You’re so right. I didn’t even notice all. The mom storyline in general is the arc I dislike the most so I’m…
It gives me freeloader vibes. But then again I was thought from an early age that taking more than you could eat is considered really bad behavior. My grandmother used to say to me as a child (on a very disapproving tone) when I put more food on my plate then I could eat: Where your eyes bigger then your stomach? The ordering culture in Chinese drama’s (never been in real life) is really strange to me.
Agreed. Although I’m still enjoying the show and looking forward to next eps (I think mainly because I’m waiting…
I think that’s why I dropped it. I remember the drama well (after I had to look it up). Enjoyed the character development of FL. But sometimes when I’m late to the party I read comments here and I think I got discouraged after reading they got together in the very very end and so I dropped it.
I hear you! I’m the same still loving the series. Especially while watching. But I can’t turn of the rational thoughts anymore. But still loving it! It just could have been better!
I don’t watch the previews. Makes me want to see more in a bad way. But is she going to be promoted again? I saw some scene on socials that tomorrow is gone be D-day for spice. But I also saw influencer ex on what seem a rooftop. I don’t no the sequel of events but if he is going to leave her hanging again for the ex it’s going to be hard to have everybody still on board of the Miyu/Ji Feng ship. I think ex got his portion of karma. I don’t want him seriously ill. I think him ending alone and miserable will be satisfying. For some reason I hate mistress even more. While I’m usually more declined to put the blame on the cheater I think she is worse here. The lack of empathy is bone thrilling. The way see didn’t even want to see her child but wanted to change hospitals right away. She’s horrifying.

Yeah you’re right. The SML and also the SFL should have been settled with only 9 eps to go… I can’t remember another drama where the confession or the first kiss was this late (75% in!).
Not a lot happening today but still a nice watch. I really like Tan Jr. The way he gently is there, looks at her…
Yes, for a regular room. So that’s where my logic leads me to a executive room with discount is about a regular room full price. But could be wrong. Anyways they have the means to stay there multiple days. If I would I have to give up my savings or eat only bread and ramen for a good stretch of time 😂🫣😉
If you think, like I do, that the plot has devolved into infuriatingly stupid, you should see the Douban rating…
Agreed. Although I’m still enjoying the show and looking forward to next eps (I think mainly because I’m waiting on the romance) the show started out much stronger. The little holes in the beginning of the show were easily overlooked (by me anyways). But the giant sinkholes like today’s topic are harder to swallow. More on that see my comment above as reaction to Misery of Miyu).
An 38 eps drama is really hard to write so I don’t blame the writer alone. There are more people on a production team then a writer alone.
For me the whole ordeal was not misery but service taken out of context. The whole scene was unrealistic, poor writing at best: - Miyu going after a garbage truck in a taxi - The garbage collector willing to dump the garbage on the pavement - Miyu finding the blue bags and instead of taking him to a dry place dumping them on the heavy flooded ground to search the content wich is a sensitive hearing aid. - The garbage collector saying: o just leave all the garbage there I will clean it up - Ji Feng, who in the sequence of scenes knew earlier about the trash being collected, did nothing to stop the truck but searched for Miyu. When he heard she went after te truck he magically knew where she was. - Miyu looking for a bike in the trashed bike pile to assume to go back to the hotel because her phone was dead. - Miyu fainting in Ji Feng’s arms because of some rain (again).
Her misery was in the earlier episodes. This just doesn’t make sense. It almost tops the storyline of the leaching mother hired as a high paid chef with hotel room supported by daughter who is highly disrespected en still paying of her mothers loan. For me that’s the most ridiculous storyline so far.

Agree, but I think they could afford a regular room at full price. And that’s still a five star room. So I don’t think they are poor, the are fairly well off. And again the content of your wallet doesn’t determine your manners.

@Tatte145: why hate? He isn’t evil is he? Or the third party? And he doesn’t force himself on her to spend time together. The two things he lacks are:- She doesn’t have feelings for him. But she never told him that. So fair game for him.- He is to accommodating for her. He worships the ground she walks on en will smooth the path for her. She doesn’t need that. She needs someone to help her grow. And in comes our ML! But in all fairness except bringing her to hospital and stroking her hand while unconscious (wich she doesn’t know) he is really hesitant.I’m still team Kenny G but he has to take firm action and soon! ( I know tomorrow 😉)

@vidalme01: True, but she is on the executive floor. So 50% is still a lot of money. Maybe even enough for a normal room at full price. So they are well off enough. But money doesn’t buy you manners.
