Ah Sean, Episode 8 and 14 are in my personal record book of 'epic heart flutter inducers'. Some of the best romantic…
It is just the sweetest, phlrxd - even with the second last scene in the end credits where they make a love heart together (it changes sometimes), and the song โLove Will Find A Wayโ is one of the best I have heard in a long time.
Here we are at the halfway mark. In the lead up, Ep 14 was blistering. With Ep 15, I thought the change up was done well, but Xiao Zhao is no longer cool in my opinion. Still on with the show and hereโs to our most amazing couple ๐
The minimalist approach re Grid is excellent. I think it is proof that you donโt need crammed storylines, longer episodes and over the top effects to make a show โa must see.โ
We did have some thought provoking moments during Ep6 - the hints given by the Ghost re the use of, or how โtimeโ works, are classic and intriguing. Other connections between the main leads also seem to be firming up nicely as well.
However, as much as I enjoyed Ep6, the exaggerated moments during the interrogation sequence were pure dramatic licence, but I guess we know kdramas tend to do that as a way of achieving emotional impact or buy in.
Overall, some very good acting going on and, for me, the events are happening at a good pace. Do the Major, the Director, the Minister and the ex-husband need a good slap and takedown - absolutely ๐ Lets hope our detective and hero have the last laugh in the remaining episodes ahead.
After four episodes I find myself quite intrigued with what is going on. Show does the secretive government organisation tone well and the acting is on point re the characters involved in its activities. This is not about being flashy or heroic, itโs about how solid, hum drum routines unearth key clues and moments. No doubt at some point everything will intersect and be calamitous!
I am glad I got to watch VoL 2. Despite the machine subs, the big heart of this drama did shine through and the main couple were fabulous. I also liked the mum and dad very much. I found the other couples a little up and down, but they had some great moments. The producers want to keep making VoL each year, obviously with new stories and a different cast each time. I look forward to Iit ๐
Do u need vpn to watch in YouTube? I search but don't c anything just clips n trailers
Yes, you do need a VPN. Marcus makes a suggestion what to do if you donโt have one, or if you do, which country to set it too, if it doesnโt do it automatically (at about the 2 minute mark): https://youtu.be/_ziPWGOI81c
So, I have completed the first five episodes on the official YouTube channel, which has the good eng subs. In short: it is well and truly worth the wait for each episode to drop on this channel.
What more can I say? I am enjoying the story so far. Itโs a good cast. The attention to detail is superb and I love the costuming. As others have said, you will literally put on weight watching the food being prepared.
As for the acting, there are good performances all round. Itโs a pure delight to let show unfold at its own pace and just absorb or infuse what is happening - just like you would when preparing any fine dish. The proof is definitely in the eating ๐๐๐
