The age of consent is 12 so it’s not legally classed as rape, but as a relationship over the age of consent laws but under legal age. It’s hard to fight for jail time unless it’s the parents that actually take the case to court and there have been cases like that which have won. I’m not actually sure of the situation, like whether their parents knew or anything, we don’t even know their age, only that they were 15 or younger when it started. I was quite surprised because I was having a conversation with someone that lives in the Philippines and apparently even though the consent age laws are still low, people like Darryl are still known as pedophiles.

My ratings rose from 9.5 to a full 10/10. That episode was just perfect with a good open ending but enough suspense to draw people in for the next season. I remember when I first heard of My Engineer and I decided to watch it only to pass the time, I never expected it to be this good and I would actually add this into my list of top 10 favourite BL’s I’ve seen. Great job to all the cast, I’ll officially be eagerly awaiting season 2! <3

I understand the tension because it’s likely he’s in love with Pan and now she’s in his brothers body, so he’s probably confused, but it’s still kinda uncomfortable.
Okay, I actually didn’t expect to like that episode so much but I was surprised. Watching her struggle to become Kim was quite amusing but the tension between Kim and Khet was a little weird as they are supposed to be siblings. Next episode looks promising too, so I think it’s fair to say this is a lot better than I expected it to be (I thought it would be a train wreck) so I’ll keep watching this and hope the ending is good enough. Also I love Jennie so much, and the character she plays is awesome <3!
Didn't he say that a second season would depend on the response (views) to the first? Or did any news come afterwards?
They analysed the responses to the first 5 episodes and announced that season 2 has been booked, meaning first they need to write it, but if it’s booked it means the cast members will be renewed to come back for season 2. It does still need to be written so it probably won’t be for a while but I’m happy just knowing it will happen.
To anyone that’s finished it, how major is the romance between Lu Yao and Bai You Ning? Originally I stopped in the first few episodes because she really annoyed me and I couldn’t make it through knowing that couple were going to end up together, but if the romance is only a minor part of the story I may think about picking it back up.
