Title S Line
There must not be anything wrong but nobody would be willing to date someone who has so many lines. Hearing about…
For some people it makes sense not to be in LTR like the detective. Also what is to say circumstances dont change for such people? Dating them is a choice and I get not many people would want to date someone with so many lines but no one is being forced to. The people who can see the lines can just mind their own business like the main lead does and not go around doling out "justice" like the helmet guy did.

The half circle only exists when the current partner is in the vicinity. If they arent, all your lines go to the sky.

I hope they eventually explore this topic with more nuance. There's nothing inherently wrong with having multiple partners, as long as everything is consensual and no one is being dishonest or cheated on. That said, the glasses only show you lines connecting people, but not the context behind those connections. How are you supposed to tell the difference between past relationships, or current ones? As for the detective, I completely understand why he’d avoid a long term relationship. He has a niece and a father with dementia who rely on him. Choosing not to bring someone else into what he sees as a life already filled with heavy responsibilities is actually thoughtful and self aware. But again, the glasses completely miss that kind of nuance. They reduce everything to lines, without capturing the complexity of people’s lives and choices. And both people we have seen so far using them have been judging people solely on the number of lines.

Exactly! Like how often do you remember what people look like, even if they are regulars and the bartender sees so many people everyday. Even for regulars, most people often forget minute details or things like that arent mentioned because you make assumptions.

Title Hunter with a Scalpel Spoiler
Being revealed as this serial killer’s estranged daughter would absolutely ruin her career, but I think a mix…
I get where you're coming from, and honestly, I do agree with parts of what you said, especially about trauma and how overwhelming it can be. But I still think we’re mixing up trauma with plain bad writing. Yes, PTSD and childhood abuse can make someone act impulsively, even irrationally, especially in highly stressful situations. But at some point, even people with serious trauma start noticing patterns and trying to adapt. That’s basic survival instinct. We’ve seen her go through the same thing multiple times now, and yet she keeps making the same reckless decisions without any kind of learning curve or reflection. She’s supposed to be a doctor. She’s highly educated and clearly smart, so why does she keep acting like she has no clue what she’s doing?

My biggest beaf: Trauma doesn’t make you dumb. It might cause hesitation or panic, but it also makes people more alert, not less. Survivors of trauma often become hyper aware of potential threats and I am saying this as someone with PTSD. And yet she continues to ignore the adopted daughter, even after being attacked by her more than once. That’s not trauma logic, that’s just lazy writing. You’d think after the first time, she’d be on high alert. But nope. She keeps underestimating her. It makes no sense, especially when she knows what her father is capable of.

I also don’t buy the idea that she’s trying to protect people by isolating herself anymore. That would make sense early on, sure. But now that people have literally died because she’s keeping everything to herself, it just feels selfish and careless. If she truly wanted to stop him and prevent more deaths, she’d involve the right people in a smarter way. Instead, she keeps pushing everyone away and going at it alone, like she’s on some personal revenge mission, and it’s getting others killed in the process. That’s not noble. That’s reckless.

And if the writers are trying to hint that she’s becoming like her father, leaning into that sociopathic side, then they’re not doing a good job showing it. We’d be seeing her become colder, more detached, maybe starting to lose her empathy. But that’s not what’s happening. She’s just all over the place, emotional, panicky, lashing out, and not in a way that makes sense for someone either breaking down or becoming more like him. It just feels like they want her to be tragic, but they also want her to be smart, and they can’t seem to balance it.

Honestly, her actions just feel inconsistent. Like, I’m not expecting her to suddenly become a perfect mastermind, but I do expect her to grow at least a little. Right now, it’s like she’s stuck in the same loop, and it’s frustrating to watch. Trauma might explain the first bad decision, maybe even the second. But by the third time, she’s just being reckless, and that’s on her, not just her past.

Bottom line is Yes, trauma is powerful, and yes, this situation is beyond terrifying. But at some point, she needs to act like someone who’s learned something. Otherwise, it’s not character development, it’s just lazy storytelling hiding behind trauma as an excuse.

