Is this still being made? If so that’s exciting, it’s been a long time since I read the novel and I wish I could find it again and reread it. I’m struggling to remember both endings tbh, I just remember the bad ending made my stomach turn and I nearly stopped reading because of how disgusted I was. The promotional images look great but are also making me nervous that they’ll adapt the bad ending.

Finally got around to starting this series. I’m only one episode in and I’m already enjoying it more than it’s En Of Love version. Hopefully I can finish this quickly but I’m glad they’ve stuck with mostly the same cast, though I do miss Folk as Bar a little. The new Gun and Bar look great though so I’m not too sad about the change.

Yeah, this is a bit of a spoiler but towards the end of the series it turns into a murder mystery and the audience finds out who the murderer is in the last few minutes of the final episode while the characters still don’t know who it was and that’s where it ends.

I’m not sure, I haven’t actually seen The Warp Effect yet although it’s on my list so it could be the same. I guess we’ll wait and see.

I finally finished this series, it was really confusing but I actually really liked it. I’m hoping for a season 2 honestly because I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending and thought they could have added a few more episodes to complete the story.

I’ve seen loads of Jojo’s projects which was why I was very happy when he was the director for this series. I’ve found that he’s always had a way of pushing the boundaries without overdoing it. I know he’s worked on some great projects, for example Friendzone with infidelity, 3 Will Be Free with polyamory, The Player with mystery, and Never Let Me Go with suspense. He’s done these projects so well which is why I’ve allowed myself to get my hopes up with this series. I definitely think there will be some broader overall message at the end but I’m definitely expecting some realism here and a realistic level of character depth.

Exactly. There’s nothing wrong with seeing a genre or theme you don’t like/aren’t familiar with and giving it a try, but don’t complain when it ends up being exactly as advertised. When I complain about a series it’s mainly in regards to bad acting, poor chemistry, bad budget etc, not about the plot that was clearly stated in the plot description lmao.

Exactly. Watching a series knowing what’s going to happen then complaining about it never makes sense to me. If you don’t like toxic romance don’t watch a series with a toxic and messy relationship. If you don’t like slow paced dramas don’t watch a slow burn romance, if you don’t like watching teen romances don’t watch a teen romance drama. Seeing people in comment sections complaining about the main aspect of a BL when they watched it knowing that would be the main theme have always confused me.

Agreed, like just let me enjoy my toxic romance in peace lmao. Often infidelity is a topic I stay away from depending on how it’s done, but because this is going to be toxic idk why I’m so excited to see it all. I have very high expectations for this series so I’m really hoping they deliver.

They’ll likely release a censored and uncensored version, I imagine there will be a censored version on YouTube and they’ll release the uncensored on another platform like Viki or WeTV possibly. That’s what some other companies like WabiSabi did for Between Us the series but I guess we’ll find out when it’s released.

Agreed. Although I’ve watched some toxic romances that were badly done, it always bothered me when people would watch a series knowing it was toxic and spend ages complaining about how toxic their relationship was. I always think about Love Syndrome as the best example of this. There was so much that you could complain about, the poor quality, bad acting, awful special effects and makeup, but to complain about the main couples toxic relationship knowing the series was advertised as a toxic and messy series never made sense to me.

Same! I’m already in pain just waiting for it’s release, I can’t imagine the pain of watching each episode knowing I’ll have to wait a whole week for the next one. It’s going to be torture lmao.

I’m so excited I can’t even put it into words! As much as I love my sweet BL’s with limited drama, just focused on a nice little love story like My School President, I also love BL’s that are messy and completely toxic. This is giving toxic romance and I’m absolutely here for it. I was talking about this on the page for Playboyy the series, how these two are gonna be my guilty pleasure BL’s this year, focused on sex and toxicity over healthy communication. I’m so excited, it looks like this one will be following Be My Favourite, and honestly Only Friends and Last Twilight are my two most anticipated GMMTV BL’s for this year so I’m super excited. I’ve definitely noticed a trend that a lot of the 18+ BL’s we’ve been getting recently have really stepped up their game. This is a reminder to everyone that this is going to be a toxic and sexual drama, so if you’re not into that don’t watch, there are plenty teen romance BL’s for you to enjoy instead. Let me have my toxic romance for once without people in the comments complaining about how toxic the story is lmao. I’m very excited for it’s release date, I’m counting down the days now!

Yeah, honestly I’m probably going to wait for Wedding Plan to finish, I just watched the first episode for Prapai and Sky’s wedding but after that scene I stopped it because I wasn’t willing to start another ongoing series at that point. I may also hold off on this series as well as Be Mine Superstar and Minato’s Laundromat. Everything I’ve heard from this series is that it’s cute, but not anything outstanding. Thanks again!

Thanks for the advice! At the moment I’m watching Be My Favourite, Laws of Attraction, Stay With Me, Stay By My Side, and Tokyo in April. I’m hoping to start Low Frequency, Be Mine Superstar, Minato’s Laundromat 2, Wedding Plan and Jun & Jun soon.

To anyone currently watching this series can I have some advice? I’m currently planning to start/in the middle of several currently ongoing series and I’m not sure if I want to add this to that list. Is this more of a, better to wait for all the episodes to be released and binge watch it at once, sort of series or a, watch one episode a week to avoid the spoilers sort of drama?

Well I said I wanted more realistic sex scenes in BL dramas so I have no complaints here after watching the uncensored trailer for this series. I’m so used to sex scenes in BL’s where they just go straight for it without any preparation or anything (and let’s be honest, in real life the one on the bottom would be in a lot of pain and bleeding if that actually happened) so I’m hoping a series like this will be more realistic. I’d love to see conversations about protection, getting tested, and these topics which are often considered “taboo” or just “uncomfortable” to some. I know some people are complaining as this looks like a series with more sex than plot, my response to that is just don’t watch it. We have enough BL’s out there with little to no intimate scenes whatsoever for you to watch, but I’m excited to see a series focused on the sex industry and I want to apologise for the person I’ll become when this is released lmao. I can’t wait for more information to be released, this along with GMMTV’s Only Friends are gonna be my upcoming guilty pleasure dramas!!

Isbanky, Mos, Cooheart, Frank, Longshi, Yoon, Poppy, Art and James all together is going to be incredible! To be honest I didn’t like The Luminous Solution at all so I’m not bothered about Gun or Kacha and haven’t seen GenY for Dun. It’ll be cool to see James as we haven’t seen him since Don’t Say No, and with the uncertainty around Just Say Yes as to whether it’s actually going to be made it’ll be cool to see him here. I can’t wait for this to be released, I’ll definitely be watching!
