Sweet

First of all I do have to say that he/she teses you because she/he likes you is generally not a good way to go. However in this drama the way she teases him is just soooo cute and a bit to much fun to watch.

The way these two interact with each other and thdir surroundings is just a blast to watch making this an easy binge. It may not have a lot of substance but it tells a sweet story of puppy love, friendship and well a lot of teasing....

Now I must find the sequel film

Sweet and informative

This is a short sweet slice of drama, One that shows the importance of finding meaning and belonging as well as people who will appreciate you just the way you are. Not because of piti or duty or some kind of inspirational story. But because of who one truly is.

As for our leads the smiles, the way one them eats and two completely different approaches to pure and honset are a pleasure to watch.

While I admit some parts of this drama felt more like an educational than a drama, and one of our male leads does have som impuls/anger issues. I still felt like I could love each character as well as what they contributed to the story. Offering very spot on scenes about life with a disability and the different ways people partly cope but also the many ways sociaty contributes to ones silence and life harder than it should be.

Having a soft spot for dramas that show people with disabilities as more than becoming the disability (even if the disability took a lot of space I did feel that the true story was more about living rather than surviving, friendship and of course romance.

The drama also seems to want to send a message that there are different types of intelligence, different paths to take and that what works for one person may not work for another there is also av very clear message about how hard it can be to communicate and understand not only the sender (hearing or not) but also ones self.

Not the best drama of my life

This is one of those drams that starts off okay, and has almost all of my favourite tropes.... Especially when you count the second couple that more or less out shine the first one.

The female lead is kind oh so kind, a part of me wondered if they would name a street after her. She also lacks self a steam and could use trying to communicate over assuming stuff. The male lead is frustratingly slow (yes within 14 episodes) devoted, possessive, cold didn't really impress me much even though I usually love my icicle leads. The cat is however cute.

But then it gets draggy, oh so draggy, and preachy making my eyes role yet again.... So much that I considered dropping it at episode 14 before I realised it only had 14 episodes so I pushed though that last episode and was greatful they didnt try to make it 24.

Being a better adult and learning to loose

This drama makes very little sense and gathers a whole lot of terrible, terrible adults, mostly terrible masculine adults. Selfish, hot headed men who do more or less anything to trample on anyone they see fit. Brining out my anger and making me wish doom upon them. I also kept wondering how these men could survive in an environment where there are guns and physically strong teens that out number them by quite a lot.

But seriously very little of the reasoning in this made sense... Like dude has a non contagious illness, we can't have that guy around the kids but a violent dude who assaults them is just peachy. WHAT? Or Throw the match to let your student win or else you are a bad coach?

As a vice principal I shall do all to oppress the kids so I can move funding to impress the guy up in the chain.... again WHAT? Or and a lead who rather be remembered as someone who doped and took away the nations gold than come out as sick....

The friendships among both adults and teens are top, top. The character growth is sweet, there is a little bit to much yelling and several highly annoying characters however annoying as they are they are kind of needed for the plot. So I let it slide.

That said it has some moments of fluff, other moments of suspense and decent acting. And the message is actually pretty nice. We should all focus on being decent adults and loosing is a natural part of life.

Good start but fails the psychiatric test...

This drama has some sweet moments and lovely friendships it starts off really interesting with love to hate with a twist math/secret pen pal twist.

Our male lead is a cold guy who really never ever lets anybody finish their sentences a tendansy that only gets wors towards the later episodes. Our poor female lead is a supernatural super hero or has like 5 clones. I love her but there is no way on earth a human can do all that and still survive.

The evil second female lead is as portrayed as the most conniving woman ever to walk the earth, For a drama that seems to want to talk about mental illness they seem to completely lack any basic understanding of human psychiatry and psychology. I may not be an expert, really I am not but the way they try to portray PTSD and depression just feel off and there is no way the evil female second female lead has the right chemical balance in her mind.

