I see. Well, I can understand the feeling. For me, keeping things varied is the most important thing and I tend to find that watching dramas from different cultures is more enjoyable though I do find myself liking japanese dramas more. I'm more harsh on korean dramas. I don;t watch chonese as a rule or taiwanese though, just a few if a story sounds interesting enough, but I"m rather picky there.

you may yet find the motivation, you have lots of time! Maybe you will develop a passion for Chinese along the way? Once you learn some basics especially with Spanish it's hard to forget them so I find it's always easier to pick it up later.

nope it's not there. I was learning Japanese six years ago and I was drawn to dramas as a way pr pfractising the language...and it sort of stayed that way. I forgot a lot of the Japan ese I learned but I still understand some things and so Japanese dramas are a good way to keep remindng myself of some things. I may eventually pick up japanese again.

interesting choices. It doesn't have to be a drama from 2013 :P Special dramas are usually 1-4 episodes long so I mean only special that aren't longer. Looks good though :)

Well, sometimes I notice a bug thanks to which the tags jump around as a result when I save instead of a changed color I have an unclosed tag showing. Sometimes something I type won't save for some reason. I guess the system hasn;t been perfected yet.

Do you think there is room for season 3?

Maybe it was Jewel in the Palace? It's one of the best and most examplerary Korean saeguks and it is fairly aged by now. It's good that you found your own way into drama world as ..here you are :)

Ending is not all there is to a series, in my humble opinion. The anime was fun to watch and the only reason the anime was open ended is because the manga is still not finished so they didn't know what to dow tih. That's why I hate incomplete stories but they start airing fue to popularity..mistake. They should only make anime of complete stories or at least stories which have a defined ending. I thought that, considering the corcumstances they did the best they could giving the viewer a hope for a future. I will eventually but right now I"m too involved in a taiga drama. I love those.

It's a site for keeping a movie diary- what films you watched. But it;s a new site so not all movies are there; it has a sleek design and more social features but it;s essentially something like imdb.

Don't even listen to that. You're not a hypocrite. But...don't say you don;t like something until you TRY.
I think you have had a prejudice for Ha Ji Won but now that you've seen her a bit more it doesn;t seem like she;s so bad. Changing your mind is a sign of an intelligent person whoi can be persuaded and recognize they may be wrongl you;re not a robot, for heaven;s sake. You hav e every roght to change your mind! It's YOURS to change!

I will check the blog later. Right now I"m stressed before final lecture tomorrow.

It's an important arc, things will happen here. Karl and Schubert are a little useful later, not AS important as some other characters perhaps but still important for the story.

Yep, that's Johann's charm all right. I was ALWAYS on the edge when he came as I was CERTAIN he was up to something and it made me anxious and curious at the same time. don't worry, everything will make sense eventually. But even when it starts making sense some new threads complicate things a little more!

Monster's creator is a v.good storyteller clearly. I think there is never a really dull moment and it pulls you in like a good drama, in my humble opinion. I think if this were a drama it would be more popular. I was loving Tenma on his journey, he always remained an esssentially noble kind of guy. I do love having characters to bond with and root for. It's when I have most fun. I wish you the same and

Hi Winnie - and welcome back :P Took me a while to comprehend that Yamada has allowed Winnie to return yay. haha, that's monster mangetism :P Oh so you're startied on the Schubert arch in Munich (I really kept detailed notes :P) I loved the Munich part a lot. Karl is a very likeable character.

Happy you feel the pull too :D How does it feel? Do you feel the pacing is fine or is there too mich to take in? I'm keeping the monster section until next week. I will replace it with a less revealing avatar for the remainder of the month. I do wonder who will end up being your favourote character and how will you respond to the developments further on. Each characters gets his or her five minutes. Ohhh but the best is still before you :D

In the meantime, I don;t want Ryoma Den to end. I love the character so much, Fukuyama is quite magnetic in this exceptional character role.

but their very presence is powerful enough to give you hints. With Owada you just KNOW he can do much and go far. Sakai practically wear the same determined expression on his face; he hardly softens even at home, like a samurai. You know I do fear he's going overboard sometimes when watching the episodes, but he always managed to calm me down since he was doing it for a concrete and just cause. But..I don't know. Can't say much more until you see the ending. I am VERY crious what you will make of it.

ah, so the hotel story. I think things will become a little clearer once you see how Sakai solves the problem. And there is a particulalry powerful moment for that. Admittedly, I got lost in that part and I agree that it's fast paced but it was so naturally connected with part 1 in some ways since figures from the past reemrged. I don't know a lot of technical things myself, I watched to find out what would Sakai do. you know, someone here called him a samurai banker and somehow I am led to think that he is infact a sort of a modern-day samurai fighting for the integrity of his bank and his own name against the corruption of the establishment and to help those who need it. Now that I"m watching Ryoma I kind of remeber feeling the same sort of a "nned to protect/help" vibe in Hanzawa. His friend's storyline is important too but I think it'll clear in the next episode or two.
