I'll be honestly this wasn't all that. there was just way too many misunderstanding and back and forth, The middle was too draggy and FL took way too long to gain full consciouness and act like she has some sense, also the constant chasing was annoying. But I must say the last 5-10 episoodes were exceptional, definitely stayed on theme and didn't disappoint me at all. I only wished they gave Gui Hong a better ending. something like having him imprison but all his past friends and family would like come visit him and try to get him back to his old self.

Somethings to note: Nan Rui, Fu gui, Duanshan Hu and Ji xiang were definitely my favorite characters, I genuinely believed the Emperor was let off way too easily for how poor he handled his grieve of the empress, he should've atleast sincerely apologized and took a few days to feel some real deep regrets. I hate how they brushed over the fact that Song Yiting is a little attempting rapist....I really don't care what her circumstances were that shii was weird! furthermore she never came clean because of her dignity but i saw everyone ridiculed Nan Heng cause they thought he did .... to her. I wish they never hong Li shi liu/sixteen character so quickly the costume was genuinely sick instead they should've passed it on to the next boss.

All in all a solid 8/10 just because of everything that happened in the middle. Alot of weird shii happened that were never addressed so i can never give them a ten but they 8 at the end! nibbled even.

Alright chile, lemme go finish fukass "The Princess‘s Gambit" so i can ruin my morning for no reason. 31 episodes in and it has been nothing short of plot holes inconsistent storytelling and a rapey relationship between the leads. so far they've had three kiss, all were forced and aggressive basically SA and one of them led to sleeping together.... I really don't know how to feel but I'm sure ion like the overall story. scriptwriters need the guillotine for what they're presenting on my screen as normal!

I swear to God if the ending aint decent, it'll be nothing but negativity in the comments over there!

Qing Tai took forty days and forty nights to reach the other country but suddenly everyone else kept showing up behind her one after another and somehow they all found eachother with minutes or hours of being in the big city? There's so much I wanna say right now but it ultimately boils down to bad writing. They took pieces of other shows and included it into this one and just slammed it down on the table to call a manuscript. They was there no editor that could've told them how trash this is? was the book like this?

Oh Shen Zaiye that blow was nasty. He's been disappointing me for the whole show but I guess he ate that one little thing......The way he set the stage and with just a few words he was able to control Mu Wuyin...gurl that mfer a weak ass villian, they need to bring the big dogs to the table. My money is on my gurl Zhen Zhen she's playing chess while everyone else playing checkers. So far her villian ark is very well written, her moves are calculated well and executed even better. I love the method she used to get rid of her cousin! Very nice. I wish the writers took the liberty to ACTUALLY write and spend as much time as they did for Zhen Zhen character on the female lead, like i have yet to see her do anything "smart" or with a wow factor except for her constantly SA'ing that man and being manipulative for his brownie points. The writing is very inconsistent and without balance!!!!! I hate that they had to write her in a way where the only thing she could do to "FULLY" hold Zai Ye down was throwin that cat. Also I have so much to say about the trope between the Main leads and how they're resorting to pity parties to get these two back together. Ion know I genuinely don't feel the "chemistry" between them in a lovers way, maybe that's just me. I also think they should address certain things and get to the bottom of certain actions they both took against each other especially her instead of using her greivances she experienced back at home to prove that she did this and that because of what happened to her back home cause if we're being honest Shen Zai Ye experienced very similar thing and none of his actions were nearly as manipulative (atleast in a bad or harmful way). But then again maybe they wanted Princess Cheng Ping to be morally grey? but wait wasn't that the idea Zai Ye was going for, why isn't he being portrayed like that? again the writing is very inconsistent and without balance!!! He's my next target -_-, I hate to say it and I hope I don't sound ridiculous but he's been lovesick way more than he's been scheming and because of this I think everybody at court might be idiots including the king cause is this the man that has been running shii and leaving the biggest noble families in shables because of how calculative and smart he is against them? The wrote his character in a way where i expected to be awe stunned by his every scheme but i'm MOSTLY disappointed.

why is Meng Zhen Zhen wailing as if her brother didn’t just reap what he sowed? I'm so confused lmao. their sibling love is a sight to see.... Gurl you and your family literally drove several others to ruins just because ya'll had great ambition for power, your brother deserve to be slash a thousand times, have his limps torn apart and fed to pigs and dogs to atone for his sins and even then that wouldn't be enough. Marrying into an household because you were force? I get your resentment you totally deserve all the grace on such matter, helping to kill your husband because he keeps getting in the way? sure why not what needs to be done should be done. killing imprisoning and overworking poor young lads? go ahead it's all for the greater cause isn't it? This shii is getting ridiculous...What kind of monster are you that you had to resort to such manipulative tactics of getting your self severely hurt so that you could gain the trust of someone.....The situation was NOT that dire. I also DO NOT wanna here she's doing it to survive or it was her only way out cause all that's false.... They were working together and collaborating fine, furthermore than man risk his own life not once but twice to save her with the first time occuring because she's just downright outta pocket. She could've used multiple ways to shame the crown prince in that shop but no she had to resort to slapping him in the face knowing how brutal he is and knowing he already suspects her. Everyone here is trying to survive, both of them have their difficulties and it's so evident cause both are wearing it all on their sleeve even if it's subtle.

Ion know this is one of the worst kind of female lead i've ever seen...Playing on people emotions like that because she wanna gain trust is just way too outerline for me to say I respects the lengths she'll go. First the fake suicide to gain pity point as a "rape victim" then this? people like her are very dangerous in a serial killer way. OLE GURL IS WEIRD! YUCK

The reason this shocks me so bad is because she's really so self righteous and always call the chancellor file but in my opinion and base on what they've showned so far he has yet to do anything vile or outta pocket compare to all the stunts she has pulled. this girl is sick. and i'm sure the writers will not address this and point out how wrong she was for doing that.

