On Mr.QueenI agree with the points madeThoughI have to criticize the changes made to the character Mr. Queen so…
Thank you, this one is a tough one, The firs half has some scenes that could be considered punch down punchilnes that I chose not to discuss for the sake of the whole being me chosing not to laugh at it and finding it very interesting from a construction of society point of view because I honestly felt that took the upper hand in this half.
The other half is more blurred lines not as many punch lines but more letting the audiance decide and making way for people within the spectrum to find some kind of representation but still it does cater a little bit to much to the heteronormative eye. So I intereperted it as progressive. one of my friends commented on this article saying that that what they saw in mr Queen was writers wanting to be progressive but struggling for it in an otherwise conservative society, That said I really do not know, about how the South Korean society is on this matter but it sounded interesting. It is also interesting to read how differently people interpert these scens.
Wow. Well done for addressing this topic Shiro! I guarantee it's something all drama lovers have thought about…
To be compleatly honest most of these do have potentially problematic points if you dig in to it, however I wnated to try to focus on the positive parts and on the dramas as a whole. Much because this is as close as we get to seeing non confirming behaviour in the mainstream eye, as well as them having all these good and really important messages in them as well. Having awearness makes it easyer to see both the good and the bad I guess. Any way thank you so much for commenting on my article,
As a child with a Japanese mother and a Seabee father, born after WWII in Japan and growing up on military bases…
What an interesting eperiance, thank you so much for sharing it with me/us, I think that the most important part of all the definitions out there is to give people the option of finding one (or more that fit) but how important finding the exact word verie from person to person. Language is really powerful that way.
My favorite crossdressing drama is "The Painter of the Wind (2008)", it even has lowkey wlw romance. I always…
Thank you for commenting and for complimenting my article ☺ I have not seen that one yet, nut maybe I will. There is a whole field of gender studies on that subject, how it came to be and in what ways men are more valued than women. Do not get me wrong woman and non males can be loved, and apreciated, but as society anything feminie still gets valued less then the masculine . You will see it in the wage gap as well as how ocuations status as well as wages go down onse more women et al enter the field. Just to mention a few. I hope you will keep on thinking, it is more interesting that way (I think) .
I had to google this whole sentence (sorry I am old), did I get this right: Femboy- someone who defines himself as male but presents himself as feminie and ngl means not gonna lie? So you where saying that you find femenine boys attractive, well I am all for a veriaty to be human so whatever rocks your boat I guess. Thank you for reading ang giving me the oppertunity to google something new ❤
Mr.Queen triggered dreams I had never had in a long time that screamed bisexuality to me. I had identified as…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it is intersting how Dramas can affect us that way ❤ opeople seldom talk about it but, bisexualls do get married as well, while staying bisexuall.
I write stories for fun, but i think I'll keep this article in mind and make sure my characters except for the…
Interesting abot the writing stories, happy to read you will keep this in mind, I write about K-dramas in part 2 they may or may not have made the cut there....
If you don't like something, you can not watch it. I was not happy with the representation of women and men (and…
What you consider abuse I consider important representation, and I honestly have no clue if you are confused about the difference between pornografi and nudity or if that is how you feel. However you obviously did not read more than a few sentences (in both of my articles) to make up your mind. Seeing we are on completely different sides I see no point of discussing this further with you and wish you a good day.
Jag var glatt överaskad av att kronprinsen i The King'S Affection faktiskt ser ganska mycket ut som en man. Det…

Interesting article! Another cross dressing drama I enjoy a lot of Queen Seondeok, which is one of my favourite…
Thank you for appreciating it, I have not seen Queen Seondeok, But maybe I will someday. I saw splash, splash love yesterday, had I seen it before writing this it would probably also had been mentioned.
