Has he retired? His last project was in 2021. Seventy is still young.
It is very difficult to say.
His known last appearance on TV was KBS1's TV show "A Walk Around the Neighborhood". He departed from the show after his last appearance on July 9th, 2022, citing his reason for departing from the show was because he wanted to "focus on the drama"(machine translated, don't take it to heart). His IG and YT accounts have been inactive for over 2 years now.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CuStBsDSynM/ new work to be released on KBS1. Nam Sang Ji from KBS1's "Bravo My Life" is tagged on this post, which probably means she'll be involved as well.
I don't recall ever seeing an article here that had such a high percentage of comments disagreeing with it.
I think similarly, it's because there hasn't been an article that's been more wrong on the facts that are being relayed than this one.
Like, they're great or solid, but comparing the current generation's "chosen ones" to the previous generation's is nonsensical, because the differences between them are very high I'd say. I put "chosen ones" in quotations because I don't necessarily agree that these exact three would be the representation for this era.
But they are gassing them up far too much by comparing them to the previous generation(and believe me, the difference between them is like night and day lol)
I wonder if this means he will return to secondary main lead status(MDL dropped him to supporting role after he went AWOL for a good period of time, only being mentioned here and there while he was gone lol)
I’m really not sure why they brought in the pharmacist and her son. Is it going to be a romance between her…
I don't know either but I hope we see more of her, I like Yoon Ah Jung and her scene stealer roles.
Worst case scenario(for the doctor's wife) is the doctor will completely cut all ties(sans the obligatory child-related needs) with the wife once he's had enough of her. Though it's still possible he wouldn't end up with the pharmacist even after that ordeal as we don't know anything about the kid's father.
I can't really imagine this is the confirmed cast, considering Kim Jin Woo is set to appear in "Tomorrow's Peach", the drama that this one would be taking its place.

Sang Ji is tagged on Sae Byeok's post, which means she'll probably be involved in this work that will air on the KBS1 network.

It's not out of the realm of possibility though.
I'm very behind, so I don't know if his character name was revealed at any point.
