I honestly don’t understand where the impression came from that the ML was treating him like a puppet, when…
Yes he stormed in there and was about to commit murder for his nephew !!

That is so true because if you realized whenever he’s sad, upset, lonely, or scared he always calls his uncle and his uncle always come running no matter what. And that is the exact reason why he abdicated the throne to his uncle and not follow his mom selfish advice because he knew his mom was wrong and that’s not what he wanted all he wanted to do was be a kid .

But his uncle taking is thrown is traumatic? And not his mother barbecuing his dad alive is not ? Lmao 🤣 Ok if you don’t want someone else’s opinion how bout keeping it to yourself and not posting it on a public forum because it seems as if only you can have opinions.
Have you ever heard of agree to disagree? Yeah let’s do that.

Thank you because I was wondering where in that show did they see him going to school playing like any other kid . All he did was go to school and them kids was literally walking on egg shells around him . The poor kid was literally sad after leaving school saying he wished he could go playing like them other kids but he has to go study again after leaving school that’s no way normal . This is why he loves his uncle so much because he’s the only one that makes time to play with him .

No, it did. You mentioned that the male lead manipulated his nephew, but I believe he didn’t. He was the one who stood up for him whenever his mother pushed him out there to handle business as if he were an adult. The male lead was always there for him when he was struggling. I never said that he wasn’t manipulated at all. His grandfather and his mother are the ones doing it, and that was the only thing I disagreed with you about until your response.

Yes, he did die before he abdicated the throne. I agree with that, but I can also argue that it still holds weight because it has the emperor’s personal seal. What I’m saying is that if he truly wanted to be emperor in the first place, he would have put all of them on trial for treason for killing the emperor for personal gain.

The reason all of this is happening is because the Queen Mother wanted the emperor to take more authority, but in reality, it was for herself and her father. What she was saying made no sense. It’s the regent’s job to deal with the political side of the emperor’s job because, as we all know, he’s too young for politics. As I already said, it makes sense because most historical dramas we’ve seen where young emperors rule end up getting taken advantage of when it comes to the political side because they don’t know what’s going on.

I believe that if he truly wanted to be emperor, he could have done it. That’s what I’m saying because he controlled the political side, and the political side is what gives an emperor power. An emperor has no power without his vessels backing him up. They have to vote on things, and the Queen realized that the vessels looked up to the prince agent instead of towards the emperor, and she didn’t like that.

Which is why she wanted him to marry and step aside but when he decided to marry someone she didn’t want… she and her dad started all this drama by hurting the FL and trying kill him the ML which is why he decided to defy his father‘s wish and accept his late brother’s dying degree because he realized he can’t solve any of his issues without being on the throne . Which is the absolute power . Both of them was literally on the losing end of the stick to me. It made sense to me .

And I felt like he didn’t have to convince his eight year-old nephew to handover the throne because the little boy was already there he knew everything his dad wanted he didn’t even want the throne himself. His mother is the one that forced him and manipulated him into taking it..
Imagine yourself being an eight-year-old kid you can’t even have friends or play with other kids it’s sad honestly. If you realize he calls his uncle for everything because he’s the one he trust to always be there for him vs his mother because she never understood him she didn’t care to all she saw was power.

All I’m saying is they could’ve still had the throne if they just had left well alone He wouldn’t even had bothered asking back for it.

Also personally I would think seeing to your mother killing your father by burning him alive because she can’t get her way would be more traumatizing
than your uncle asking you to hand back over the title thing tbh

It is also normal for a prince Regent to step in if the next monarch is too young.

😂😂 I bench watched it last night from 7pm all the way to this morning 😵‍💫 I was not gonna stop until I watched all episodes since this week is the final. But I feel like it’s because they’re jam packing everything into 12 episodes why so much questions are left unanswered even this late in the show.

Well, if this is true, it’s gonna more likely be the next episode. It’s only two left.

Rewatching ep1. And I’m about 70% sure that PM is siding with GP.
He’s my number one suspect for hurting ML he’s been playing both sides, keeping secrets and running around acting like he’s so in love when he’s just like every other man looking for power smh . He’s making it seem as if he’s crushed because female lead picked the ML mind you this man had years to confess, but didn’t blame yourself. Men like to think women are sitting around waiting for them . He ask her to marry him she turned him down let it go, sir. He was so wishy-washy smh FL should’ve lessened to ML that man couldn’t be trusted. He doesn’t want the ML to become emperor because then him and the FL can’t divorce so he’s making a power play .

But it wasn’t his crown from the beginning the previous emperor turned over Succession to his brother.
He knew that he was a better fit for the crown than even himself .
That’s why queen mother killed him .
He said in his decree that his son was too young to take charge he knew that they would manipulate his son just as they did him .

Remember, the little boy was there the day his mom set the fire and killed his dad he knew everything he knew that it was his mother that wanted him to rule but she manipulated him and he just let her he’s a kid and that’s his mom he wanted to make her happy.
But in the process he missed out on being a kid because of her greed.
He’s 8 he just wants to be a kid and go play like any other child . Also I think we’re forgetting that he’s emperor. This kid is actually smarter than a regular kid his age so we still can’t hold him to a regular eight year-old standard as well . I personally think he’s happy to give up the throne and that’s why he did it .
Poor thing is tried, can’t handle the pressure tbh it’s his mother that’s forcing him why do you think she keeps mentioning weak bloodline because she literally sees his dad and him.

The reason why they all tried to kick out his uncle is because he has all the power the emperor is too young to actually step into politics they didn’t like that and wanted to get rid of the ML and make him a puppet so they can take over .

Because even though her son is emperor, like she wanted he didn’t really
have any power everyone is looking towards the ML the queen mother said
it herself .
She tried to marry him off to a woman of her choosing but that didn’t work as we know .
Tbh if they had just left well alone and waited for the young emperor come of age to rule 100 percent on his own this wouldn’t happen they just got too greedy .
ML literally let them have the thrown and it wasn’t enough for queen mother or her dad .

I can’t believe that such a cinematic series with a good enough story and amazing chemistry and acting is getting…
I agree with you 100% this is such a good show it made me fall in love with both of them all over again ! Cinema at its finest the editing they use is just so amazing everybody just looks so beautiful chemistry was off the roof like always. To me revenge love was OK I feel like what made people like it so much is because it’s one of China’s first BL drama that’s mainstream I guess people just went nuts for it , but to say it’s better than Next Prince is crazy work

I liked Dear X. It's rare for a drama to have a sociopathic, villainous female lead. Kim Yoo-Jung's acting was…
That’s what I’m saying. I just feel like they’re stuck in the 80s over there and they need a better grading system because she should’ve went home with a few awards plus nominations like I got chills from her performance in Dear x She was so absorbed in her character I was mesmerized I knew she was a great actor, but wow, her role amazing I don’t think anyone else could’ve pulled it off

As in Bon Appetit had a untouchable story line
Bon appétit was just another Romance comedy tbh it was just an ok show People just like it because it’s a funny cute light watch. I like it personally cause I thought the cooking was very informative. It reminds me of the anime food wars . Would I personally use the word untouchable to describe it? No absolutely not we’ve seen way better shows 😂😂😂😂 I personally wouldn’t compare bon appétit your majesty to dear x . Two different types of show Dear x is much more complex psychological thriller than romance vs Bon appétit they shouldn’t even be in the same category to be honest they just need a better system they should’ve just created a new category and added psychological thrillers to it Dear x ,Dear Hongrang ,Friendly Rivalry etc….. instead of coming up with stupid excuses why she didn’t win or even get nominated at that I felt like that was a slap in the face tbh you could’ve told she put her all Into that character.
