Title Doctor John
Can anybody tell me if this drama gets better? I dropped this drama because I kept getting annoyed by the FL's behavior (especially after episode 6, or episode 3 if we're talking full hour episodes). The fact that she stopped the ML to argue in the hallway when he was literally on his way to perform surgery was out-of-this-world stupid, IMO.
On Familiar Wife Aug 12, 2021
I'd just recommend watching Go Back Couple instead. Not even Ji Sung's presence could make me enjoy this drama.

Person Ji Sung Spoiler
i really dislike his character on familliar wife.
Honestly same. I couldn't stand his character because he was so pathetic. There were many things about Familiar Wife that I disliked, and I ended up skimming the last five episodes because I didn't care anymore and I just wanted to be done. I really hate how their kids were ultimately the ones that got screwed over; they were effectively erased from existence and never showed up in the drama again, though if I recall correctly the wife is pregnant by the end (?).

I enjoyed this drama, though it probably could've been about four episodes shorter. There was some story padding…
I actually just managed to purchase a brand new, unopened dvd set of this drama off eBay. Lucky find!

Yeah I understand what you mean its unrealistic, but I'd say give it a go. As this drama really did make me laugh…
Don't worry, they aren't related by blood at all. Their childhood connection is revealed near the end, like 2 or 3 episodes from the end. You're almost there.

Would have loved to finish this since I started it 6 years ago, but the actress ruins it for me.
Yeah, this is probably my least favorite role for Hwang Jung Eum. If you would like to see a different drama with these same leads, try Secret. She plays a much different character in that one, and it's probably my favorite of all her roles. It's a revenge melo.

Title Kill Me, Heal Me Spoiler
any bromance???except for that kiss scene??
I mean, it's kind of awkward between the two guys since they both like the FL. Not to mention the 2ML is (sort of) the FL's brother. Not really a bromantic drama between the ML and 2ML, but a little bit between the ML and his secretary.

Title Secret Love Spoiler
Every time I watch this drama, the final episode never fails to make me cry, even though I already know what happens. Hwang Jung Eum did such a good job of portraying the grief and anger of a woman whose beloved child was wrongfully stolen from her, and then, even though it hurts, decides not to inflict the same pain she experienced on the innocent mother who adopted San.
On Save the Last Dance for Me Aug 9, 2021
I enjoyed this drama, though it probably could've been about four episodes shorter. There was some story padding near the end that was mostly just unnecessary melodrama to extend the runtime, but overall a pretty good plot that was heavily carried by Ji Sung's amazing acting. I need to watch this again.

Hwang Eum Jung & Nam GoongMin
I actually liked their chemistry in Undateables. Sure, Namgoong Min didn't have an opportunity to really exercise his true dramatic acting skills because it was a romantic comedy and sometimes it was a little weird to see him act "cute", but I've watched Undateables twice now and it is one of my favorite dramas. I honestly think that people like it less than What's Wrong With Secretary Kim and Her Private Life because the leads in those two very similar dramas are much "prettier" and more internationally popular than Hwang Jung Eum and Namgoong Min. I think the Undateables gave a refreshing perspective on dating and relationships, which is partially why I like it.
On Listen to My Heart Aug 4, 2021
I'm finally returning to this drama after putting it on hold last year due to being in an emotional slump and not being in the mood for the slow-burn type of drama that CYHMH is. I had watched 18 episodes, but since it's been so long I have gone back to almost the start and am enjoying myself now.

that episode where the woman wants to have a baby is so stupid. I can't believe anyone mentioned adoption, like…
Adoption is still somewhat rare in Asian countries, and SK is no exception. In fact, there were less than 300 in-country adoptions in SK in 2020. Over there, it's almost shameful to admit to adopting a child, so people sometimes go to great lengths to hide it or at the very least they don't talk about it. It's very much a cultural thing over there; it seems strange to me since adoption does not have a negative stigma in the US, but over there it is just the norm.
On Doctor Prisoner Jul 31, 2021
A tightly written, suspenseful and action-packed drama. I did like Doctor Prisoner, though I would say that it was emotionally un-engaging. I think one of the greatest weaknesses of this drama was that only in a few brief moments did we see Na Yi Jae's true self, the man behind the mask of confidence and insensitivity. He was always plotting towards his victory and keeping up his facade, so he almost always appeared invincible. While this may have appealed to many viewers, I preferred the moments where he let his walls down, and there just weren't enough of those. I wanted to know more about the pre-revenge Na Yi Jae, and I really wanted him to open up more to So Geum. I felt like their dynamic potential was wasted in the latter half of the drama.

On a side note, this drama reminds me a lot of a British mini-series called "The Escape Artist". The main character in that drama also skirted the line between good and evil, because the law failed him at a crucial time.

Title Running Man
I know they're not replacing Kwang Soo, and I don't want them to, but I would really love to see Lee Sang Yeob back on this show. He has always had such great chemistry with the cast, especially when he was teamed up with Kwang Soo and HaHa. And he is really fun on Sixth Sense with Jae Suk as well. Maybe he could be a series irregular for RM, appearing 2-3 times a year...

i'M sorry but i feel like he never loved her. she just saw what she wanted to see
I choose to see it as a bittersweet ending; both of them were willing to die for the other, and they did.
Sung Min's own un-edited memories returned at the end, and he told her that he truly had fallen in love with her, and would willingly get hit by the car again to save her. He thought that she was trying to kill him when she picked up the water, but instead of trying to stop her he just hugged her closer. She committed suicide to protect him, because her dad wanted to use him as an exhibit for some science/robotics event, and she called her dad ahead of time basically to tell him she was choosing to die so he could use her as the exhibit instead. Then the cycle of loving deceit repeats with her, as now Sung Min is now the one with complete memories, and Se Jung is the one who is blissfully ignorant of the painful memories. She doesn't remember that she met Sung Min in college, she thinks she met him at work. Sung Min didn't want her to remember that she killed herself, nor the pain associated with their past. Now how to interpret the very last moment of the episode, where the light flashes red on her back after she says "that was the moment I knew he loved me", I'm not sure if that was intended to indicate she was lying or just to tell us as the viewers that she was now a cyborg like her husband (or both).
I don't know why this drama special only has a 7.9 rating on MDL. I watched it and enjoyed every second. I loved the way that the story was told to the viewer; you were never certain of the "true" sequence of events until the end, as each flashback was told from different perspectives. The ending was also so poignant. I really wish that this had been turned into a mini-drama, maybe 6-8 episodes long, because the story had such great potential to be fleshed out into a longer format.