I really understand the fact that she force the marriage because she wanted to save her younger brother but she did that at the expense of making the chancellor appeared as a rapist, not only that when it's coupled with the fact she faked her suicide everything became cemented. She knows he didn't have any intentions of assaulting her yet she still play pretend as if that was his intention. I ABSOLUTELY HATE STORYLINES LIKE THIS, it's very disgusting and downplays the greivance REAL victims experience. poor writing


I do not understand what Zai Ye intentions were in trying to choke her to death, it made absolutely no sense. Then again she was the one who tried to kill him first so can you really blame him? My thing is, He had enough self control and resolve not to pounce on her though he was drugged and she was also able to control herself, once both realized they were set up why didn't any one thing of an escape route like through a window or leave the room five minutes apart discreetly? they had enough time since they had full blown conversation. poor writing

I'm like 6 episodes in and every scheme has done from the very beginning were easily seen through by me are these writers saying i'm somehow way smarter than a chancelor who gain favor from the king base on a single action and a princess who had to survive under her evil imperial mother? ridiculous! This leads me to my point on this; The way the events are being played out are way too unbalanced. She's Scheming and so is he if anything they both should be on the same level with wits; how is that he's constantly being led by her? I like a good enemies to lovers especially when it includes two characters who are to deemed equally smart but none of this just isn't cutting it especially when she's on his forte.

That's why i wrote "He acts as if he's slow" ion think he really is

Prince Nan Rui who acts as if he's slower than sloth was able to see through Lu Yi lies but for some reason the almighty and smart leader of Qiangyu Army didn't even take a single second to think? Oh brother, he's a even more slower person than the female lead is(was) in the beginning it's actually laughable. Gui Hong isn't trying to discover who killed his aunt or who caused the death of his father, he's simply trying to find someone to push the blame unto so he doesn't have to deal with the fact that he's incompetent and only got where he is right now due to the family he was born in.


I can already predict the ending of this; the uncle is the one who killed the aunt and made Nan Heng a scapegoat, why? so that he'll be a loner without any backative, no one to depend on but him and the Gao family. All of the trial and tribulation was to turn him into something so heartless the only thing he would find joy in is torture and killing. He would've then had Nan Heng kill Nan Rui, kill Gui Hong, kill the King to usurp the throne and then finally have Nan Heng sit on the throne and control him from behind the scenes ulimately creating a puppet he only knows to control. Nan Heng would never know peace and never feel love cause everytime someone with substance comes around him the uncle would eventually kill them and blame it on his enemy which would only cause Nan Heng resentment to keep building making him nothing but a violent killing machine. Too bad Nan Heng is nothing like that at heart and his single only wish is to be loved and appreciated, to feel valued and loved by his family just like it's suppose to be.

I do not care about that. If it makes him or his wife uncomfortable then by all means set the boundaries needed for their relationship to last and stay strong. However the moment it begins to affect ALL your project is the moment you need to decide on a compromise and find different genres to do

Somebody gets it. And it’s not necessarily about kissing it’s the mere fact that he refuses to engage in skinship and whenever he does it’s always awkward and out of place. more than anything, the thing his and the production team does that pissed me off is pretending that he’s engaging in a kiss scene by doing weird angles and or we see a curtain fall or the window blow or just shadows on the walls etc. like bro like don’t piss me off. My cup is already full and running off because you refuse to show affection even though your character description says youre a “lover boy” so I would like for you to not upset me further with your nonsense. My thing is I love that he respects his wife/family but I’m such a case heavy romance related genres or most definitely not for you or projects he should be outwardly seeking. Romance isn’t the only genre he needs to explore and attempt at working in other areas cause soon enough people are gonna get tired of his nonsense. No matter how great of an actor you are people will get tired and bored when the same thing is being thrown at us. It took me two dramas of his to give up and be a peace with the fact he’ll never serve me yearning affection or any affection at all(base in his character descriptions)

I had very high hopes and I think I might've expected a bit too much.... It wasn't bad or not good, I just expected more.

Ren Jia Lun.....I really don't get why he keeps doing romance drama when he failed to deliver in certain aspects to depic affection. I totally respect his decision and how much he cares about his wife and marriage but please...They're so many other genre of historical drama he can excel in without romance. Like it's getting very ridiculous.

dry a$$ revenge, unnecessary romance....d!sappo!nt!ng and overr@ted. In my opinion this was no revenge or at the very least none of the deaths were satisfying. They did a whole lotta nothing. Wasted two days of my life over nonsense.

This just pissed me clean off...Stellar writing at the beginning...Like the show was soo good; then these mfers started to drag their foot in the middle, Still I'm okay that's typical for some kdrama plus it was still good just a little draggy

BUT THEN they had the audacity to give us a freaking lackluster ending, like nah bro... come nah. this shii ridiculous. HOW DO YOU FUMBLE THE BAG THIS BAD? I'm pissed off bro...we were owned at least a 2 minutes epic fight scene or something emotional with how they were exaggerating the fact he'll vanish without the pearl. Like they could've given us one good scene with Gang Cheol being all mighty and shii. bruh all in all I'm upset with the ending very lackluster and irrelevant when you look at the main theme of the show. Shows like these often times DOES NOT need an overly happy ending, even an open ending or sad ending would've suffice once ON-THEME.
