You didn't insult the drama or anyone and u are also being respectful sharing your opinion so it's nice of u. I feel u for not being able to enjoy the drama that has the actors u love.

The fact that some opinion here is being taken too seriously while some people actually enjoy leaving unnecessary harsh comment on the drama they don't like knowing fully well that it could trigger those sensitive people is quite concerning for them but funny to me. It feels like they are interest in each other but pretend to hate for the sake of interaction like they don't have anything else good to do. Then, there are weird people and trolls that go around messing with people behind their keyboard. Don't mind my English.

It is not bad at all. Not everyone likes it so staying between 8.5/10 and 9/10 is fine. It doesn't matter that much.

Seems like u had quite detail understanding of how all this works in Korea but still I don't quite understand how u think the high viewership rating is not great achievement especially QOT with average rating around 15% which probably is the third highest and its highest single episode viewers count was also around 6 millions (2nd of all time?). If these are not great achievement then many previous considered hit dramas in the past with high rating below this drama were failure? We are talking about in Korea only on how they consider if a drama is a hot and success one based on how many people are willing turn in to watch it in real time on TV which I think is very hard nowadays.
If u compare to Free TV nowadays with rating barely surpass 5% 10%💀, QOT was that big that even after its end, those 20% didn't really translate to any other shows but just disappeared. Beside TV rating, it also did well on OTT platform like Netflix and TVING (heard it helped break record beating Netflix for the first time in usage hours or sth?)

So for u, how should a cable TV perform to considered as success and had great achievement?
The drama has to air on Free TV to reach more random Korean to have potential great achievement?

Yes, for International level success, QOT did well too with viewed hours count or views on Netflix and drama's influence spread across Asia which is also a good thing but for a TV drama, doing good in its home country is priority and matter more for the drama and the actors. If u are KSH fan, u know how QOT helped him get even hotter along side his costar KJW being the hottest actress at the moment in Korea because of the rating and popularity of the drama in their own country. Sorry for my bad English.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think you mix and compare pay to watch cable TV rating with free or public TV rating which should never be in the same conversation. Public or free TV channel had bigger audience so it is normal to hit 20% 30% rating if it was a hit in the past but now even those TV struggle to surpass double digit rating.

I don't remember any single episode of cable TV drama had more than 40% viewership rating but Free or public TV had. Only TWOTM has the highest single episode rating in cable TV history around 28% and even its average rating is also high because it's consistently high from the early episode with the help of pandemic during its airing so it is very unlikely that any new drama will be able to beat that record lol.
Having a single episode surpassing double digit rating in cable TV is already a big success in its home country not to mention it is probably harder to get high rating nowadays with OTT platform being popular.

Where and how did u get to know that number from? and so what about other millions or billions around the world that like the drama? isn't it the reason why u feel QOT didn't deserve that much love and criticize to balance the drama because u don't think the same, right?

delulu people or whatever u called agreeing that the storyline is not a strong hold of this drama doesn't necessarily mean they think it is bad, it just doesn't hold up to its own standard compared to other aspect of the whole drama, and it is mainly just because of a few episodes plot.

I always respect those with honest criticism, but I saw that u dropped the drama, right? So how do u know they didn't show the progress and communication later? I am not saying the writing of this drama is good from start to the end (there are parts I think is weak) but for me, a good writing doesn't always need the character to talk or explain their development with context on screen, it's the subtle change in their behavior and expression you could feel and understand while watching. That is what people can't stop praising the actors for exactly doing just that.

Overcoming TV viewership rating in Korea doesn't necessarily mean QOT is better than anything so you better not expect any impressive story telling or overall writing quality upgrade from the writer herself but it had its own charm.

Everyone contributed to the drama but there is no denying that QOT is loved by many people to the point of breaking record mainly because of the lead couple with their character dynamic and love story of how they develope, break, and get back together. There are quite good real life lessons that different age of viewers can feel, experience, learn and relate while watching the drama.

The best thing is the lead couple portrayed by KSH and KJW, two individuals gorgeous and talent actors you could find to play as married couple. They brought out Baek Hyunwoo and Hong Hae In to life with their acting perfectly that u can't help but fall in love. On top of their acting and visual, the chemistry is on a different level you used to see on screen from 2 actors resulted viewers anticipation for their story every episode despite some flaw writing.

This is my personal opinion and it might sound exaggerated because everyone has different view and experience. Ignore my English.

It just means u like to spend your time doing better thing lol but for haters it's their priority to get engagement and attention from the fandom with their provocative and dishonest opinion but later act like victims so if u guys care enough, it will just motivate them to continue doing what they like, and the circle continues...everyone is not happy, and time is wasted😅
