I think you misunderstood. Please first check out my bio, I have clearly mentioned there that I adjust ratings time to time according to my rewatch value for that particular show. My ratings are not biased to my favourites but still it may be subjective.
Additionally, I didn't ask anyone to like the review. Anyone who liked it must have read it, so did you. There is high possibility that the ones who liked the review is not solely because what ratings I have given. If that's solely the case then no one has to write long reviews explaining everything. And I still wonder what make you think that it's some kind of strategy. This is a public platform and everyone has right to share their words and experience. I can wait, LOL, I have my last exam on the day of its release... It's release date made my day.. today I was just chatting with my sister about it and the date is finally here.
After the huge disappointment with Fox Spirit Matchmaker - Red Moon Pact, 'The Double' is certainly an entertaining watch. It earned the second spot in my list of best dramas of first half of 2024 just after Joy Of Life Season 2. It's captivating that I feel it ends too early. The chemistry among leads is the best thing in there and plot itself is quite intriguing.
Why did the XFF marry SYR and become part of his awful family?
He wasn't like that when he was preparing for the exam and was in his hometown. But who can predict what will a person do in future or if he will change or not. It's only at the times of hard situations when we can truly know a person.
Same case is with Xue Fang Fei and Shen Yu Rong. When they were in their hometown, they were said to be ideal couple and even in capital too. But since when Shen Yu Rong become official in court and encountered the princess, everything started to change.
Princess become obsessed with him and he slowly started to crave power but it was subtle. Or I should say he was manipulative enough to make others believe that he only wants to be a good official, including himself. It's not explained that from when he started to have affair with Princess but it all started before Xue Fangfei's murder. It's true Princess set her up and Shen Yu Rong did not know about it. But still he is no innocent because he never intended to stand by his wife, instead he buried her alive and established himself as the true dedicative husband in the front of world.
