I was shouting 'don't do it' as our nice ML promptly dumped his stellar career in data mining and moved into a slummy apartment block, just to be near to his beloved witch. But apparently our guy likes to live dangerously , literally. Let's hope he solves the curse before he gets fatally bored or runs out of money, and into FL!

What do we think about Noah at the end of the season? He was written as this humble and devout Christian with a strong sense of right and wrong. For someone so upright and clever, he was very judgemental - he never gave his hardworking mother a chance to explain her side of the story. From a parent's point of view - that's pretty devastating. He didn't seem to consider that both his parents grew up in tougher times, made their mistakes and didn't have the freedoms and opportunities he had. He also didn't have a problem hitting his girlfriend.

Title Pachinko Season 2 Spoiler
can someone tell me the difference in what happens to noa in the book and in the series
Hi - from what I remember - in the book - when Noah found out about who is father was (from his girlfriend) - he had an internal meltdown, dropped out of uni and just disappeared. He didn't hit his girlfriend, go to confront Hansu or go to Osaka to say goodbye to his mother. I think they put in those extra scenes for dramatic effect or because its a western audience. Also - in the book - he didn't realise Hansu was a yakusa until the girl pointed it out, too.

I do really enjoy Pachinko but the modern day stuff for me really drags it down and I mean this in terms of Solomon.…
Yeah, I can't fault the acting , but Solomon's character just wasn't that interesting/ likeable in the first series. Maybe they should have gracefully faded him out in the second series!

Title Pachinko Season 2 Spoiler
Really enjoying the series so far. I notice in Episode 6 - it's starting to deviate a lot more from the book. In the book, Noa failed his entrance exam a couple of times- because he had to study and work full time. And in the end, he did accept Ko Hansu's money so he could go to university. They had some kind of friendly relationship and kept in touch, at this point.
The Yakuza business guy in 1989 in the tv version- he might be Ko Hansu's grandson - but he might not! Also don't remember Sunja the elder's date scene at Mexican restaurant in the book - but hey you're never too old for romance !

Phuuuuu u got me with this one! I don't even know actors that can dance professionaly. Maybe Jeong So Min?
Hi Bunny, I know Jo Jung Suk and Lee Joon Gi are really good dancers. Jo Jung Suk started out in musicals ( I think his mom was a dance instructor). I'm sure there are other actors/ actresses who can sing and dance or dancers who went into acting/ singing. Can defo think of a few in C drama land too.
Badass Bunny Sep 26, 2024
So basically, most well known actors can sing pretty well too. How about actors who can sing and dance professionally as well - that might narrow the list a bit.

I watched this because I was interested in their relationship, but the side stories about the cases were boring.…
Yeah, the violinist was the most interesting case - shame it was only one episode. I think they could have got a short series out of that one! I do find with legal series - if I don't empathise with the clients then I lose interest in the show. It's hard to get excited about mergers and acquisitions type plots. There was a US legal show called The Good Wife which had it all - super interesting clients, clever plots, a stellar cast. It ran and ran and I never lost interest.
