I like that it’s very relatable not some crazy over the top plot lines
Which honestly worries me about what's to come, in a "calm before the storm" kind of way. The way things have been moving so far (all couples already matched up, and know how they feel about each other at episode 12), it feels like a 20-something episode show at most, leaving almost 30 episodes of...something. Sure, there are some side plots to resolve, but not nearly enough to fill the void, suggesting there's gonna be a bunch of family disapproval, misunderstandings, breaking up and getting back together,..., and I don't think I can take months of that, especially since, outside of the 10 or so characters I find interesting (5 if not counting the main couples), the others vary between meh and rage-skipping their scenes.
Still, can't be worse than Young Lady and Gentleman ;).
So. Am I correct in assuming that Hyun Mi Rae's mother is the long-lost daughter of the brothers' grandfather, making the middle couple kinda-sorta-related-but-not-really, since their father was adopted by their grandfather meaning no blood relation, and the mother being given up meaning no legal relation?
Also, if I understood it correctly, the grandfather's younger sister just put his daughter up for adoption then moved to the US? Was that a thing in post-war South Korea?
i agree with you!!! dropped after ep 7... AND NOW AM HOOKED ON CRAZY LOVE!!
@JUNGSOOJUNG1582 That's why I wrote "in the making". Because it hasn't started yet, but the way the main couple are written, it feels like it will soon. Also, calm down, it's just a TV show.
@Savageaf Do you know what "in the making" means? It's on my Currently Watching list, which you could've easily seen just by checking my profile.

Serious question; why? Crazy Love feels like watching domestic abuse in the making; the ML is a selfish and egotistical asshole, and the FL is a doormat who literally needed to be told that she's dying for her to try and stand up for herself yet she still couldn't do it.
i really love this drama and i will def come to rewatch it in the future but... what the heck is the ending? to…
They didn't even show the second couple telling everyone they were engaged...
I expected the ending to suck, what with this being a Kdrama and all, but damn, I didn't expect it to suck so hard. Last minute possible death, separation & timeskip all in one; no payoff nor epilogue; after almost 10 episodes of minimalist tropes, they went full retard and had both couples' rich parents be against them (the 2nd FL's father I get, he was an asshole, but the 1st ML's grandfather felt completely out of character),... Add that to the fact that almost 10 episodes (first 9 and like 90% of episode 10) of the show were by far my favourite Kdrama (would've been my first 10/10 rating), and the difference is just too much. Let me put it this way; I rewatched the show twice while waiting for episodes 9 and 10, and once while waiting for episodes 11 and 12 to come out, but after seeing the ending, I don't really wanna see it again. The ending has utterly spoiled the show for me.
They didnt kill the ML...he fell down the bridge while trying to save the homeless on his own. The FL asked him…
I didn't say they killed him, I said they accidentally almost killed him, which they did, by interfering and distracting him, thereby giving the homeless man time to climb over the fence. Now it's entirely possible that if they didn't interfere, the homeless man would still jump and take the ML with him, and it's also entirely possible that the ML would talk him out of it, but that's wandering into what-if territory, which is pointless. We can only go on what we know, which is that the ML was trying to stop the homeless man from committing suicide, the FL showed up and interfered, and as a result, the ML almost died and ended up in a coma.
Well, to throw my 2 cents in regarding the first two episodes; I've no idea whether it was intentional or not, but the FL is a bully, plain and simple. Sure, it's for a(n arguably) good cause (suicide prevention), and her changing her ways will probably be a major part of the plot, but that doesn't change the fact that she is a bully, that first impressions are a thing, and that the first case after the team is assembled is a victim of bullying being bullied by the FL.
My biggest issue with the show though, is how the ML joins this organisation in the first place; They accidentally almost kill him and cause him to be in a coma for 3 years, then as their "compensation", he has to work to get his coma shortened to 6 months.
I don't know if it's just me, but her voice sounds amazing. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's not as high-pitched/squeaky as other Korean actresses seem to be, and is really smooth.
Ughh. We were so close, just 3 episodes to go without screwing up and this would've been by far the best fluffy romcom. Now all I can hope for is that the cliff it jumped off of isn't a bottomless chasm.
It would've been much, much better if it were just the kids with the roses and the ML at the end with a rose and ring. No staff, no fake band, no spotlight.
Though honestly, the proposal was just a drop in the ocean of problems this show had.
YALL they had twins! Here is an extra scene: https://program.kbs.co.kr/2tv/drama/youngladygentleman/mobile/board.html?smenu=108745&bbs_loc=T2021-0241-01-29937,read,,13,827696
Could anyone give a short summary? From context, I gather new shop location, FL's uncle's has a new partner, FL's birth mother's will reading, ML gives shares to sister, and twins.
Also, why was this not in the regular episode? 52 episodes and they couldn't even include the 4 minutes of epilogue? I live for that shit, dammit :s.
This was a very uncomfortable watch for me. The FL was so superstitious that it strayed into mental illness territory (the only way to describe someone who wouldn't even look at their comatose sibling for years, and is willing to sleep with anyone born in a specific year, just because a fortune teller told them to). I get superstition (I'm not superstitious myself, but I can understand people might need something to feel like it's possible to somewhat control life, like with religion), but this show just took it way too far.
I don't know how the story was trying to portray the FL, but to me, she felt like an extremely vulnerable woman who has suffered terribly in her life, only to fall into the clutches of a conman, and honestly, that's how cults get started.
Anyone else feel like the beginning was such a good set up for Kim Seon Ho and Chae Soobin? Then there was a sudden…
It definitely felt like the 1stFL/2ndML setup was being pushed hard, and then fizzled out in like half an episode (to no complaints from me, since I seriously disliked the 2ndML before his apology).
The setup that I regret not being true was the 2ndFL being the 1stML's half-sister. It felt like everything pointed towards it; she was super attached to 1stML since they met, their relationship was extremely platonic even for a Kdrama romcom, 2ndFL's mother being the head of a big business rather than the traditional male CEOs could be explained by the 1stML's mother running off with his father's money, 1stML's mother also being in the food business would be classic "it's a small world" writing,...
Wait does anyone rmb that 1 ghost that has a dark aura to him?? so what happened actually y does he have a dark…
IIRC that was the guy on the motorcycle that cut the ML off and caused him to get into an accident. And I think he only had that dark smoke around him for like 2 scenes, and afterwards he was normal, with no explanation given as to why (at least not one I can remember).
And yeah, it would take a special sort of effort to drop down to YLAG's level (I mean, back to back amnesias, who does that?) :p.

At least with NJ there's a chance it could work on the other hand.
