and a lot of grace and charm. Where are such old-fashioned gentlemen these days? :sigh:

I'll send you a link. As I investigated the story later, the princess was called Bangja in Korean. She would have been queen of Korea had Korean not been annexed to Empire of Japan. They came so close to a union made by marriage.

Ohhh, the same person who penned Horation Hornbowelr? Fascinating, dd you see the adaptation? If you like ships, try reading Conrad's "The Mirror of the Sea" if you haven't yet he talks beautifully about the sea and ships; it's a collection of his essays on seafaring. I am particularly nostalgic when he says that ships which are in harbour are like prisoners; when they sail they are like live creatures, like birds in flight. Can't remeber the exact comparison now but something to this extent. I think you may find it interesting. Conrad very much loved the mast and sail ships too.

Reise...I think in your case

how can anything be more unlucky than friday 13? 0.o Were you grilled so much during the class? Well you survived it, that's what matters, you can put it all behind and rest a little!

I will sleep a little and watch Ryome den and work on my final class for next week. I also need to pace up with my chapter and then I"ll probably go buy something sweet for dessert after dinner.

he;s okay to me, to be honest and in missing you he mostly pocks up from where the younger self left off, it;s not bad. Except the drama is so heavy ;_; and Yoo Seung Hoo is so creepy in there. He's got a manipulative character, I will probably finish eventually. Having a good weekend?

Episode 9 of legal high is out and the preview for ep 10 looks REALLY interesting, but they spoiled it majorly in the preview lol. ep 9 was rather nice. I think I will try watching Missing You. I mean I already started, got up tp ep 5 or 6. Heavy melodrama. YSH is playing a major CREEP but I like the young actor, he;s 16 and he;s pretty good, and plays Micky;s child version. He also starred in Giant. Micky;s character is pretty endearing with all the love and devotion he has. But it;s terribly heavy melodrama.
