I think everyone has said what I thought in the comments below so I will leave this here. The production is so good. The way they shot that fight scene in ep 10 with Gun playing White and Black and having a stunt man do the choreography between the three of them, it was so well done and great cuts from the stuntman to Black's face. Bravo.
Yes, in the novel Gram loves Black (and is the only one who hadn't figured out that it's White the whole time...…
OMG! LOL I think the original novel will irritate me too much. I won't hunt it down. I like what they have done in the TV Series a lot so far. No one is stupid or annoying.
Akk hates the other guys so much and I love that for him. They’re all trash. Saifah less so, but still: trash.…
Thats what I thought. Theo and Akk are so close already, everything else is soooo irrelevant and pointless which I think is the problem of this story and pacing because there is no real emotional investment or problems between them that couldn't be solved with a quick, honest chat. I also agree that, apart from Akk , every character lacks substance.
everyone complaining that they cant enjoy the show because we all know Theo is going to end up with? like of course…
Yes we always know who the end game is for most BL series but I would say with this particular show, the only thing that keeps me watching is the journey the MLs are on but even that is pretty thin because it is already clear they like either other but they are elongating the processes with this trivial Enchante nonsense. Everything else is meaningless and pointless really. I wouldn't even call it an interesting mess because the so called "mess" is unimportant and has no impact on the main characters. Theo is pretty resolute on who he wants and who this whole Enchante nonsense is really for. Only Akk seems to be questioning his position in Theo's life which is nothing a good conversation wouldn't solve in minutes. Theo is taking a very long and round about way of trying to expose Akk's feelings. Everything else is pretty dull fodder imo. I blame the script and storyline for not having more substance. The actors are trying their best with what they have. We shall see if the package improves next episode.
At first I was a little surprised that this series was only 10 eps when they are usually 14 and now I am questioning why its not 8 or less. They are really stretching out the story as there really isn't much to work with. All this filler scenarios and just lack of anything interesting. There really is no emotional investment for the characters or audience. The mystery itself is not even interesting as there is no emotional investment there either. It is pretty meaningless. Just a bunch of good looking guys with very little personality all lying to each other and not doing much with their time. I am a little disappointed because it seems that it should be something that is cute and fluffy to pass the time but it isn't even that because it is so dull. I mean, Fluke is becoming good eye candy these days but this gives him nothing to work with and we all now know that he can do some great acting from Not Me. I will see if anything changes next episode but its quite boring to watch the full episode and it took me 3 hours to finish watching this weeks as it couldn't hold my attention. I am still hoping for the best and a turn around... but I may put this on hold and then fast forward through it when it is done.
There's an ex who won't let go. I wouldn't call it a love triangle but she does hesitate a third of the drama.…
He hardly got punished. He just didn't get what he wanted. That was the most of the punishment. Boohoo poor baby. I don't know how I watched this after all. I did skip most of the side couple stories. I think it was just because the leads had great visuals and chemistry. Now to find something with a bit more substance.
I wanted to start this one but after all those comments imma skip it 😭
I saw the reviews and almost didn't watch, but since it was short I tried it. It wasn't as bad as people say imo. You can fill in the blanks if you listen to what they say and understand the motivations. You have to do a bit of thinking in this one and not rely on having everything spoon fed. For the short time they had to tell a story, I think it was ok. Not the best, but also not the worst. FYI: I watched the movie version, not the series. I am not sure if that makes a difference.
Can anyone tell me if this white haze blurred effect is constant in the whole series? It really distracts me…
Yes I found the blur sooo weird. I think they eased up on it in much later episodes but maybe I got used to it? The filming/ cinematography was so weird. At one point the bokeh was unbelievably strong and unnecessary and distracting.
Pretty cute. Nice moments but one thing that hasn't left me is that whole storyline they seemed to have dropped when the evil Gumiho used his face to mutilate all those women and the detectives wanted to talk to him. That whole thing went unresolved and disappeared into nothing even though they were building up to it and then poof. Story line dropped as soon as he killed the evil one and the detective thing was never resolved. That was the only thing I was kind thinking if that would come back the whole time. The rest was standard fare. Nicely done. Lots of famous faces popping in.
Phupha mentioned he is Theo's peer mentor and mentors are informed when they get mentee.
Some of the shows based in colleges in Thailand show the peer mentee thing. Like most recently Bad Buddy had it but I remember seeing it a few times before. I am not sure about this show but its okay enough at the moment. I am using it to kill time until Cutie Pie arrives.