Other than that there is a cool aunt, a highly predictable best friend or two and some other lovable characters and is a pretty easy binge. However all this good is just not really enough for me to recommend it even if it started off as an 8,5 the later episodes just fall flat and are meeh. The kisses feel generic (though they try), and there is just one to many questionable approaches to mental health to make me wanna recommend it.

The female leads smile is everything.

Sweet communiy, predictable story, adorable female lead and a male lead that looked a lot better when he had facial hair .... Still it is an easyromcom. The female leads smile adss a star or two, the gangsters/debtc olletors deduct a star or two but over all it was an easy watch with decent representation and great kisses. I won´t say it is actually worth a watch but if you don´t have anything better and are in the mood for some colourful cringe.

Go for it

If only chemistry could carry a show

This is a story about an extremely stubborn immature quick to judge girl and a guy who is training to be a lawyer but is kind of controlling and seems to completely lacks vocabulary to complete a conversation, Tho his defence the girl doesn't really give him a chance to communicate. Which pretty much setts the stage for the drama in this otherwise cringe and sweet romance .

The amount of second hand embarrassment I felt while watching this was enough to last a lifetime...

The chemistry is good, the romance okay, a bit cringe and I sis wonder sometimes if they where flirting or having an adult magazine photoshoot. But over all the way they looked at each other set off explosives. So I would love to see the leads together in a better story and though I do not have very high hopes about the shared universe dramas that are being released on viki.

While you where sleeping (1995) goes full Lakorn

This drama is is basically the storyline of while you were sleeping from 1995 reamde in to a lakorn switching out the kind family to evil adomptiv mother and brother. The first few episodes are extremely true to the plot of the film from scars in the groin to healthissues and break downs before it takes a dive in to the deep dark waters of the lakorn where all sweetness is basically washed off with the Thai soap making it it's own thing.

The characters (all of them), have highly questionable both ethics and braincells, this truly is a Muscle-cell over Braincell type of deal. Abs over Acting. Visuals over Plot... A drama that feels more like a bad parody than a full story. The only thing keeping you in suspense is that feeling of no they wouldn't stoop that low, or would they? only to realise they could go even lower... And oh did they go low.

If you loved the original movie and want a good oh this is so bad laugh this is not a bad choice, if but if you are looking to any kind of substance move along there is nothing to see here.

Silly and lacking process

This movie could have been good but there is no process, every single scene is under developed and I am not really sure what they are trying to say here, unless it is don't get caught up in what people say and an eye for en eye makes you the eye.

There could of course be more to it, something about society being quick to judge and that nothing really changes, or maybe some type of you we are all the villains in a world where people suck. Careful what you wish for, careful what you say someone may take it seriously... But it was all cluttered by the loudness, the mobs an the flickering camera.

Making my wish for depth... or my wishful interperted depth and the presence of some good actors up the score but my honest opinion would probably be meeh...

The yelling lab

Hard working hot headed female lead meets cold as Ice male lead this could have given us lots and lots of bickering fun but all I got was aworn out mute button and a feeling of why?

The most interesting character in this is the rich ex wife. the rest have some moments here and there but all the good is overshadowed by the over the top supposedly comedy that had me roling my eyes so many times I should be thankful I can still use them.

Why did I keep watching it, honestly I am not sure.... probably the sweet and the cold between the yelling and this hope of getting to watch something better. Also I do love potatoes so I had to support the cause.

A lot of growth in a bit to short time.

I could pretty much start this review with all the words I said in the review for season one as the first few episodes really had the same feels and I indeed wanted nothing more than to to push Kou off his high horse.. and free him from his saviour complex and make him realise how much he is hurting the girl he is supposed to love.

Some of my wishes came though, others did not but one thing was clear in this season and that is that every single character grew, with rocket speed character development and people wanting to be part of the ride. Making me go you go girl! but also, no, no, no...

I do not really know how much I am willing to forgive and forget, and I I have conflicting feelings about both male leads. That ssaid I love the honesty between the musician and Futaba. Another thing is certain, I miss Yuri and the bread as they had way to little screen time this season. However all in all it was a good sequel, juat as good if not better in a way.

