WTF is going on with the age difference in casting choices? It’s frustrating. Why couldn’t they have cast the actress playing Kaew to play Bua instead of casting a minor in such role? It really makes you wonder where are the parents when these kids are being cast in these situations?
I also think the Thai entertainment industry has a concerning tendency to hypersexualize women, which is troubling enough when it involves adults. But when it comes to minors, that’s a whole different level. Take Denise for example, if you look at her Instagram and the other photos circulating online, it's disturbing. I have younger cousins who are around the same age, and while it’s natural for kids their age to explore their sexuality, the difference is that my cousins' peers are following them. This young actress, however, is attracting a much older and more diverse crowd due to the sheer exposure she's getting in the entertainment industry, which seems inappropriate. Especially after what happened with KSR in the K industry!
There’s a serious issue with how children are being portrayed, and it's disheartening to see the industry continue to profit off this.
Why are Chinese short dramas on an implied sibling/half siblings/sibling like relationships? FZX is doing a second drama with such a plotline? He was in love with his sister's replica in My Lethal Man.
10 shows a year is VERY conservative, it's probably closer to 30 minimum. I've already seen them in 5 dramas that…
Oh yeah, the above is a very super conservative estimate. I am pretty sure even within a single drama how often they are featured, they are probably charged more than $50K
The Kopiko marketing budget must be through the roof!!!
So the yearly revenue of their parent company is $219 MM dollars between 60 brands sold in multiple countries. Typical margin for CPG food business ranges from 7% - 12% on average unless you are a cola company or water company, so I am guessing their annual profit is around $15.33MM to $26.28MM.
A spot on a Kdrama starts from $10,000 and goes upto $500,000 (older data). So I am assuming they are paying at least between $20,000 - $50,000 depending on the drama.
Since I see them pretty much everywhere, I am assuming they are featured in at least 10 Kdrama/year, so they are spending $200,000 to $500,000 per year AT LEAST if not more. So they are spending roughly 1.3% to 3.6% of their profits on these adverts for TV alone (single channel). And this is just one country, not sure how much they are spending in their home country of Indonesia and others if they sell elsewhere.
I hope they making back all that money lol. I see them everywhere.
Thought it was only me that saw that childishness.
Keep going, bully. Your desperate worship of someone who doesn’t even know you exist is downright pathetic. Are you this lonely all the time, or is this a special occasion? Maybe try a shred of self-respect instead of begging everyone for validation for your choices in life? LOL
Thought it was only me that saw that childishness.
i really think a few of her fans in this comment section are actually crazy the way they are bullying me. I wouldnt be surprised if they go to some illegal lengths to defend their favorite actress and deserve a place in mental institution.
Thought it was only me that saw that childishness.
She wasnt this annoying in MJTY. It is fair to expect improvement from actors and critique when they dont. It is crazy and fanatic to bully people into changing their opinion coz they dont match the fan's review. And no one even mentioned her voice in this thread, her acting was mentioned, you are bringing a different topic to this thread.
Thought it was only me that saw that childishness.
If you block some of the fanatic crazy fans, you will see that a lot more people agree with you. The fans are spamming the comment section and bullying anyone that criticizes the FL.
I want to watch drama in peace but trolls are losing their minds because positive reviews is much louder than…
She isn’t the only person in this drama lol. And now I hate her character even more because of you fanatic fans who do nothing bully people who have different opinion than yours.
I don't understand your definition of a fanatic fan lol if you want to fill the comments with negativity then…
Honestly, at this point, you are a better opponent in this debate than several other people on this thread who are outright resorting to bullying and harassment. And I am sorry as well that I got carried away and used problematic language towards you.
Also, I AM tired repeating myself when I say I dont hate YSX, I actually thought she was decent in MJTY which is another drama of her that I have watched. Just her portrayal in drama is problematic to me.
I was pleasantly surprised by the slight improvement in Angelababy's acting and expressions. Not many Chinese actresses make any improvements in their acting or expressions once they go even a little mainstream.
