According to an IG story he posted today(8/12/2023), apparently before it got cancelled due the massive controversy surrounding it, he was supposed to appear in the first 6 episodes of Joseon Exorcist.
Though it is understandable why they had to cancel the series, it's a personal bummer for me that we won't be able to see any more of what David would have done in the series.

Jesus, they plan this much ahead into their dramas in advance? I never would have thought we'd have two upcoming weekend family dramas planned out already.

Makes me wonder if the screenwriter's trying to create a work that will gain the same amount of popularity that YL&G had. It peaked at 38.7 percent, meanwhile nowadays getting family weekend dramas past the typical 10-20 percent viewmark is a struggle of its own.
As bad as the storyline for was for that show, the main focal point of said show was the main couple, which performed very well. The primary leads had great chemistry with each other, and their characters as a couple was very popular.
Maybe there's a difference in opinion or there's some things I overlooked, because I haven't gone back to rewatch it after watching the original broadcast - and believe me when I say I do not feel like reliving that era of my life! I guess there are some negatives from this show that the positives couldn't get me to overlook.
It seems they finished filming up to Episode 100(according to Yoon Da Young's IG)! I can't wait for it, but I'll absolutely dread the moment we see the missing-in-action Seonju finally appear.
