The first half of this drama was really great. We had a FL fighting for her place in a male-dominated profession, an organic slow burn, great writing, and a nice pace. But the original story lost its focus around the mid-twentieth mark and it never got back; which is unfortunate.
I still think this is a pretty decent drama (I gave it a 9/10) But if you're coming for romance set your expectations extremely low.
I've been seeing Chen Du Ling in a lot of dramas lately. Her acting is pretty strong. Even in the smallest roles, she makes an impact. I heard nothing but praise for Neo Hou's acting in "I am Nobody" so I have faith in this paring.
On another note, I hope that CX has improved in her acting. Because there's no reason she should keep getting roles if there's zero change in her acting.

Maybe these people are use to seeing Cheng Yi in his wuxia dramas where everything is fast paced. I just started watching today and I love the pace of this drama.
Dramas that take place in a village setting are almost always a hit for me. There's something about the scenery and the colorful array of people that do it for me. And this drama is no different. Although the plot wasn't that innovative the chemistry between the characters especially the main leads was really good.
I'm only on episode 18 but I'm trying to understand how and why Qiao Wan Mian is in the martial arts world. She's weak and prone to asthma attacks. What exactly is her purpose?
I know this is a low-budget drama but chile the wig they had the ML wearing in EP 22 was a mess. I couldn't stop staring at it. They should have filmed the past scenes before they made him cut his hair.

Not really all that rare. Over the years I've seen many actors have multiple dramas air at the same Angel Baby and Liu Yu Ning had two dramas airing at the same time this year for example.
I know people prefer the 2ML (and I do adore Ryan Cheng) but I actually love the ML more. Yes. He has his flaws but he's sweet, considerate, and a lot smarter than people give him credit for. I actually felt incredibly bad for the actor when he had to constantly defend the character online.
If this does get a second season I don't forsee ZLH coming back to portray GZY cause of all the criticism.
It's weird the mom has never shown up in the drama when the FL was having trouble with her company but the minute she hears about the FL having a boyfriend she shows up and tries to usurp her life and have her end her relationship.
It actually made EP 19 & 20 feel like straight-up fillers and not enjoyable to watch. Maybe if they didn't make her mom the typical overbearing rude Asian mom and more of a supportive one, I might have enjoyed those episodes.
A Xu Lu drama back to back. Love to see it. But seriously I'm glad her dramas are finally being released I remember hearing about this drama 2 years ago.

Remember at the end of the first episode he sent her a message saying "found you". Basically when she was drunk she dropped her work badge and the ML picked it up and saw her name. He probably looked her up on WeChat and added her as a friend and she accepted. That's how he got her contact info.

I enjoyed this at first but had to drop it because of all the excessive side couples/characters. The focus should have been on the main two couples.