Sorry but I still disagree. My point still stands, repeating the same thing expecting different results isn't cleverness. Its been three times now she has done things impulsively and regretted it. Also if she wants to pretend to cooperate with him, why the hell keep attacking him to show him she isn't on the same team? And now she possibly lost a hand.
Also can we discuss how she keeps ignoring the adopted daughter as a variable? I can see it happening the first time when she was tasered, she could've thought 'oh what could a kid possibly do to me?' but the second time, and then the third time?
Also, being associated with her dad might ruin her reputation but being an actual murderer is a greater ruiner of reputation IMO.

The Fl's character isn't making sense. They are trying to portray her as complex character but everyone has a reason for the way they behave, whereas her actions are random and not well thought out. She has been so impulsive, I understand if its once or twice given her history with her father but its the third time now.
And what was the point of co-operating with your dad? Or even pretending to? That was such a dumb move by any standards. If she did it to hide her real identity from her current life, it still doesn't make sense. She was a child when she helped her dad clean up and a helpless accessory. What she did in the last few episodes makes her a willing adult murderer. Like girl, use your brain for reals, for someone who is doctor you are acting too dumb.

Personally, I feel uneasy. Even though its a happy ending here, I cant seem to shake off the fact that WW II is right around the corner and it wasnt a very good time for the men in military.

In the real world, believe it or not there are so many different types of police officers and yes even hot blooded…
I know bad cops exists! But they don’t go against people with backing unscathed or without losing their jobs. No matter how you twist it, his character just doesn’t make sense, in a drama or realistic sense. And again, that’s on the writers. Not on the actor.
If an NYPD cop went against a politician or a gang member with strong backing, even the union would kick him to the curb real quick. And NYPD has one of the strongest union and they protect even their bad eggs with a vengeance.

He has punch drunk syndrome. That’s the answer for all your paragraphs
That’s also another supporting argument to everything I said, he shouldn’t be a police officer if he ain’t right in the head! He is sticking around so far coz of his own selfish reasons putting himself, his team and civilians in danger!

This drama is getting really hard to watch. The storyline feels like it's dragging, and neither the villain nor the protagonists are particularly clever. The villain keeps provoking Dong Ju, and Dong Ju falls for it every single time. It's become a repetitive cycle.
A lot of people argue that Dong Ju isn’t supposed to be a perfect lead, and that’s fine. But I think they’re missing an important point - context matters. Dong Ju isn’t just some hot headed rando off the street, he's a police officer. That changes everything. His impulsiveness and lack of control don’t align with the role he’s supposed to play. If he were just a regular civilian, his behavior might make more sense. But as a cop, especially one without connections, being this reckless isn’t just unrealistic, it’s implausible.
Even in the real world, no matter how corrupt a department is, someone like Dong Ju wouldn't last. He’s a liability with no backing and too unpredictable, plus he is going after people with power and influence.
This isn’t necessarily the actor’s fault, but the writing is definitely weak. The character doesn’t make sense in his professional context, and that’s on the writers.

Yeah it sounds like they took all the plot points from everywhere and jammed them together. Some of their conversations were so cringey, the FL is literally a doormat for the most part. And the ML gaslights so much.

Drake really likes his stepmom and she likes him too although I think she is like 4-5 years older than him. But then she meets his dad and sees she has a better future with Drake's father due to him being rich so she becomes his fiancee and is gonna marry him soon. But she is still jealous of all the girls Drake interacts with and they have kissed several times so far.
Its unclear from the novel how exactly it started or maybe I just dont remember.

Title Reborn Spoiler
I am suspecting her sister had a reputation based on what little is shown of her so far. She was definitely hanging out with shady characters and it looks like she had ambitions of being a movie start or something. In small towns, all of this is frowned upon. Things have improved significantly but back in the days, women in movie/modeling industry definitely did not have good experiences and were mostly suspected to be promiscuous to get the roles.
I also think she probably died of AIDS or something (whether it was transmitted via intimacy or through hospital) and parents really want to erase that part of family history given it would "sully" the reputation for the rest of the siblings. Also given the time period they are in, it makes a lot of sense for AIDS to be such a taboo. Especially in smaller towns like theirs.

Haha, I also started watching for Rabin, I think he is getting better with every role. But after I read the story, planning to drop this one.
I will keep monitoring the comments, to see if they change the story from original to make it less icky! I know a lot of people might not find some of these things as repulsive but I personally cant take it.
