I agree. Especially about best friend's husband. The love isn't there on his side he's showing it time and time again. I don't know why, but I feel as though the writers aren't going to really address it but if they do he's going to do something that impresses his wife (be it by her gift or telling her he loves her) She'll forgive him and that's that. That's why I pretty much clocked out of their storyline.

Exactly I thought after we saw the snippet of them at court getting a divorce we'd have more insight on the breakdown of his marriage. There's good material there so I don't understand why it's being wasted on those other irrelevant characters that do nothing to push the story forward. There's only five episodes left I don't know if that's enough time to give his character the respect he deserves.

When she asked him why he decided to marry her and his response was "I don't know" and "I say yes to everything as you know" was already a red flag. Then we witness him over and over again never wanting to be intimate with her is the full seal to wrap this marriage up. She's more into him then he is into her.
The employees treat Joo Sang Wook's character like Michael from The Office. I actually feel bad that his character is reduced to that. I also hate that they keep pushing that young woman on him. I don't know if I'm the only one but I find their interactions to be incredibly awkward and forced. I don't know if the writers are trying to make them a couple or a one-sided crush kind of thing. Either way, the writers missed the opportunity to have him and his ex-wife reconcile. I would have preferred watching them (because they actually have chemistry and things that need to be resolved from the small snippets we get from them) then the best friend and her husband (whose relationship is honestly my least favorite to watch).
She has zero self-respect at the end of episode 5. It was actually hard to watch. The way she acted throughout the last few episodes you think her lover passed. I'm pushing through because I love Yo-In-Aa but episode four should have been the end of her breakdowns.
I have to be honest Min Hui is lucky that she had a child with Xin Qi. Although I understand her reasoning on why she didn't tell him about their child five years ago, that doesn't make her decision right. Xin Qi lost five years of Quan Quan's life that he can never get back. A lot of men would have immediately just taken this to court and sued for rights but instead, he took his lawyer's advice and tried to bond with the child before attempting anything drastic. The entire show he gets pushback from Min Hui and sometimes I'm on her side from a mother's perspective and sometimes I'm not.
In my opinion, both characters should have established balance from the start. ML shouldn't have moved into her place and instead got a court order to allow him joint custody because when the law is in place, MIn Hui wouldn't have full power (sad to say this because I'm usually always team mother but five years is a lot).

Question. Why is it okay for a FL to be weak in a wuxia drama but it's wrong for a man? Not even saying he's weak because being strong doesn't just equate to being able to fight. The ML is intelligent, cunning, and resourceful. He doesn't have to fight because he has made it so that he always has people fighting for him.
I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. The leads had great chemistry but the overall plot/storyline just really sucked especially with the later half of the story. I also really hated the friend. She was super annoying and creepy when it came to her LI (who quits their job and works at a convenience store to stalk a man that they just saw for the first time? Not even talked just saw) if I could go back in time I'd skip every single scene she was in.
I love how thoughtful she is when she chooses a role for a drama. You can tell she doesn't just accept any kind of role. The script has to be good enough for her to except. I respect that.
