Now that I watched ep 2, I wonder why no Catholics got mad at this drama for portraying a Catholic priest who suggests killing a living person by slitting their throat because they're gonna turn into a zombie and it's too late to save them. No priest who really follows God's words would suggest murdering someone, no matter the situation. So, that's also a huge distortion of reality, not to mention hurting someone's religious feelings.
Oh, wait, I know why Catholics didn't get mad.
Because this drama is fucking fiction and they can distinguish literary fiction from reality.
I wonder what would have happened if previous controversial dramas like MLSHR and CLOY are aired at this toxic…
Now that you mention it, I wonder if Moon Lovers would've gotten the backlash too since it's a remake of a Chinese drama, and Knets hate the Chinese lol.
Whoever chose the cast must've been like, "Give me the best actors who are available at the moment" because holy shit, everyone is so fucking good. Even Choi Sung Eun, a rookie actress, is very skilled and amazing.
The funniest thing is, Koreans want to show and promote their culture overseas (be it through k-pop or k-dramas even), and they want to show that they're better than the Chinese and that their culture is different and shouldn't be mixed up. However, by behaving like they did with "Joseon Exorcist", and considering that now they want to mess with "Snowdrop", Koreans are only shooting themselves in the foot because some international fans are getting fed up with their mess and turn to watching Chinese dramas instead of theirs lmfao. Oh, the irony. I love it.
How come this only has 8.3 ratings here? This drama deserves at least 8.6 or higher.
It's MDL, what did you expect? Even the shittiest drama can have high ratings solely because a hot oppar stars in it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And truly good dramas tend not to have high ratings because the story lacks romance and/or there's no handsome oppar that fits into the Korean beauty standards. (Yes, I saw some say that the male leads in "Beyond Evil" are ugly af and that's why some don't want to watch this drama.)
I'm not Korean, so on the one hand who am I to judge and say that the Korean shouldn't be offended by the inaccurate historical facts this drama supposedly presented. On the other hand, in my eyes this whole situation is ridiculous, but I also kind of understand where they're coming from, especially since the tension between S. Korea and China has been growing lately ever since China claimed that kimchi is their invention (or something like that lol).
I bet they soul-switched (something similar I've seen in the Kdrama "Born again").It's not just from the brain…
"He said his heart is beating fast whenever he looks at Choi Hong Joo" Well, it's just a preview, and in kdrama previews they often mismatch the voiceover with the scenes shown on the screen to make you anticipate the next episode more. So maybe he said all that in a completely different situation, but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He said to JBR, "Are you a genius? How do you know what angle it was placed in?" My guess is, the accident "activated" the genius gene in JBR, which is similar to the psychopath gene.