Cringey start but gets better

This is one of those dramas that made me think to drop or not to drop during those first 4-6 episodes but for some reason I kept watching (do not ask me why, it could have just been my mood). However once 'the story progressed I found myself really enjoying the dynamics between the cast as well as the male leads cold yet sweet nature.

There is something adorable about the way the two interact and look at each other. As well as the coming to terms with ones emotions. Holding back, holding hands, and then not holding back the least... Unlike many other c's where the slow physical progress (4 years for a kiss on the cheek) has had me wonder if the leads are either ACE or one part sexual predator. Once the couples get together both parts actually do seem to be attracted to one another not only emotionally but also physically. Not only do the girls also want to kiss their partners but the partners do not force them selfs on the girls unless you count moving ones head from one side to the other moving a kiss from the cheek to the mouth.

The drama also shows some decent friendships, the type that make you stronger rather than weaker and okay parants that did not make my blood boil even once (even if one of the dads had his bad moments).

The logic in this is not really great, and the casting of early and later female lead was really really, really bad, The pacing at times feels a bit off and there is not really much of a main plot to this, as nothing really happens to the villains and any sign of drama is kind of swept away in to nothingness. All lowering the score, but to be honest it is a strong7,5 maybe even a 7,74.

So if you can endure some second hand embarrassment and cringe you will be rewarded with an easy binge and not only a sweet sweet romance but also a bunch of friendship and a decent second and third couple.

Morally ambiguous, hot and full of umbrellas

This is an easy watch about people caught in seemingly fine relationship that have been taken over by lack of communication and sexual frustration.

When one part clearly needs something else but dare not say it, finding someone who understands can not only bring comfort but also offer some kind of relief.

What I love about this drama is that it lets us in to the land of relationships gone bad from a perspective we rarely get to see and does not skimp on the consequences. The strain of thought and everything within, the different ways to deal with all these conflicting thoughts and the difference between consensual behaviour and not so consensual behaviour are all showing pretty well.

I cant say this is a sweet and pure story, but it did get my mind working.

Brain off type of drama

To watch this drama you must first switch off your brain, and try to ignore the signals telling you this can not be right... on like any logical, ethical or ethnical level.

Once you pass the second hand embarrassment and wtf of the me Tarzan you My man or I will keep you in a cage phase... If you make it though it that is you will then move on to some more second hand embarrassment, 0 logic and by that I mean really 0 logic plotlines, rushed twists, never ending plot lines and more second hand embarrassment.

HOWEVER

The female lead is a blast, she is fun, smart, naive, yet really, really cool, lovable. Why oh why she would fall for the male lead is beyond me.

Fine the dude has a nice smile and a certain playfulness and the whole irresistible tame the playboy charm... And the leads interactions are ideed fun to watch. But the female lead is waaaay out of his league. And the plot around him is just so very meeeh,

The friendships again make 0 sense but are kind of cute and the old dude predictable as he may be has his charm.

Back to the twists the only thing to keep them from being spotted a mile a way is the thought that it would be to obvious or to stupid so they really shouldnt go there... but honestly they are that stupid they really are.

The dubbing is also bad...

So if you can turn off your brain, and fall for the female lead as much as I did you may make it to the end, if you cant then watch litterely anything else. Your can find better.

Whispering, Short, Sweet kind of Sexy

This is an easy binge, a nice pallet cleanser between heavier drama, packed with humour flirting, insecurity.

In the center of this drama there is a big misunderstanding and traumas past, There to offer some kind of meaning to this otherwise easy flirtatious fluff.

The pacing is a bit fast for my taste, and I do believe they use action above words most of the time... But they did make way for some pretty sexy and fun shower and bed scenes offering us such great lines as "Do you ever think of me while you play with yourself in the shower"

A decent watch, with nothing but lovable interesting characters.

P.S. The whispers in this deserve a tag of their own.

Also the casting for the young versions was perfection.
