It almost feels like at some point of the second half, BaekHong couple storyline became a spinoff that merge in a family drama. To think about it, the reason why some people found some scene unnecessary, and boring is because our main couple was always out there but isolated and clueless from everything happened on another main focus storyline. Even when they chose to go with Family plot, they give too much power for the villain to do whatever they want first while the Queen side always caught off guard and have no real power or control to counter except for Hyunwoo who seems to always has solution for everything lol. It became a little frustrating to watch when they have shown us the great potential for 4/5 of the whole drama just to unfold it in a traditional way at the end.

The more I think about how greater this show could have been if some aspect of this drama was handled better, the more upset and frustrated I feel toward the writer's choice of plot point.
I normally would rate it at best an 8.5 but I can't appreciate some aspect of this show enough that I want to give it a 9....gave it a 9.5 eventually because I am soft for this show.

Maybe something unexpectedly happened. If I have to guess, it is production cost and the need to add more episodes to fit all the story which exceed far from the planed budget. There is also news about KSH reduced his salary for QOT. I feel like the last few episodes writing got readjust to fix the problem. Alot of intentional piece from previous episodes were left behind and never put back together properly.
I don't know if it is common for Kdrama but they were still shooting episode 16 in February which is just 2 weeks before the delayed broadcast date. Just my speculation.
No idea why only 2 bodyguards were presented when It was clear before the departure that 3 were not enough.
