Ep 36 - I wasn’t anywhere near as invested in this episode as I have been with the others. It was really well done, but I think I’m a bit worn out by some of the storylines.
I now find myself more interested in what the future holds for Soo Jae and Yoo Na than I do the others. I don’t mind if they end up together or not, but they do both deserve some level of happiness.
“It’s Beautiful Now” keeps rolling out those little nuggets every now and then like in ep 34 with the salt exorcism, the charm of the youngest son and the way “dolt” stirs up his mum 😂
Show was watchable, but well below what it could have been. In essence, a pot boiler with makjang tendencies. It had a good cast, but the writing and directing let them down. However, I agree with everyone else here - SSR did a wonderful job as Jayden Lee. Somehow, he rose above it all 😊
Thank god for ep 30 being so good. There were some wonderful moments throughout with some good acting as well. So much so, it more than made up for the atrocious behaviour of a certain Aunty. We also got to see the gentler side of the mums too. I did come close to dropping show at the end of ep 29. It was also proof yet again, don’t be fooled by the previews.
Ep 14 - This drama has a lot going for it. Joe Chen as Dugu Rou Nan continues to be an absolute delight. I find Si Da very underdone as a character - very wooden, in fact. Other characters are good and Ji Mo, despite his irrational outbursts at times, is a good foil to DRN.
At the halfway mark: overall show is solid. The acting is fine, story elements are good. If there is an issue, it’s the directing and editing. Let’s see what the second half brings 😊
I thought Ep 5 was good and Ep 6 was solid. Show is steady and interesting. Although there are better shows out there at the moment, I find myself compelled to keep watching DL as soon as the episodes come out 😊
What a journey it has been! Good relationships and friendships and interesting legal dynamics. It did wander off a bit in the second half and certain matters and characters faded out towards the end. A worthwhile watch, one or two episodes at a time 😊
